Dreams on a Pillow is a video game experience about the 1948 Nakba, an event where roughly 700,000 people were displaced from their land and homes due to Zionist occupation. The game, described as “a pseudo-3D stealth adventure game about a land full of people being made into a people without land,” is from Palestinian developer Rasheed Abu-Eideh. But before I tell you more about that, let me tell you about his previous game. In 2016, Abu-Eideh released Liyla and the Shadows of War , a game about a 2014 assault on Gaza by Israel, known as Operation Protective Edge. Liyla follows a Palestinian girl and her family as they navigate attacks in their neighborhood. It’s short but emotional, and it blends elements of platformers and choose-your-own-adventure storytelling. In 2021, the game was a part of an Indie Bundle Pack that raised nearly $900,000 for Palestinian aid through UNRWA USA. Currently, Liyla and the Shadows of War is free on mobile and Windows. But back in 2016, it was initially rejected as a game in the Apple App Store. Abu-Eideh was told to remove all description of it as a “Game” and re-categorize it as “News” or “Reference” due to its political nature. The hypocrisy of the decision was noted by many at the time: As reported by Eurogamer , Apple denied Liyla as a game, but allowed a game called Israeli Heroes in the game section. After Abu-Eideh spoke about Apple’s decision on social media, Apple finally allowed Liyla to be categorized as a game. Dreams on a Pillow is currently being crowdfunded by Abu-Eideh on LaunchGood till Jan. 13, and funds raised from the LaunchGood campaign will go towards asset creation, outsourcing, and salaries for the current team of 9 individuals. The game is aiming to launch in Q4 2026. Gaming News VideoHow a Nebraska farmer is using new drone technology to help cropswild casino phone number

She’s not here to make friends — unless it’s Mayor Eric Adams! Hizzoner’s luxury real estate agent pal Eleonora Srugo will star in a new reality TV show called “Selling the City” — with ads for the Netflix series featuring her in a revealing red outfit. Srugo, who hustles for the high-end firm Douglas Elliman, snagged the “Selling Sunset” spin-off deal after soaring to the top of the cut-throat Big Apple property industry in recent years. Srugo has also become a Gotham political player, who is as well known for her close ties to Adams as she is for her sales acumen. Described by a source as “part of his gang,” the property maven often posts chummy photos with the mayor on social media and hobnobs with him at nightlife venues . “She goes everywhere with him, flies with him and goes over [to his home] in the middle of the night,” the source said of their all-hours hang outs. “She protects him and uses his name everywhere.” The source added, “She’s closer with him than Jenifer [Rajkumar],” the State Assembly woman, who’s often seen joining Hizzoner at events around the city. Adams “definitely doesn’t have any shady deals with [Srugo],” the source said. Srugo bristled when asked about gossip tying her meteoric rise in real estate to her Adams connections. “If people cannot justify a woman’s success — whether it’s by having connections, wealthy parents, or who your husband is — then there is certainly a default to try to talk about her behavior,” Srugo said, when asked about the “swirling rumors” in an interview with Netflix.com “There’s a belittling that happens with women in business, and it’s a constant struggle and fight to work against those narratives.” Srugo’s soapy new series is billed as featuring “a team of stylishly savvy New York real estate agents [who] hustle to seal multimillion-dollar deals while stirring up drama.” An ad for the show, which premieres Jan. 3, shows her dressed in a plunging red suit coat with a team of scantily clad agents and the Manhattan skyline behind her. Despite her friendship with Adams, the show will not feature a cameo from the limelight-loving mayor, a rep for Netflix told Politico. Srugo was first introduced to Adams through her work with the Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association’s Mentoring Program, which she founded at age 26. “It’s something that’s deeply important to me because it represents some of the lowest income students in the city,” she told Netflix.com. “At that time, [Adams] was supportive of maintaining these specialized science high schools and expanding those programs. He’s been a good and loyal friend. Like me, he is very community-minded and supportive if I need something.” Srugo, who is politically charged on issues ranging from education to her support for Israel, has backed Adams since the beginning of his administration in January 2022.Three-time All-Star Khris Middleton is expected to make his first appearance of the season for the Milwaukee Bucks when they visit the Boston Celtics on Friday night. Middleton, 33, had surgery on both ankles in the offseason. He practiced Wednesday before a 119-104 loss to Atlanta ended Milwaukee's seven-game winning streak. More info Tulisa Contostavlos ' ex best friend has admitted he hasn't spoken to the singer in over a year. The N-Dubz star sparked concern with fans following her exit from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here. Her time on the show marked her return to the spotlight following her time as an X Factor judge in 2013. Tulisa, who was the third celeb to leave the ITV show this week, has already left Australia following her eviction. She opened up about feeling "overwhelmed" and tackling mental health challenges after her stint in the jungle. Upon her exit, Tulisa was met by her best friend Michelle McKenna on the bridge after leaving camp. Reports have claimed Tulisa had argued with Michelle over the content of her social media posts, which her friend had access to while she was in the jungle. But the singer clapped back, insisting there's no drama with her pal Michelle or Daniel Johnson, who flew down under to cheer her on. Now, her former friend and personal assistant Gareth Varey has revealed the pair had a falling out. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Gareth said: "I don't know what's going on with her. I haven't seen or spoken to her for 14 months. We did the N-Dubz tour together and when that finished we went our separate ways." He added that although they were once thick as thieves, those days are long gone, reports the Mirror . Another source told the publication: "Tulisa and Gareth have been incredibly close for years, and he would normally be the one to greet her after a big event like the jungle, but they had a disagreement shortly before she went in. They were practically inseparable." The friends had previously lived together at Tulisa's £4million mansion , after meeting when Gareth was a backup dancer on N-Dubz's 2009 tour. In her 2012 autobiography, Honest, Tulisa wrote: "We are friends for life. There were times when we both sat crying in each other's arms, I've never had that with anyone before. And pretty soon it was obvious this was more than just a passing or a faddy friendship, we were two peas in a pod." "Gareth automatically slipped into a motherly role, worrying about me all the time and showing real concern if ever I was upset or sad. It's the reason I made him my PA, we adored one another, I was chuffed to bits when he took the job. From the night we met onwards, we have been virtually inseparable." OK! has approached Tulisa's representatives for comment. Following reports of a rift between Tulisa and her friend Michelle after her jungle exit, Tulisa posted on Instagram: "Absolutely no issue with my sis's posts... Haven't argued with my best mate in over 10 years. We literally don't have arguments, they don't exist in our world. Only love. Same with my bro. That's what makes us so strong and my soul fam so special to me. Say what u want about me, but leave my Shelly and Dan alone pls x." Speaking to the Mirror, a spokesperson for Tulisa revealed: "There has been absolutely no fall out between Tulisa and her best friend Michelle. They haven't argued once since Tulisa left the jungle. Michelle in fact travelled back to London with Tulisa. This story has been completely fabricated and wasn't even sent to Tulisa's team for a chance to comment prior to publication. The decision for Tulisa to return home to the UK was agreed to by the production for welfare reasons."

DAKAR: Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko said Friday that his government would submit legislation to repeal a law by former president Macky Sall granting amnesty for deadly political violence. The controversial amnesty was granted just before March 2024 elections as Sall sought to calm protests sparked by his last-minute postponement of the vote in the traditionally stable West African country. Critics say the move was to shield perpetrators of serious crimes, including homicides, committed during three years of political tensions between February 2021 and February 2024. But it also allowed Sonko, a popular opposition figure, to stand in the elections after court convictions had made him ineligible, as well as Bassirou Diomaye Faye, who eventually won the presidency. Sonko’s government pledged earlier this month to investigate dozens of deaths resulting from the political violence between 2021 and 2024. “In addition to putting compensation for victims into the budget, a draft law will be submitted to your august Assembly to repeal the March 6, 2024 amnesty so that light may be shed and responsibilities determined on whatever side they may lie,” Sonko said in a highly awaited policy speech to lawmakers. “It’s not a witch hunt and even less vengeance ... It’s justice, the foundation without which social peace cannot be built,” Sonko said. Sonko’s speech also laid out plans for the next five years to pull Senegal out of three years of economic and political turmoil that have sent unemployment soaring. He and Faye, who won the presidency and in November secured a landslide victory in parliament, now have a clear path for implementing an ambitious, leftist reform agenda. “We must carry out a deep and unprecedented break never seen in the history of our country since independence” from France, Sonko told lawmakers. He said Senegal remained “locked into the colonial economic model” and vowed an overhaul of public action and tax reforms to foster “home-grown growth.”Gary Lineker jokes about his Match Of The Day exit as he returns to show

No. 3 USC welcomed its first sell-out crowd of the season Saturday, looking to build off the excitement of its first Pac-12 title in a decade and first Elite Eight appearance in three years. Instead, No. 6 Notre Dame came into USC’s house and poured cold water all over the Trojans’ early ambitions. In a game between top-10 teams, USC appeared overmatched by the Fighting Irish, falling behind early and losing contact in the fourth quarter, as Notre Dame won 74-61 and collected arguably the most impressive win of the young college basketball season. Advertisement The nation’s two best sophomores showed out, as Hannah Hidalgo led the Irish with 24 points and eight assists and JuJu Watkins had 24 points and five assists for the Trojans. However, it was Notre Dame’s defense that set the tone. The Irish flew all over the court, limiting USC to 10 first-quarter points and 35.8 percent shooting for the day. The preseason All-American was repeatedly bothered by Kate Koval at the rim and could often barely hold on to the ball into the post due to digs from the Irish guards. Meanwhile, Notre Dame got a stellar performance from its second star, as Olivia Miles controlled the tempo, had three steals and created multiple looks for her teammates on drives and kicks. Miles added 20 points, including four 3-pointers, as she showed off her jumper in front of the many WNBA personnel in attendance. Small fish, pig Pond: Lakers excited for tougher waters in Central Lakes ConferencePittsburgh quarterback Eli Holstein was carted off the field with 5:32 left in the first quarter with an apparent left ankle injury during Saturday's Atlantic Coast Conference game against host Louisville. The freshman was sacked at the Panthers' 49-yard line by Louisville's Ashton Gillotte, who rolled on the quarterback's ankle. Holstein was in a walking boot as he was helped to the cart. Holstein missed last week's game against Clemson after suffering a head injury in the loss to Virginia two weeks ago. Holstein was 3-for-5 passing for 51 yards and an interception before exiting. Gary Lineker has joked about his Match Of The Day departure as he hosted the show for the first time since confirming he is to step down. The BBC announced last week that Lineker will leave his role as host, which he has held since 1999, at the end of the current football season. Saturday’s episode of the football highlights programme opened with pundit Alan Shearer, Lineker’s fellow former England striker, saying direct to the camera: “All good things must come to an end.” Lineker then appeared, and said: “Yes Alan – Lee Carsley’s England reign is over. It’s back to business in the Premier League.” Despite his exit, the 63-year-old will remain with the BBC after both parties agreed to a contract extension through to the 2026 World Cup. Lineker will host BBC Sport’s coverage of the FA Cup in the 2025-26 campaign and continue presenting the Match Of The Day: Top 10 podcast for BBC Sounds, which will also host The Rest Is Football podcast, produced by Lineker’s Goalhanger Podcasts, with one episode released on the platform each week. The BBC has said future plans for Match Of The Day would be “announced in due course” with Mark Chapman, Alex Scott, Kelly Cates and Gabby Logan among those being tipped as candidates to replace him. Following the announcement, Lineker said it “has been an absolute joy and privilege to present such an iconic show for the BBC, but all things have to come to an end” on his podcast, The Rest Is Football. He added: “I bowed out in my football career when I felt it was the right time. I feel this is now the right time. “I think the next contract they’re looking to do Match Of The Day slightly differently, so I think it makes sense for someone else to take the helm.” Lineker has hosted Match Of The Day since 1999 and will have presented the show for more than a quarter of a century when he leaves in May 2025.Check out the report card from Nebraska's 44-25 win against Wisconsin on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Who can name Nebraska's last 100-yard rusher in a game, before Emmett Johnson achieved the feat Saturday? Johnson ran like he had something to prove, repeatedly shedding the first Badger to get to him. His best run of the day may have been a 19-yard burst in the third quarter when he patiently followed pulling linemen Ben Scott and Henry Lutovsky. Dante Dowdell has a knack for the end zone, scoring three times. (Trivia answer: Chubba Purdy ... against Wisconsin last year). Dylan Raiola has his rhythm back. He spent most of the game hovering around a 70 percent completion rate, which is reminiscent of his first four or five games. The ball is getting out of his hands quicker, and those pitch-and-catches are finally going for big gains. One of his best throws of the day was originally ruled a touchdown on a fade ball to Isaiah Neyor, but replay confirmed he didn't get a foot down. Jahmal Banks had a great TD snag in which he leaped, snared the ball and got his toes down. John Bullock's second tackle for loss of the game stopped Wisconsin's Tawee Walker on fourth-and-1 midway through the third quarter, and it felt like an early dagger for the home team. Bullock was a standout on senior day. The Huskers had some open-field tackling issues but held their own on third- and fourth-down situations. Darrion Dupree was a nice change-of-pace option for the Badgers, averaging 7.5 yards on his seven attempts. Wisconsin found success early on slant passes, including one that went to Vinny Anthony for 42 yards after Isaac Gifford whiffed on a tackle. After that, Braedyn Locke was able to open it for deep balls, including touchdown tosses of 24 and 58 yards. Wisconsin's Vinny Anthony had a big day, racking up six catches for 128 yards and Locke threw for more yards than he has in his past five games. A cool moment for DeShon Singleton, who came down with an interception in his final game at Memorial Stadium. Brian Buschini is having a great season, and Saturday was another notch on his belt. First, he ripped a 52-yard punt that flipped field possession, and he followed that up with a 49-yard boot that went out of bounds at the Wisconsin 3-yard line. Equally as impressive was kicker John "ol' reliable" Hohl, who made all three of his field goals and stayed clean on extra points. Oh, and how about Jacory Barney's 55-yard kick return to open the game? NU's third phase is trending up after a turbulent stretch. A question we might not ever get an answer to: Why was Matt Rhule forced to use a challenge to review Wisconsin's first-quarter touchdown? Don't all scoring plays get reviewed automatically? In a similar situation later in the game, Wisconsin was spared from using a challenge for officials to take another look at a Nebraska touchdown, which was reversed. Also, the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Micah Mazzccua for spiking the ball on a touchdown felt unnecessary. Nebraska scored a touchdown on its first possession of a game for the first time since the Northern Iowa game. A true tone-setter. There's plenty to unpack from Holgorsen's play sheet — it's no coincidence it only took him two games to pop a 100-yard rusher. And, 44 points for a team that has scored 20 (twice), 17, 7 and 14 in its past five games. That'll do. For the first time in 49 days, Nebraska won a football game. That was a long 49 for everyone involved. This one is a little more cathartic than usual, too, as the Huskers finally wrapped their arms around a bowl berth. It also takes a big bite out of the pressure NU faces on Black Friday vs. Iowa, which is no longer a "must-win." Special counsel moves to dismiss election interference and classified documents cases against Trump

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Formula 1 on Monday at last said it will expand its grid in 2026 to make room for an American team that is partnered with General Motors. “As the pinnacle of motorsports, F1 demands boundary-pushing innovation and excellence. It’s an honor for General Motors and Cadillac to join the world’s premier racing series, and we’re committed to competing with passion and integrity to elevate the sport for race fans around the world," GM President Mark Reuss said. "This is a global stage for us to demonstrate GM’s engineering expertise and technology leadership at an entirely new level.” The approval ends years of wrangling that launched a U.S. Justice Department investigation into why Colorado-based Liberty Media, the commercial rights holder of F1, would not approve the team initially started by Michael Andretti. Andretti in September stepped aside from leading his namesake organization, so the 11th team will be called Cadillac F1 and be run by new Andretti Global majority owners Dan Towriss and Mark Walter. The team will use Ferrari engines its first two years until GM has a Cadillac engine built for competition in time for the 2028 season. Towriss is the the CEO and president of Group 1001 and entered motorsports via Andretti's IndyCar team when he signed on financial savings platform Gainbridge as a sponsor. Towriss is now a major part of the motorsports scene with ownership stakes in both Spire Motorsports' NASCAR team and Wayne Taylor Racing's sports car team. Walter is the chief executive of financial services firm Guggenheim Partners and the controlling owner of both the World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers and Premier League club Chelsea. “We’re excited to partner with General Motors in bringing a dynamic presence to Formula 1," Towriss said. “Together, we’re assembling a world-class team that will embody American innovation and deliver unforgettable moments to race fans around the world.” Mario Andretti, the 1978 F1 world champion, will have an ambassador role with Cadillac F1. But his son, Michael, will have no official position with the organization now that he has scaled back his involvement with Andretti Global. “The Cadillac F1 Team is made up of a strong group of people that have worked tirelessly to build an American works team,” Michael Andretti posted on social media. “I’m very proud of the hard work they have put in and congratulate all involved on this momentous next step. I will be cheering for you!” The approval has been in works for weeks but was held until after last weekend's Las Vegas Grand Prix to not overshadow the showcase event of the Liberty Media portfolio. Max Verstappen won his fourth consecutive championship in Saturday night's race, the third and final stop in the United States for the top motorsports series in the world. Grid expansion in F1 is both infrequent and often unsuccessful. Four teams were granted entries in 2010 that should have pushed the grid to 13 teams and 26 cars for the first time since 1995. One team never made it to the grid and the other three had vanished by 2017. There is only one American team on the current F1 grid — owned by California businessman Gene Haas — but it is not particularly competitive and does not field American drivers. Andretti’s dream was to field a truly American team with American drivers. The fight to add this team has been going on for three-plus years and F1 initially denied the application despite approval from F1 sanctioning body FIA . The existing 10 teams, who have no voice in the matter, also largely opposed expansion because of the dilution in prize money and the billions of dollars they’ve already invested in the series. Andretti in 2020 tried and failed to buy the existing Sauber team. From there, he applied for grid expansion and partnered with GM, the top-selling manufacturer in the United States. The inclusion of GM was championed by the FIA and president Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who said Michael Andretti’s application was the only one of seven applicants to meet all required criteria to expand F1’s current grid. “General Motors is a huge global brand and powerhouse in the OEM world and is working with impressive partners," Ben Sulayem said Monday. "I am fully supportive of the efforts made by the FIA, Formula 1, GM and the team to maintain dialogue and work towards this outcome of an agreement in principle to progress this application." Despite the FIA's acceptance of Andretti and General Motors from the start, F1 wasn't interested in Andretti — but did want GM. At one point, F1 asked GM to find another team to partner with besides Andretti. GM refused and F1 said it would revisit the Andretti application if and when Cadillac had an engine ready to compete. “Formula 1 has maintained a dialogue with General Motors, and its partners at TWG Global, regarding the viability of an entry following the commercial assessment and decision made by Formula 1 in January 2024,” F1 said in a statement. “Over the course of this year, they have achieved operational milestones and made clear their commitment to brand the 11th team GM/Cadillac, and that GM will enter as an engine supplier at a later time. Formula 1 is therefore pleased to move forward with this application process." Yet another major shift in the debate over grid expansion occurred earlier this month with the announced resignation of Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei, who was largely believed to be one of the biggest opponents of the Andretti entry. “With Formula 1’s continued growth plans in the US, we have always believed that welcoming an impressive US brand like GM/Cadillac to the grid and GM as a future power unit supplier could bring additional value and interest to the sport," Maffei said. "We credit the leadership of General Motors and their partners with significant progress in their readiness to enter Formula 1."
