By contrast, Incremental Policy 2.0 enables policymakers to quickly tweak and refine policies in response to new information, market trends, and technological advancements.Eyewitnesses described the Four-Not-Alike as a strange and elusive creature, unlike anything they had ever seen before. With its mismatched body parts and uncanny ability to blend in with its surroundings, the creature often inspired a mixture of curiosity and fear among those who encountered it. For oil-exporting countries, the surge in oil prices presents both opportunities and challenges. While higher oil revenues can provide a much-needed boost to government coffers and economic growth, they can also lead to currency appreciation and hinder export competitiveness. As such, policymakers in these countries must strike a delicate balance between maximizing oil revenues and mitigating potential adverse effects on their economies. The Shrimpers host Ebbsfleet United at Roots Hall on Boxing Day. And Maher is desperate to send what promises to be another big crowd home happy. “You always get a big crowd in for Boxing Day and I think everyone has been indoors for 24 hours so they want to get out to watch football and their team,” said Maher. “It’s a tradition and it’s one I enjoy. “They’re normally local games as well that families all go to and enjoy their day. “Our job is to make sure they do enjoy it by getting the right result.” Blues, who sit 16th in the standings, will be favourites for the game against their rock bottom opponents. But Maher knows Ebbsfleet will also be fired up for the clash. "They're having a difficult time but anyone coming to Roots Hall knowing there's 7,000 or 8,000 there will be up for it and a lot of teams are," said Maher. "Our job is to deal with that and put on a good performance to get a good result. "Ebbsfleet will be wanting to improve and it's our job to make sure that doesn't happen. "We've got to go and win the game." The Shrimpers will be bidding to bounce back from Saturday's 3-0 defeat at York City. And Maher has made sure the players quickly forgot about the setback. "There's obvious disappointment from Saturday in terms of the result," said Maher. "We review it, go through it and look at what we can do better but you've got to get over it quickly because you have to prepare again and train properly like we've done today" However, Maher also felt there were some positives to take from Saturday's game. "You have to take away the good stuff too," said the Blues boss. "The disappointing thing is the goals we conceded and how quickly they came put the game out of sight. "The positive spin is that for 65 minutes we've gone to a team who full of confidence and been a match in certain areas. "We've been competitive and had our moments which if they go the way you want then the games changes but it didn't and we've got to do better."

NoneDALLAS , Nov. 21, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. AHT ("Ashford Trust" or the "Company") announced today the conversion of its 226-room Le Pavillon Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana to a Tribute Portfolio property. Marriott's Tribute Portfolio is a growing global family of characterful, independent hotels drawn together by their passion for captivating design and their drive to create vibrant social scenes for guests and locals alike. The property recently completed a $19 million renovation which included extensive exterior work, upgrading the restaurant, guestrooms, guest bathrooms, corridors as well as a reimagined hotel lobby bar. The new lobby bar, Bar 1803 , draws inspiration from the rich history of Le Pavillon and New Orleans , honoring the year Emperor Napoleon signed the Louisiana Purchase. Legend has it Napoleon conceived the idea while soaking in a marble bathtub filled with rose water – one of which (perhaps the very one) resides in one of our suites. The bar's design showcases this heritage with a striking image of Napoleon and a lenticular art piece capturing two sides of the French icon: a 'serious' Napoleon and a 'spirited' one. This playful nod reflects New Orleans' French roots and vibrant culture. Inspired by the amber hues of iconic NOLA cocktails, Bar 1803 blends history, elegance, and the unmistakable spirit of New Orleans into an unforgettable experience, paying tribute to the city's enduring legacy and the hotel's storied past. Located in the heart of downtown New Orleans on historic Poydras Street, the 226-room Le Pavillon Hotel is known as the "Belle of New Orleans ." It sits adjacent to the historic French Quarter, is located only four blocks from the celebrated music clubs of Bourbon Street and is close to the famous restaurants and antique shops of Royal Street. Originally the site of one of the area's first great plantation homes, the Le Pavillon Hotel was built in 1907 and is a member of Historic Hotels of America. "We are thrilled to announce the successful conversion of this iconic property to Marriott's Tribute Portfolio ," said Stephen Zsigray , President and Chief Executive Officer of Ashford Trust. Per ESPN Dolphins reporter Marcel Louis-Jacques, Miami declined to activate his window to return form injury, ending any chance of Chubb playing this season. Dolphins LB Bradley Chubb will not be activated by tomorrow's deadline -- he is officially done for the season Chubb suffered a devastating knee injury on Dec. 31, 2023, tearing his ACL, meniscus and patellar tendon. The Dolphins (7-8) have fallen short of preseason expectations. With two games remaining, they're three games short of their over-under win total before the season began (10 wins). Miami must win out and receive help to make the playoffs for a third consecutive season. It will be without one of its top 2023 edge-rushers in its last-ditch effort to qualify for the postseason. Last year, Chubb had 11 sacks in 16 games, his most since posting 12 sacks as a rookie in 2018. The Dolphins acquired Chubb from the Broncos for a 2023 first-round pick — which Denver used in its trade with the Saints for head coach Sean Payton — at the 2022 trade deadline . Chubb has three years remaining on a five-year, $110M extension he signed with the Dolphins after being traded. His 2025 cap hit is $29.3M , a roughly 85% increase from this season ($15.9M). With rookie Chop Robinson's emergence, Chubb could be expendable. Robinson has six sacks, all in his last eight games. As ESPN's Bill Barnwell noted, Robinson has produced "quick pressures at the highest rate of any pass rusher in football." Chop Robinson's generating quick pressures at the highest rate of any pass rusher in football. Not among rookies. Among everyone. He's a star. https://t.co/EBH1Px1R26 However, Louis-Jacques reported Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said the decision to shut Chubb down for the season wasn't "based on anyone but Bradley." Did Chop's play impact Miami's decision with Bradley Chubb? McDaniel: "No decision was made based on anyone but Bradley -- this is his career and I don't take that lightly. He's worked very hard and we made that decision independent of where we're at with the season." https://t.co/OPu9cUwVVV With Miami staring at sizable cap numbers from wide receiver Tyreek Hill ($27.7M) and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa ($39.4M), it might be better suited to using the money earmarked for Chubb on bigger needs. However, Louis-Jacques notes that the Dolphins would only see savings by designating Chubb as a post-June 1 cut. If released before June 1, Miami would save $1.9M while incurring a $27.4M dead cap charge. If he were a post-June 1 cut, the Dolphins would have $9.1M in dead cap in 2025 and $18.3M in 2026 while saving $20.2M in 2025. Miami already has $17.1M in 2025 dead money, including $15.7M to former cornerback Xavien Howard. Adding to that total might not make as much sense as getting a production season from Chubb. For those curious about the ramifications if the Dolphins were to release Bradley Chubb this offseason. PRE 6/1 trade/release 2025 dead cap: $27.4M 2025 savings: $1.9M POST 6/1 trade/release 2025 dead cap: $9.1M 2025 savings: $20.2M 2026 dead cap: $18.3M As Louis-Jacques also noted, a pass-rushing trio that includes Chubb, Robinson and Jaelan Phillips, who suffered a season-ending ACL injury in Week 4, the Dolphins could be formidable. I don't think this is likely to happen, for what it's worth. Chubb, Phillips and now Chop all rank in the top-10 among pass rushers in pressure rate and pass rush win rate since 2022 (obviously smaller body of work for Chop) Exciting trio if you can get them all healthy https://t.co/49AwULvJp1 The Dolphins need Chubb to return healthy and produce like he did in 2023. With their salary cap situation, they have no other option. One of the most high-profile signings is the acquisition of a talented winger from Real Betis, who is known for his blistering pace, dribbling ability, and eye for goal. His arrival is expected to add a dynamic attacking threat to Beijing Guoan's frontline, giving Setien more options in the final third.
Similarly, Chelsea will be eyeing the Club World Cup as an opportunity to enhance their financial stability and strengthen their squad for the challenges ahead. SafeSport Center changes targeted in new bill aimed at sex abuse in sportsFive people were fatally shot in Jamaica, marking the latest mass shooting on the small island. Local media reported that the shooting late Monday occurred in the southeastern parish of St. Andrew, where the capital of Kinston is located. No one has been arrested. It wasn’t immediately clear what led to the shooting. Jamaica has seen a recent increase in mass shootings, including one where five men were killed at a soccer game in late October in a neighborhood that once struggled with gang violence. While Jamaica has one of the world’s highest homicide rates among countries with reliable statistics, 53.3 per 100,000 people, killings are down so far this year compared with last year. As of Nov. 23, 1,039 people were reported killed, down from 1,262 reported last year, according to police statistics. A record 1,683 homicides were reported in 2009 on the island of 2.8 million people. Much of the violence in Jamaica and elsewhere in the Caribbean is blamed on guns illegally smuggled from the United States.
