The Buffalo Bills hammered the San Francisco 49ers, 35-10, in a snow-filled rout led by Josh Allen’s 4 TDs. Colin Cowherd explains why he feels like this is the year for the Bills to win the Super Bowl. Just as the San Francisco 49ers confirmed Christian McCaffrey suffered a season-ending PCL injury in the loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night, his backup is also heading to injured reserve. Jordan Mason, who filled in admirably for McCaffrey as he dealt with Achilles tendinitis in both his ankles at the start of the season, will miss at least the next four games due to a high-ankle sprain also suffered in the blowout loss to the Bills . The 49ers have no choice but to turn to rookie Isaac Guerendo to be their lead running back for what could possibly be the rest of the season with just five games remaining. (IMAGN) For McCaffrey, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan noted that his star could "potentially" be out for the remainder of the season. "I think PCL is usually a couple weeks, but I’m not exactly sure yet," Shanahan said prior to learning that it’s six weeks for him to heal with not that many games remaining on the schedule. JOSH ALLEN MAKES NFL HISTORY AS BILLS CLINCH AFC EAST WITH WIN OVER 49ERS IN DRIVING SNOW At 5-7 after losing three straight, the 49ers are grasping at straws hoping they can go on a run to end the year and get back into the playoffs. But they currently sit in last place in the NFC West, though the division-leading Seattle Seahawks are only 7-5. (AP Photo/Adrian Kraus) Considering that a running game is crucial for Shanahan’s offense to work, he will be asking a lot of his rookie running back to carry a workload that San Fran was hoping McCaffrey could do after healing his Achilles injuries. McCaffrey had 53 rushing yards on seven attempts and two catches for 14 yards before leaving the game on his own power. During one of those runs, he slid after feeling something wasn’t right. McCaffrey has played in just four games this season, rushing for 202 yards with no touchdowns on the ground nor through the air. As for Mason, he broke out earlier this season, rushing for more than 100 yards in three of his first four games as the lead back with McCaffrey hurt. He slowed down a bit but has still smashed his career highs with 789 yards and three touchdowns. The Miami Dolphins have found the much-needed offensive spark they were lacking without Tua Tagovailoa under center. The Dolphins’ QB suffered a concussion earlier this season and his NFL career appeared to be in jeopardy, but the former Alabama star has come back and his playing some of the best football of his NFL career. Suddenly the Dolphins have rattled off three-straight wins and are back in contention for a playoff spot in the AFC. And while Mike McDaniel and the Dolphins are known for their explosive brand of football that features a high-powered offense, the defense has been one of the team’s biggest strengths this season. Heading into Week 14, Miami boasts the No. 9 defense in the NFL, giving up just 308 total yards of offense to its opponents per game and allowing 21 touchdowns on the year so far. But if the Dolphins are going to continue to trend upward and become a true threat to de-throne the Bills at the top of the AFC East, they can’t be complacent. That’s why Bleacher Report predicts they will make a move this offseason to bolster an already impressive defensive unit. Alex Ballentine of BR predicts Miami could sign San Francisco 49ers star linebacker Dre Greenlaw this offseason, who is about to make his 2024 debut coming off of an Achilles injury. The Dolphins' decision to sign Jordyn Brooks has worked out well thus far. He's playing well, and the defense is on a hot streak. However, the search to find a linebacker to play beside him has been a little less fruitful. They recently waived David Long and claimed Tyrel Dodson off of waivers, giving them a different look at the position. Dre Greenlaw is reportedly getting closer to making his season debut after tearing his Achilles last season. As long as he can look like he's mostly recovered from that injury by the end of the season, there should be some market for him. The Dolphins should be in the pursuit for him as he hits free agency. Greenlaw is a versatile LB who is set to be a free agent after this season. He’s thrived in big moments, recording 18 tackles and two interceptions during the 2023 playoffs and would be an instant upgrade for the Miami Dolphins.

City are now six games without a victory but appeared to be cruising towards three points before being stunned by the Eredivisie side, who hit them with goals from Anis Hadj Moussa, Santiago Gimenez and David Hancko to fight back from 3-0 down. Two goals from Erling Haaland, one of them a penalty, and one from Ilkay Gundogan had the 2023 European champions three up after 53 minutes as they sought the win that would help to get their ailing season back on track. After the team collapsed in the closing stages, Ake called on his team-mates to show their mettle if their campaign is not to wither away. Speaking to Amazon Prime, he was asked whether he believed the the team’s problem is a mental one. “Maybe it is,” he said. “It is difficult to say. Obviously we have not been in this situation many times but this is where we have to show our character. “When everything seems to go against us and everyone is writing us off, we have to stay strong mentally, believe in ourselves and stick together. “Every season there is a period when they write us off. We have to make sure we stay strong as a team and staff and make sure we get out of it.” The draw leaves City with work to do if they are to secure one of the eight automatic spots in the last 16 of this season’s Champions League. They are currently 15th in the table, two points outside of the top eight, and will need positive results in their next two games against Juventus and Paris St Germain to keep their hopes alive. They then face Club Brugge in their final league match on January 29. The result at least ended a run of five straight defeats in all competitions ahead of Sunday’s Premier League showdown with leaders Liverpool at Anfield. “When you are three goals up it feels like a defeat when you give up three goals at home,” said Ake. “It is tough now, a tough night, but the only thing we can do is look forward to the next one. Liverpool is a big game and it is another challenge to overcome. “(We were) 3-0 up and we played quite well and were under control, but then it all changed. “You just have to stay strong mentally. At 3-1 they then push on but I think we need to go for it a bit earlier so we could keep the pressure on them, but we stayed playing at the back and maybe invited more pressure on us. “Then when you concede the second one there is even more pressure and then we have to stay stronger mentally.”NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESSWIRE / November 26, 2024 / The RENN Fund, Inc. Qatar tribune Tribune News Network Doha Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) -- member of Qatar Foundation (QF) --welcomed 13 tech startups from across the globe as part of the second edition of its Global Innovation Link (GIL) programme. Building on the success of its inaugural edition, which engaged startups from Pakistan, GIL’s latest edition was significantly expanded to include a diverse cohort of entrepreneurs from countries including the US, Poland, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Malaysia and Jordan. The programme demonstrates QSTP’s firm resolve to lay the groundwork for future collaborations in tech research and development by establishing a link between Qatar’s tech ecosystem and international tech ecosystems. The startups represented a wide array of industries and sectors, with a focus on innovation-driven fields such as spacetech, edtech, fintech, tourism tech, gaming, urban planning, manufacturing and engineering. As part of thetwo-week immersive experience, the participating startups gained access to QSTP’s world-class infrastructure and co-working space, the opportunity to interact with key stakeholders in Qatar, and exposure to the country’s thriving tech landscape. They were also given a chance to present their solutions to a diverse audience at QSTP’s AI Week 2024, a premier event that gathered over 3,000 local and global industry leaders, experts and tech enthusiasts. Dr Jack Lau, president of QSTP, said the second edition of GIL builds on QSTP’s strong focus on enabling interactions between local and global innovation ecosystems. “This programme is part of our triangulation process where we facilitate international entrepreneurs to engage with the local tech community as well as stakeholders in the education system. This experience allows them to understand the potential demand for their technologies in Qatar, in addition to providing a fertile ground for cross-border research collaborations and benefit from QF’s diverse talent pool of students, researchers, and academics,” Dr Lau said. Beknazar Abdikamalov, Co-Founder of Hupo, a Singapore-based startup that participated in this edition of GIL, said the program was highly valuable in connecting with key stakeholders in Qatar, especially at a time that his startup is looking to enter the MENA market. “This programme has been a great starting point for us. It revealed the opportunities available in Qatar and the region, allowing us to interact with startups based here as well as the wider ecosystem. We have already managed to find some potential partners and clients and look forward to building on these connections to achieve our growth objectives.” QSTP’s GIL programme is open to teams with a strong STEM background (PhD, patent holders, Master’s +5 years of experience, or a company with $100k+ annual revenue). These teams must be nominated by official state/national bodies. Copy 03/12/2024 10The USS Zumwalt is at a Mississippi shipyard where workers have installed missile tubes that replace twin turrets from a gun system that was never activated because it was too expensive. Once the system is complete, the Zumwalt will provide a platform for conducting fast, precision strikes from greater distances, adding to the usefulness of the warship. “It was a costly blunder. But the Navy could take victory from the jaws of defeat here, and get some utility out of (the ships) by making them into a hypersonic platform,” said Bryan Clark, a defence analyst at the Hudson Institute. The US has had several types of hypersonic weapons in development for the past two decades, but recent tests by both Russia and China have added pressure to the US military to hasten their production. Hypersonic weapons travel beyond Mach 5, five times the speed of sound, with added manoeuvrability making them harder to shoot down. Last year, The Washington Post newspaper reported that among the documents leaked by former Massachusetts Air National Guard member Jack Teixeira was a defence department briefing that confirmed China had recently tested an intermediate-range hypersonic weapon called the DF-27. While the Pentagon had previously acknowledged the weapon’s development, it had not recognised its testing. One of the US programmes in development and planned for the Zumwalt is the Conventional Prompt Strike. It would launch like a ballistic missile and then release a hypersonic glide vehicle that would travel at speeds seven to eight times faster than the speed of sound before hitting the target. The weapon system is being developed jointly by the Navy and Army. Each of the three Zumwalt-class destroyers would be equipped with four missile tubes, each with three of the missiles for a total of 12 hypersonic weapons per ship. In choosing the Zumwalt, the Navy is attempting to add to the usefulness of a 7.5 billion US dollars (£5.9 billion) warship that is considered by critics to be an expensive mistake despite serving as a test platform for multiple innovations. The Zumwalt was envisioned as providing land-attack capability with an advanced gun system with rocket-assisted projectiles to open the way for Marines to charge ashore. But the system featuring 155mm guns hidden in stealthy turrets was cancelled because each of the rocket-assisted projectiles cost up to one million dollars (£790,000). Despite the stain on their reputation, the three Zumwalt-class destroyers: Zumwalt, Michael Monsoor and Lyndon B Johnson; remain the Navy’s most advanced surface warships in terms of new technologies. Those innovations include electric propulsion, an angular shape to minimise radar signature, an unconventional wave-piercing hull, automated fire and damage control and a composite deckhouse that hides radar and other sensors. The US is accelerating development because hypersonics have been identified as vital to US national security with “survivable and lethal capabilities”, said James Weber, principal director for hypersonics in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Critical Technologies. “Fielding new capabilities that are based on hypersonic technologies is a priority for the defence department to sustain and strengthen our integrated deterrence, and to build enduring advantages,” he said.None

An Antioch, California, pastor fought off an allegedly axe-wielding burglar at First Family Church just after midnight Thanksgiving morning. The New York Post noted that the pastor, Nick Neves, has MMA training. NBC News quoted Neves recounting the moment he confronted the alleged burglar: “I shouted at him to stop, and that the police were on their way, and he ran and I grabbed a hold of him and we ended up wrestling in the parking lot of the church.” Neves added, “I like to stay fit, and I studied some jujitsu and kickboxing and I have a mixed martial arts background. So it was very helpful to be able to grapple with this gentleman without having to do much harm to him.” He said he basically wore the alleged burglar down and held him for police. Neves observed that the church gave food to some 130 families in need for Thanksgiving and that the would-be burglar could have gotten food, too, had he come at the proper time in the proper way: “It’s just ironic. If he had come a couple of days earlier, he would have been blessed and get [ sic ] some food and be cared for. But he decided instead to smash windows and desecrate property and do something that’s going to hurt the ministries.” KTVU reported “a long axe and a small push dagger” were recovered by police at the scene. It is believed the alleged burglar used the axe to make entry into the church.
