Listed Lorenzo Shipping Corp. (LSC) said that majority owner National Marine Corp. was infusing addi-tional capital of P270 million to help settle existing liabilities and for other general corporate purposes. The company told the stock exchange that its board on Thursday approved the issuance of some 270 million common shares of LSC at its par value of P1.00 per share in favor of National Marine. “The additional capital infusion will be used for the settlement of the existing liabilities of the company and other general corporate purposes,” Lorenzo Shipping said. As of end-September 2024, National Marine held 49.765 percent of the company while its public float stood at 43.869 percent. Following the transaction, public ownership will fall to 21.35 percent of the outstanding capital of the compa-ny, Lorenzo Shipping said. In the first nine months of 2024, the company recorded a net loss of P290.36 million, reversing from the P109.30-million net income booked in the same period last year as revenues dropped by nearly 27 percent to P1.86 billion from P2.54 billion. The revenue drop was attributed to a 26.22-percent year-on-year decline in twenty-foot equivalent units car-ried during the nine months to September. “The decrease was due to fewer voyages attributable to a slowdown in domestic consumption coupled with necessary maintenance and repairs for several vessels,” LSC said in its third quarterly report filed last month. Wesley Hammell, from Medway , became aggressive and abusive towards the woman despite her doing nothing wrong after a drinking session. The 45-year-old, who has a long history of violence and domestic violence convictions, sent the distressing message after his latest girlfriend finished their relationship. It comes after a conviction in September last year for an assault on a woman and at the time, a court heard he drunkenly attacked a girlfriend at Sittingbourne Railway Station who vomited after a drinking session. Instead of looking after her, Hammell, grabbed her around the throat and started shouting at her and then raised his fist “as if to hit her”. The court heard from prosecutor James Mr Nichols who said: “The victim vomited and this angered him and he grabbed her round the neck and then raised his fist as if to hit her. “He has a long history of violence and domestic violence convictions and is a professional boxer.” A district judge heard his latest offence happened when he directed his anger at a woman after being dumped by his most recent girlfriend. Hammell, of Meadow Bank Road, Chatham, was later charged with sending a communication threatening death and pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on September 24. The court heard Hammell sent the Facebook messages on September 19. At the time, Debbie Jones, prosecuting, said: “She started to receive messages, she got four and they were abusive and in it he said, ‘F*** you, I am going to kill you, you little s***. “I am going to kill you. You will lose your life and I will lose my life, I don’t care. I have lost out by them wrong’uns, I am going to kill myself and take you with me’.” Ms Jones also said the woman was petrified by Hammell’s threats and was frightened by the thought he would go to her home and that after she received the messages, she blocked Hammell on the social media forum. She added: “He made admissions (during interview) and he has a previous non-molestation on him against someone else (a previous partner).” District Judge Nelson decided he wanted a pre-sentencing report carried out on Hammell before he was sentenced and he returned to the same court to hear his fate on November 21. During the hearing, prosecutor Lucy Fish, told magistrates the woman was worried she would bump into Hammell when she was out and had put up with his “often drunken abuse” for 10 years before they split. She added: “The woman avoids certain areas when she’s out (in case she sees him) and that she got a more secure front door fitted to her home to feel safer. “She wants a restraining order as she doesn’t want him near her or her home.” Peter Fernando, defending, said his client was now seeking help from Alcoholics Anonymous for his drinking problem and was attending sessions twice a week. Magistrates told him the offence passed the custody threshold, but they were prepared to suspend the term. As a result, they jailed Hammell for 20 weeks but suspended the term for 24 months. They also ordered him to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work and attend 30 rehabilitation sessions which will also involve completing a building better relationships course. He was also ordered to wear an alcohol abstinence tag for nine months and pay a victim surcharge of £154 as well as £85 court cost. Hammell was also made subject to a five-year restraining order which bans him from contacting the woman or going near her home.

The Iran mission is complex in Lioness Season 2 Episode 8 Episode 8 of Lioness Season 2 opens on the Turkey-Iraq-Iran border convergence. Cody is in position in complete camo (yes, Taylor Sheridan is back !), tracking a helicopter that is about to land. Jo, Bobby, Josephina, and Cruz are following up in tanks, with Joe near her physical limits before they even begin. Essentially, they’ve got about two hours to get to an outpost to intercept the enemy. There’s support, but not much – or it’s been damaged in Afghanistan. The enemy is well-trained and well-stocked, almost entirely matching the Lionesses. Iraq’s border is only two miles away, but Joe has already been told damage needs to happen in Iran. The operation officially gets named Sky Hawk. Related: Pablo chooses his side Kaitlyn and Bryon arrive where Kyle is holing up, looking to talk to Pablo. His global bank accounts have all been frozen, including his trusts for the children. Kaitlyn clarifies they’re there to “eliminate the threat to United States national security,” which is technically his brother. What they want is Pablo’s trust to help them, which in turn they would “tirelessly protect.” When Pablo falters, the pair tempt him with “the security he has in Mexico with the freedom he has in the United States.” Pablo is made to call Alvaro, with Kaitlyn and Bryon wanting to meet him the following morning. They promise him $300 million upfront, with more to be arranged. Meanwhile, Edwin calls the Chief of Staff in to be briefed on an unfolding development. Two Chinese nuclear scientists are en route to Isfahan Nuclear Base with either information or supplies, essentially activating Iran’s nuclear abilities. The president has no knowledge of this. When four vehicles leave the enemy outpost, it’s all go. While Sheridan’s character is driving the equivalent of an army dune buggy across open plains, Josephina and Cruz attack the enemy convoy from the air. Their helicopter is hit and is going down. They brace for impact, crashing into the ground. Bobby and the on-ground team are sent to move in, with Cody in a nearby sniper base trying to take out whoever from the convoy was left standing. We cut to an airfield where Kaitlyn and co. are taken to meet Alvaro. Everybody is made to step out of the car before they arrive at his premises, which turns into a gun standoff. Pablo calms things down, with the cars moving in. Bryon sneaks a gun into Pablo’s pocket, who immediately shoots Alvaro in the face, taking down the rest of his henchmen with him. Pablo tells the remaining guys the cartel has a new boss, and that the Chinese hostage belongs to the CIA. Miraculously, the entire team survives In Iran, Cruz emerges from the crash. Josephina is also alive, but she can’t walk. They’re completely exposed to incoming enemy vehicles, with Joe’s team being called back to base. She dismisses the orders, telling Bobby they need to get there first. They are hugely outnumbered, leading to a shootout before they’re able to get to the crash site. There’s only so much Cody can do, and the rest are getting annihilated. Cody advises they fall back, leaving the snipers to cover after disabling the enemy vehicles. In the meantime, they’re hit by a new tank. They survive, but it’s revealed their location to the enemies on the ground. They move on foot while Joe finds the helicopter. While the team regroups, the entire outpost approaches to attack on foot. As Cody tells Joe they need to move, Edwin watches, being advised to call the president. Backup is still five minutes away, with more enemy soldiers turning up. One by one, the team starts to get shot as enemies swarm in. Joe runs out of ammo, with Josephina left screaming in pain. Just when things look at their bleakest, presidential backup arrives, destroying all enemy units in their surroundings. Relevant ambassadors phone the CIA, with Edwin advising to “let them stew.” Nobody has died, but there are some serious life-threatening injuries among the Lionesses. The clean-up operation is overwhelming, and Joe is left in an extremely emotional state. She breaks down in tears, later arriving back home.
