Common Issues and Troubleshooting for Mobile Signal Boosters 12-02-2024 10:14 PM CET | Industry, Real Estate & Construction Press release from: ABNewswire If you notice that your mobile signal booster [ https://www.lintratek.com/products/ ] is no longer performing as it did before, the issue may be simpler than you think. A decline in signal booster performance can be caused by various factors, but the good news is that most issues are easy to resolve. Image: https://www.lintratek.com/uploads/IMG_3605.jpg Lintratek KW27A Mobile Signal Booster [ https://www.lintratek.com/leading-manufacturer-lintratek-kw27a-dual-5g-mobile-signal-booster-agcmgc-80db-efficient-tri-band-commercial-mobile-signal-repeater-for-officehotelfactory-product/ ] In this article, we'll explore some common reasons why your mobile signal booster might not be working as effectively as before and how to correct them. 1. Question: I can hear the other person, but they can't hear me, or the sound is intermittent. Answer:This suggests that the signal booster's uplink isn't transmitting the signal fully to the base station, possibly due to incorrect installation of the outdoor antenna. Image: https://www.lintratek.com/uploads/outdoor-antenna3.jpg Solution:Try replacing the outdoor antenna with one that has stronger reception capabilities or adjust the antenna's position so that it faces the base station of your carrier. 2. Question:After installing the indoor coverage system, there are still areas where I can't make calls.Answer:This indicates that the number of indoor antennas is insufficient, and the signal is not being fully covered. Image: https://www.lintratek.com/uploads/indoor-ceiling-antenna-300x257.jpg indoor ceiling antenna Solution:Add more indoor antennas in areas with weak signals to achieve optimal coverage. 3. Question:After installation, the signal in all areas is still not ideal.Answer:This suggests that the signal booster's power may be too weak, possibly due to excessive signal loss caused by the building's structure or the indoor area being larger than the booster's effective coverage area.Solution:Consider replacing the booster with a higher-powered mobile signal booster [ https://www.lintratek.com/powerful-repeater/ ]. 4. Question:The phone shows full signal, but I can't make a call.Answer:This issue is likely caused by amplifier self-oscillation. The solution is to ensure that the input and output connections are correct, and that the distance between the indoor and outdoor antennas is more than 10 meters. Ideally, the indoor and outdoor antennas should be separated by a wall. 5. Question:If the above four issues persist after troubleshooting, could it be due to poor quality of the mobile signal booster?Answer:The root cause may be that many low-quality boosters cut corners to save costs, such as omitting automatic level control circuits, which are essential to the booster's functionality.Solution:Switch to a product that includes Automatic Level Control (ALC). Boosters with automatic level control better protect the signal environment. Image: https://www.lintratek.com/uploads/Lintratek-Y20P-Mobile-Signal-Booster-3-300x207.jpg Lintratek Y20P 5G Mobile Signal Booster with ALC [ https://www.lintratek.com/y20p-dual-5g-mobile-signal-repeater-product/ ] If your mobile signal booster isn't performing as effectively as before, keep an eye on these four common issues, and you may be able to resolve the problem. 1. Network ChangesYour local carrier may have made changes to their network infrastructure or frequency bands, which could affect the compatibility and effectiveness of your mobile signal booster. If you're experiencing a decrease in performance, the issue might be related to changes in your local mobile towers or signal quality. Image: https://www.lintratek.com/uploads/band.jpg Contact your carrier to inquire about any recent changes to the network. If the issue persists, you can check the coverage from other carriers in your area to determine if it's time to upgrade your equipment. 2. External ObstaclesAs economies grow and more buildings are constructed, the landscape changes, and obstacles that didn't interfere with the signal before may start to block the signal. Newly built buildings, construction sites, trees, and hills could weaken or block the external signal. Image: https://www.lintratek.com/uploads/House-in-UK.jpg Perhaps more houses have been built around you, or the trees have grown taller. Either way, new obstacles could prevent the outdoor antenna from receiving the signal.Unless you own the surrounding buildings and trees, you can't control them. But if you suspect that increasing obstacles are affecting your signal, changing the antenna's location or raising it higher might help. For example, mounting the antenna on a pole can lift it above obstacles. 3. Antenna PositionProper antenna positioning is critical to achieving optimal performance. Outdoors, check if issues like strong winds have displaced the antenna. Over time, the direction of the antenna may shift, and it may no longer point in the right direction. You also need to ensure that both the outdoor and indoor antennas are positioned according to the manufacturer's guidelines. Is the distance between them adequate? If the outdoor transmitting antenna and the indoor receiving antenna are too close, it can cause feedback (self-oscillation), preventing the mobile signal from being amplified. Image: https://www.lintratek.com/uploads/log-period-antenna.jpg Correct antenna positioning can maximize the booster's efficiency and ensure it provides the best signal enhancement. If your mobile signal booster isn't working properly, the first thing to check is the antenna positioning. 4. Cables and ConnectionsEven small issues with cables and connections can significantly affect the performance of your booster. Check for any damage or wear on the cables, and make sure all connections are secure. Faulty cables, connectors, or loose connections can cause signal loss and reduce the booster's efficiency. Image: https://www.lintratek.com/uploads/4G5G-Fiber-Optic-Repeater-300x300.jpg 5.Interference If your signal booster operates in the same area as other electronic devices, those devices may emit their own frequencies, causing interference. This interference can disrupt the performance of your mobile signal booster, preventing it from working as effectively as before. Image: https://www.lintratek.com/uploads/disturb-300x252.jpg Consider any other devices you've recently brought into your home. How close are they to your booster components? You may need to reposition some devices to ensure they are far enough apart to avoid interference. This concludes the troubleshooting guide from Lintratek. We hope it helps you resolve any issues with poor mobile signal coverage. Media Contact Company Name: Foshan Lintratek Technology Co., Ltd. There was the famous “The Pitch” in 1985 semifinals that sent North Dakota State on its way to a Division II national football championship. On Saturday, the Bison had “The Drive,” taking almost an entire quarter for an apparent game-winning score and a Missouri Valley Football Conference championship all to themselves. ADVERTISEMENT Then came “The Meltdown.” What transpired in the final four minutes at the Fargodome was a hard lesson for the Bison, a 29-28 loss that seemed almost over, but it wasn’t. “No. 1, there should be no one crying in there,” said head coach Tim Polasek, pointing at the locker room. “This isn’t time to cry. It’s time to be really upset and angry and reflect on yourself what you could have done better.” Polasek called USD’s two touchdowns in the last four minutes poor fundamentals, first allowing Jack Martens to get behind the Bison secondary for a 40-yard touchdown reception with 3:22 remaining. That cut NDSU’s lead to 28-23 after a failed two-point conversion. But on the ensuing kickoff, with NDSU having its “hands” team on the field in anticipation of some sort of squib kick, instead the Coyotes booted it deep and NDSU returner RaJa Nelson was forced to track it down. It took the perfect bounce for USD, and Nelson was forced out of bounds at his 2-yard line. “I’ve struggled with that my whole career,” Polasek said. “It’s the 50-50 gamble. I couldn’t really get a pulse, the kid really turned the laces hard, even on normal kickoffs. When they turn it hard, it usually means a squib. We have to handle it better and unfortunately for us it took a helluva bounce.” ADVERTISEMENT He also would have liked to have seen Nelson play a little deeper in that situation. Regardless, the Bison got one first down when quarterback Cam Miller gained three yards on third-and-3 to the 12. But three plays got three yards and NDSU punted. USD took over at its 42-yard line with 1:14 remaining and six plays later the DakotaDome was erupting in a rally party. The Bison have done that rally trick a few times over the years to other teams, but those last four minutes were a rare sight. Almost hard to believe, rare. Receiver Javion Phelps was so wide open on the game-winning 25-yard pass with 12 seconds remaining that it looked like busted coverage. Polasek, when asked if he would have done anything different in the last two minutes, said he would have taken a time out before the last touchdown pass. “The book tells you not to, but just to regroup our defense and make sure our pass rush was ready to go,” he said. Ultimately, it was a collection of big plays that did in the Bison. Trailing 28-17 and facing fourth-and-10, USD quarterback Aidan Bouman hit Phelps for 37 yards to the NDSU 40-yard line. The touchdown to Martens came two plays later. That drive took 48 seconds. ADVERTISEMENT “We beat ourselves, that’s all it is,” said Bison defensive lineman Will Mostaert. “I thought we didn’t play great, we have to play better. We have to be ready for those situations where we have to get stops. Not going to win games if you don’t get stops.” It seemed over when the Bison went on a monstrous 20-play, 99-yard drive that took most of the fourth quarter. It took 10:53 and started on a four-yard run by Marty Brown on the last play of the third quarter. NDSU converted two fourth-and-ones, with Miller picking up the first on a three-yard run at his own 37-yard line. His 16-yard run picked up the other. The drive appeared stalled and Griffin Crosa booted a 30-yard field goal, but USD was called for a personal foul for leaping over the line of scrimmage. Brown bulled in from the 1 and it was 28-17 with 4:10 left. Then Bouman took over. He was on the verge of being sacked on a couple of the big completions but didn’t go down. “He completed the right throws, had some really good balls and we had some breakdowns,” Mostaert said. It was probably a long bus ride back to Fargo for all involved with the team. NDSU still claimed a share of the conference title, although it certainly didn’t feel like it. ADVERTISEMENT “That loss belongs to both sides of the ball,” Polasek said. “We talk a lot about ending games on our terms and we had a chance to do that offensively.”

NEW YORK (AP) — Edmonton Oilers forward Jeff Skinner has been fined $2,000 for embellishment during a recent game against the New York Rangers, the NHL said Monday. Skinner was issued a warning after a diving/embellishment incident in an Oct. 22 game against the Carolina Hurricanes, the league said. His second citation, which triggered the fine, came in the second period of a 6-2 victory over the Rangers on Nov. 23. Skinner was being followed by Rangers defenseman K’Andre Miller as he had the puck along the boards in the New York zone. Skinner lost his footing and the puck despite minimal contact from Miller. The Oilers forward looked toward the referee as he got up but no penalty call was made on the play. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund. Hedge fund manager Scott Bessent is a credible, safe choice for US Treasury secretary -- and one that is likely positive for markets -- observers said Saturday following President-elect Donald Trump's highly anticipated nomination. His selection came after competition for the top economic job spilled into the open last weekend, with the world's richest man Elon Musk throwing his support instead behind Trump's transition team co-chair Howard Lutnick. Lutnick has since been named commerce secretary to lead Trump's tariff and trade agenda, and Bessent's nomination days later appears to be uncontroversial for now. "Scott Bessent is a credible, mainstream pick for Treasury Secretary," said Jason Furman, a professor at Harvard University and former top White House economic adviser. "I could see previous administrations as having chosen him," Furman, a former chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, told AFP. But a key difference is that Bessent, 62, has had to adopt and defend views on topics like tariffs, in a way "he never would have in pursuit of the job for a previous Republican administration." Tariffs are a key part of Trump's economic agenda, with the Republican president-elect vowing sweeping duties on allies and adversaries alike. In an opinion piece published earlier this month on Fox News, Bessent defended the potential use of tariffs as a means to raise revenue for the government, protect strategic US industries and negotiate with trading partners. He would be one of the first openly gay Cabinet officials if confirmed by the Senate, and the first at the helm of the Treasury Department. Jens Nordvig, chief executive of data and analytics firm Exante Data who has worked with Bessent, drew a contrast between his demeanor and that of other Trump supporters. While some Trump allies have a tendency towards "general sweeping statements," Bessent is an "analytical thinker, and he communicates accordingly," Nordvig told AFP. He counts Bessent among his early clients. "I would expect his messaging to be very focused, to get his key points across, without any unnecessary flamboyance or gusto," Nordvig added of the Wall Street veteran. Calling Bessent a "safe choice," Brookings senior fellow in economic studies David Wessel told AFP: "He will be an adult in the room for the Trump administration." Besides Bessent, others seen as top contenders for Treasury chief in recent days included former Federal Reserve governor Kevin Warsh, Apollo Global Management chief executive Marc Rowan, and Tennessee Senator Bill Hagerty. It remains to be seen if Bessent will be a big influence "moderating some of the administration's more aggressive trade policy" or simply be a spokesman, Wessel said. He does not have much experience in dealing with Congress either, and this would be important next year as the Trump administration works to raise the debt ceiling and effort a tax bill to deliver on his economic promises. Bessent would also have to grapple with the country's debt burden, with debt borrowed at much lower interest rates previously and Trump's plans estimated to add trillions over time. In an open letter published Saturday, Nordvig called for "thoughtful leadership" at the Treasury, saying a realistic approach to tax cuts and bond issuance was needed. He also sounded a hopeful note, saying Bessent would work to reduce extreme risks for markets. Krishna Guha, vice chairman of Evercore ISI, believes Bessent's nomination "will be well received by financial markets," given his deep understanding of markets and macro conditions. Guha also warned of the risk of bond yields spiking and "pushing up mortgage rates and tanking the housing market, while also causing stocks to sell off." In his past administration, Trump has viewed the stock market as a gauge of his success. bys/md

Externally, international pressure and support played a significant role in hastening the regime's fall. The imposition of economic sanctions by Western powers and regional allies crippled the regime's ability to function, while diplomatic efforts to isolate the Assad regime on the world stage further eroded its legitimacy. The backing of rebel forces by external actors, including the provision of weapons and training, also tipped the balance in favor of the opposition and hastened the regime's collapse.NASA’s powerful James Webb Space Telescope includes asteroids on its list of objects studied and secrets revealed. A team led by researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge repurposed Webb’s observations of a distant star to reveal a population of small asteroids — smaller than astronomers had ever detected orbiting the Sun in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. The 138 new asteroids range from the size of a bus to the size of a stadium — a size range in the main belt that has not been observable with ground-based telescopes. Knowing how many main belt asteroids are in different size ranges can tell us something about how asteroids have been changed over time by collisions. That process is related to how some of them have escaped the main belt over the solar system’s history, and even how meteorites end up on Earth. “We now understand more about how small objects in the asteroid belt are formed and how many there could be,” said Tom Greene, an astrophysicist at NASA’s Ames Research Center in California’s Silicon Valley and co-author on the paper presenting the results. “Asteroids this size likely formed from collisions between larger ones in the main belt and are likely to drift towards the vicinity of Earth and the Sun.” Insights from this research could inform the work of the Asteroid Threat Assessment Project at Ames. ATAP works across disciplines to support NASA’s Planetary Defense Coordination Office by studying what would happen in the case of an Earth impact and modeling the associated risks. “It’s exciting that Webb’s capabilities can be used to glean insights into asteroids,” said Jessie Dotson, an astrophysicist at Ames and member of ATAP. “Understanding the sizes, numbers, and evolutionary history of smaller main belt asteroids provides important background about the near-Earth asteroids we study for planetary defense.” The team that made the asteroid detections, led by research scientist Artem Burdanov and professor of planetary science Julien de Wit, both of MIT, developed a method to analyze existing Webb images for the presence of asteroids that may have been inadvertently “caught on film” as they passed in front of the telescope. Using the new image processing technique, they studied more than 10,000 images of the star TRAPPIST-1 , originally taken to search for atmospheres around planets orbiting the star, in the search for life beyond Earth. Asteroids shine more brightly in infrared light, the wavelength Webb is tuned to detect, than in visible light, helping reveal the population of main belt asteroids that had gone unnoticed until now. NASA will also take advantage of that infrared glow with an upcoming mission, the Near-Earth Object (NEO) Surveyor . NEO Surveyor is the first space telescope specifically designed to hunt for near-Earth asteroids and comets that may be potential hazards to Earth. The paper presenting this research, “ Detections of decameter main-belt asteroids with JWST ,” was published Dec. 9 in Nature. The James Webb Space Telescope is the world’s premier space science observatory. Webb is solving mysteries in our solar system, looking beyond to distant worlds around other stars, and probing the mysterious structures and origins of our universe and our place in it. Webb is an international program led by NASA with its partners, ESA (European Space Agency) and CSA (Canadian Space Agency). Every Black Friday, there’s a number of viral products that everyone has on their Christmas wish list, and we don’t expect this year to be any different. However, not all of these popular items are going to stay in stock, and we have some insight on the ones that won’t. Black Friday is big business, and last year shoppers spent $222.1 billion during the entire holiday shopping season, according to Queue-it. Sales on Black Friday reached $16.4 billion (online and in stores), and this was a 9% increase from the year before. While it comes as no surprise that electronics are the most sought-after products of the holiday season, Queue-it said this accounts for the majority of holiday sales, jumping to $50.8 billion in 2023. Apparel, furniture, groceries and toys are the other hot sellers of Black Friday. Together, these five categories accounted for 65% of sales during the holidays last year and is only expected to grow in 2024. While many items that sell out over Black Friday are driven by a good deal, we also know that a hot product is just that — a gift that most people want to open on Christmas Day. So, here are our picks for the top 10 hot-ticket items that could sell out over Black Friday. Samsung 98-inch QLED TV The holidays are ripe for TV deals, and we expect shoppers to buy a ton of them in 2024, especially at Walmart. Consumers are trending toward bigger TVs and the super low-price deals over Black Friday force many models to sell out. This is especially true of popular models from Samsung, Hisense, LG and more favorites. Apple Watch Series 9 Apple's smartwatches are a top pick among Apple fans. We’ve seen prices on the Apple Watch continue to trend downward, which was only spurred by the release of the new Apple Watch 10 in September. This pushed down prices on earlier models, with the best deals coming on the Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch 9. For Black Friday, we think the prices will drop even lower and sell out due to high demand. Beats Solo3 Wireless headphones are one of the most popular products of 2024, and Beats are one of the top brands. We’re already seeing big markdowns on Beats Wireless Headphones, and we expect these price drops to continue into Black Friday. The Beats Solo3 is likely to be on sale for even cheaper than we’ve already seen, and we think they will sell out for Black Friday, with the possibility of other popular Beats headphones joining them. Apple AirPods (3rd gen) If you haven’t picked up a pair of Apple AirPods yet, this could be your year to do it. With Apple launching a fourth generation of AirPods earlier this year, the price on prevvious models are creeping lower. We think over Black Friday they’ll be at their cheapest price ever, with the AirPods (3rd Gen) likely to sell out. JBL Flip 6 Bluetooth speakers are a must-have for many this year, and with the big sound that comes from JBL’s speakers, it’s easy to see why they might sell out for Black Friday. These popular speakers come in a variety of portable sizes and waterproof designs. We expect big deals on JBL’s top-rated Clip 5 and Flip 6 Bluetooth speaker models. Apple iPad (10th Gen) One of Apple’s most sought-after products of the year was the iPad, and we saw the 9th Gen and 10th Gen models drop to their lowest prices ever. We think this year will bring some iPad bliss with even better discounts, but these deals will disappear just as fast as they arrive. We think that mega discounts on the iPad (9th Gen) and iPad (10th Gen) could cause sell outs, especially on Amazon. Dyson Airwrap The Dyson Airwrap just might be the top product of Black Friday, as this is one of the rare times there’s a discount on the beloved hair styling tool. At $600, the Airwrap carries a hefty price tag, so any discount presented is a welcome surprise. But as we’ve seen in the past, any Black Friday deal on the Dyson Airwrap causes a crush of interest that’s followed by a sell out. Ugg Tasman slippers If you’ve tried to scoop up the UGG Tasman Slippers in previous years, you already know they never stay in stock for long. As the “it” slipper of the holiday season, UGG’s Tasman sells out multiple times over the holidays, even without a discount offered. We think that this year will be similar, with popular sizes and colors of the Tasman Slipper snatched up fast over Black Friday. Bissell Little Green The Bissell Little Green carpet cleaner is a popular home product that just can’t seem to stay in stock. With prices falling under $90, this mighty machine can be a blessing for pet owners and parents, as its compact size makes it easy to store and use when needed. We’ve seen the Little Green Machine sell out before, and we’d be surprised if it didn’t do it again over Black Friday. Furby Galaxy Edition We’d be remiss if we didn’t include a top toy that we think will be hard to find and gift this year. Our pick is the Furby Galaxy Edition. This glow-in-the-dark Furby is based on the original Furby from the late ’90s with even more features, interactive modes and more fun. Making a comeback in 2023, we saw the revival of this popular toy sell out last year, and we expect the new Furby Galaxy Edition to do the same. Elway said Nix, the sixth passer selected in April’s draft, is an ideal fit in Denver with coach Sean Payton navigating his transition to the pros and Vance Joseph’s defense serving as a pressure release valve for the former Oregon QB. “We’ve seen the progression of Bo in continuing to get better and better each week and Sean giving him more each week and trusting him more and more to where last week we saw his best game of the year,” Elway said in a nod to Nix’s first game with 300 yards and four touchdown throws in a rout of Atlanta. For that performance, Nix earned his second straight NFL Rookie of the Week honor along with the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award. “I think the sky’s the limit,” Elway said, “and that’s just going to continue to get better and better.” In a wide-ranging interview with The Associated Press, Elway also touted former coach Mike Shanahan’s Hall of Fame credentials, spoke about the future of University of Colorado star and Heisman favorite Travis Hunter and discussed his ongoing bout with a chronic hand condition. Elway spent the last half of his decade as the Broncos’ GM in a futile search for a worthy successor to Peyton Manning, a pursuit that continued as he transitioned into a two-year consultant role that ended after the 2022 season. “You have all these young quarterbacks and you look at the ones that make it and the ones that don’t and it’s so important to have the right system and a coach that really knows how to tutelage quarterbacks, and Sean’s really good at that,” Elway said. “I think the combination of Bo’s maturity, having started 61 games in college, his athletic ability and his knowledge of the game has been such a tremendous help for him,’” Elway added. “But also Vance Joseph’s done a heck of a job on the defensive side to where all that pressure’s not being put on Bo and the offense to score all the time.” Payton and his staff have methodically expanded Nix’s repertoire and incorporated his speed into their blueprints. Elway lauded them for “what they’re doing offensively and how they’re breaking Bo into the NFL because it’s a huge jump and I think patience is something that goes a long way in the NFL when it comes down to quarterbacks.” Elway said he hopes to sit down with Nix at some point when things slow down for the rookie. Nix, whose six wins are one more than Elway had as a rookie, said he looks forward to meeting the man who won two Super Bowls during his Hall of Fame playing career and another from the front office. “He’s a legend not only here for this organization, but for the entire NFL,” Nix said, adding, “most guys, they would love to have a chat with John Elway, just pick his brain. It’s just awesome that I’m even in that situation.” Hall of Fame Orange Crush linebacker Randy Gradishar joined Elway in the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year, something Elway called “way, way overdue.” Elway suggested it’s also long past time for the Hall to honor Shanahan, who won back-to-back Super Bowls in Denver with Elway at QB and whose footprint you see every weekend in the NFL because of his expansive coaching tree. Sanders & Hunter Elway called University of Colorado stars Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders “both great athletes.” He said he really hopes Sanders gets drafted by a team that will bring him along like the Broncos have done with Nix, and he sees Hunter being able to play both ways in the pros — but not full time. Elway said he thinks Hunter will be primarily a corner in the NFL but with significant contributions on offense: “He’s great at both. He’s got great instincts, and that’s what you need at corner.” Hand condition It’s been five years since Elway announced he was dealing with Dupuytren’s contracture, a chronic condition that typically appears after age 40 and causes one or more fingers to permanently bend toward the palm. Elway’s ring fingers on both hands were originally affected and he said now the middle finger on his right hand is starting to pull forward. So, he’ll get another injection of a drug called Xiaflex, which is the only FDA-approved non-surgical treatment, one that he’s endorsing in an awareness campaign for the chronic condition that affects 17 million Americans. The condition can make it difficult to do everyday tasks such as shaking hands or picking up a coffee mug. Elway said what bothered him most was “I couldn’t pick up a football and I could not imagine not being able to put my hand around a football.” Subscribe to stay connected to Tucson.
