Today's Connections answer — hints to help you solve it Unlike our guide to today's Wordle answer , where we recommend the best Wordle start words as your strategy, solving Connections relies on identifying connecting categories among 16 words. Each category's difficulty level is represented by a color; yellow is the easiest grouping, and purple is the most challenging. Once you've made 4 mistakes in your guesses, the answers will be revealed, so hints can be helpful. Today's Connections words are: Ray, Factor, Lighter, Stain, Microscope, Games, Consideration, Magnifying Glass, Reflection, Matches, Slide, Thought, Flint, Files, Scrutiny, and Specimen. Today's Connections answers So, what are today's Connections answers for game #547? Drumroll, please... Kicking off things with the easiest category always means things just get harder from here, but it didn't take much, er, scrutiny to realize the word was tied to Consideration, Reflection, and Thought. Next came the green category with Flint, Lighter, Magnifying Glass, and Matches, which wasn't too difficult to suss out if you've ever been camping. Or, in my case, if you've seen enough horror movies about folks getting lost in the woods to recognize everything you need to start a fire (and to only do so at your own risk, because that is how the monsters find them like 90% of the time, after all). I struck out a few times trying to dig through half-remembered lessons from high school biology class and connect Microscope and Slide with some other clues. But that science-y line did make me think of x-rays, which led to noticing that Factor, Files, Games, and Ray all took on a new meaning when preceded by the letter X. That left only blue, and my instincts were proven correct that it was indeed biology 101 thingamajigs. I got Microscope, Slide, and Specimen, it was just Stain I was missing. Yesterday's Connections answers Reading this in a later time zone? Here are the Connections answers for game #546, which had a difficulty rating of 3 out of 5, according to the Connections Companion . Greyhound stuck out to me immediately, and with no other dog-related words I figured the category had something to do with the line of buses. With that in mind, Puma and Dove stood out as other company names, and once I remembered the CAT on those big yellow construction machines stood for Caterpillar, that rounded out the blue category. Next came the yellow category with a right hook and plenty of punchy words like Belt, Blow, Slug, and Sock. After that, I was left scratching my head over what Mettle and Seoul had to do with anything, but Sandwich, Squeeze, and Wedge are close enough synonyms that Shoehorn finally stood out to me, especially with Sock out of the occasion, and rounded out the green category. That left purple as the rote fill with Indy, Mettle, Seoul, and Wrap. I never seem to pick up on the homophone clue or ones where words or letters are missing, and this puzzle was no different. The General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has strongly condemned the alleged violent actions carried out by supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) at various constituency collation centers during the 2024 general elections. In an update to Ghanaians on Sunday, December 8, Kodua expressed the party’s concern over what he described as attempts by the NDC to manipulate the parliamentary election results in certain constituencies. He called on state authorities, particularly the Ghana Police Service, to take immediate action to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process. Kodua highlighted several constituencies, including Domongo, Kpandai, Ablekuma North, Techiman North, Aowin, Obuasi East, Nsawam Adoagyiri, and Weija Gbawe, where violent incidents allegedly occurred. According to the NPP, data from these areas indicated that the NDC had lost the parliamentary seats to the NPP. However, NDC supporters, unwilling to accept the results, are reportedly trying to coerce Electoral Commission (EC) officials into altering the outcomes. “The NPP has, with great concern, taken notice of the violent conduct of NDC thugs at some of the constituency collation centres. These attacks are deeply troubling and undermine the democratic process. We vehemently condemn these actions and serve notice that we shall resist every attempt to tamper with the results of the parliamentary elections in these constituencies,” Kodua stated. He called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Ghana Police Service to be vigilant and act swiftly to maintain law and order, stressing that the rights and safety of all citizens must be protected. He also warned against allowing intimidation and illegal activities to disrupt the electoral process. “I urge the IGP and the Ghana Police Service to ensure that law and order prevail in these constituencies. The rights and safety of all citizens must be safeguarded. We must not allow illegal looting and intimidation of our citizens,” Kodua emphasized. The NPP General Secretary also urged the leadership of the NDC to take responsibility for their supporters’ actions, calling on them to condemn the acts of violence at the collation centers. The Dallas Cowboys ruled out right guard Zack Martin and cornerback Trevon Diggs with injuries on Saturday, one day prior to a road game against the Washington Commanders. Martin has been dealing with ankle and shoulder injuries and didn't practice at all this week before initially being listed as doubtful to play on Friday. He also physically struggled during Monday night's loss to the Houston Texans. Martin, who turned 34 on Wednesday, has started all 162 games played in 11 seasons with the Cowboys. He's a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and a seven-time first-team All-Pro. Diggs has been dealing with groin and knee injuries. He was listed as questionable on Friday before being downgraded Saturday. Diggs, 26, has 37 tackles and two interceptions in 10 games this season. The two-time Pro Bowl pick led the NFL with 11 picks in 2021 and has 20 in 57 games. The Cowboys elected not to activate receiver Brandin Cooks (knee) for the game. He returned to practice earlier this week and he was listed as questionable on Friday. Dallas activated offensive tackle Chuma Edoga (toe) and defensive end Marshawn Kneeland (knee) off injured reserve Saturday, placed safety Markquese Bell (shoulder) on IR and released defensive end KJ Henry. Tight end Jake Ferguson (concussion) was previously ruled out. Tight end Princeton Fant was elevated from the practice squad to replace him. Cornerback Kemon Hall also was elevated from the practice squad. --Field Level Media

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Saturday he had an “excellent conversation” with Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago club after the president-elect's threat to impose significant tariffs on two of America’s leading trade partners raised alarms in Ottawa and Mexico City . It was unclear, as Trudeau headed back to Canada from Florida, whether the conversation had alleviated Trump’s concerns. A person familiar with the details of the leaders' hastily arranged meeting Friday night said it was a “positive wide-ranging dinner that lasted three hours.” The official, who was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity, said topics included trade, border security, fentanyl, defense, Ukraine, NATO, China, the Mideast and pipelines, as well as the the Group of Seven meeting in Canada next year. The Republican president-elect has threatened to impose tariffs on products from Canada and Mexico if the countries don’t stop what he called the flow of drugs and migrants across their borders. He said he would impose a 25% tax on all products entering the U.S. from Canada and Mexico as one of his first executive orders when he takes office in January. As he was leaving his West Palm Beach hotel, Trudeau stopped briefly to answer a reporter’s question about the dinner meeting, saying it was "an excellent conversation." Trump’s transition team did not respond to questions about what the leaders had discussed. Trump, during his first term as president, once called Trudeau “weak” and “dishonest,” but it was the prime minister who was the first G7 leader to visit Trump since the Nov. 5 election. "Tariffs are a crucial issue for Canada and a bold move was in order. Perhaps it was a risk, but a risk worth taking,” Daniel Béland, a political science professor at McGill University in Montreal. Among those at the dinner were Howard Lutnick, Trump's pick for commerce secretary; North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, in line to lead the Interior Department; and Mike Waltz, Trump's choice to be his national security adviser. Accompanying Trudeau were Canada's public safety minister, Dominic LeBlanc, whose responsibilities include border security, and Katie Telford, Trudeau's chief of staff. Trudeau had said earlier Friday that he would resolve the tariffs issue by talking to Trump. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said a day earlier after speaking with Trump that she is confident a tariff war with the United States will be averted. Trudeau said Trump got elected because he promised to bring down the cost of groceries but now he's talking about adding 25% to the cost of all kinds of products including potatoes from Prince Edward Island in Atlantic Canada. “It is important to understand that Donald Trump, when he makes statements like that, he plans on carrying them out. There’s no question about it,” Trudeau said before his leaving for Florida. “Our responsibility is to point out that he would not just be harming Canadians, who work so well with the United States, but he would actually be raising prices for Americans citizens as well and hurting American industry and business,” he added. To Nelson Wiseman, professor emeritus at the University of Toronto, Trump "doesn’t need convincing that new tariffs on Canadian products would not be in U.S. interests. He knows that, but cannot say it because it would detract from what he has said publicly. His goal is to project the image that he gets action when he talks.” Those tariffs could essentially blow up the North American trade pact that Trump’s team negotiated during his first term. Trudeau noted they were able to successfully renegotiate the deal, which he calls a “win win” for both countries. Trump made the tariff threat Monday while citing an influx of migrants entering the country illegally, even though the numbers at the Canadian border pale in comparison to those at the U.S.-Mexico border. Trump also spoke about fentanyl from Mexico and Canada, even though seizures from the Canadian border are few in comparison to the Mexican border. Canadian officials say lumping Canada in with Mexico is unfair but say they are ready to make new investments in border security. When Trump imposed higher tariffs during his first term in office, other countries responded with retaliatory tariffs of their own. Canada, for instance, announced billions of new duties in 2018 against the U.S. in a response to new taxes on Canadian steel and aluminum. Canada is the top export destination for 36 U.S. states. Nearly $3.6 billion Canadian (US $2.7 billion) worth of goods and services cross the border each day. ___ Gillies reported from Toronto.Rangers have turned a corner and there are three players who have made it happen( MENAFN - Live Mint) In a delightful sighting on the California coast in the US, a pod of nearly 5,000 dolphins were captured swimming next to each other in what has been dubbed a“dolphin stampede”. This enchanting sight captivated visitors, animal lovers, and marine enthusiasts who witnessed the mammals take over the ocean at Dana Point in Southern California . But the mesmerising moment was captured on camera for those who couldn't experience it first-hand, sparking waves of admiration across social media. The viral video capturing the majestic mammals giving the onlookers the show of their lives as they leapt out of the water is being widely shared on social media, and netizens in awe have poured in love for the“Beauty of Freedom.” Netizens left awestruck by the video poured in comments full of heart emojis for it. While some shared how jealous they were of those who witnessed it first-hand, others wondered if the dolphin stampede had something to do with a potential danger. “How amazing to have seen that in person. I'm jealous. It's beautiful,” a user said. “They are amazing creatures,” said user another user. “I was fortunate enough to witness this while we were whale watching it was so awesome,” shared a user. “Wow! So beautiful” a user said. “We've seen these a few times. Their joy is palpable!” added a user. “Was this because they know danger is coming?” one user questioned. In 2019, Dana Point, where the viral video was filmed, was crowned the dolphin and whale watching capital of the world, according to Capt Dave's Dolphin & Whale Watching Safari. Dolphin stampedes typically occur when hundreds − and sometimes thousands − of dolphins leap in and out of the water in one direction, according to the tour agency's website. “We are uncertain as to why these animals may so randomly do this, but it is no doubt a once in a lifetime opportunity to encounter such an escapade” it added. California Attorney General Rob Bonta and Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan have proposed a new bill, AB 56 , that would require social media companies to put a warning label on their platforms to disclose their mental health risks. Citing social media platforms’ “harnessing of addictive features and harmful content for the sake of profits,” Attorney General Bonta says that consumers should have access to information about platforms that could impact their mental health. The current bill lacks detail on how much information these warning labels should have or how they should appear, but mentions the Cyberbullying Protection Act and the Online Violence Prevention Act as possible precedent for such a requirement. Those bills required social media platforms to disclose their cyberbullying reporting features in the terms of service, and clearly state whether they have a way of reporting violent posts for users and nonusers on the platform, respectively. Bonta and Bauer-Kahan’s new bill follows an open letter signed by 42 attorneys general (Bonta included) that called for Congress to require a surgeon general’s warning label on social media. The US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy proposed the idea himself in an essay for The New York Times Opinion section in June. A surgeon general’s warning label requires congressional action to actually be put in place, but could prove effective in changing behavior in the same way it has for tobacco products , according to Murthy. You can trace a lot of the recent commotion around children and social media to an advisory on Social Media and Youth Mental Health that the US Surgeon General published in 2023. The advisory claimed that social media could “have a profound risk of harm to the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents” and that “children and adolescents who spend more than three hours a day on social media face double the risk of mental health problems.” A warning label is unlikely to completely fix things and social media isn’t the sole cause of all children’s problems, but labels are another level that can be pulled to change things. A wider reaching Texas bill that required social media companies block teens from seeing “harmful content” was struck down a few months ago in 2024, but requiring social media warning labels, especially given California’s legal history , seems much more feasible. Mental health impacts are just one of the risks children face online, though. According to the Federal Trade Commission , there’s still mass surveillance to deal with, too.Canada Post quarterly loss tops $300M as strike hits second week — and rivals step in MONTREAL — Canada Post saw hundreds of millions of dollars drain out of its coffers last quarter, due largely to its dwindling share of the parcels market — while an ongoing strike continues to batter its bottom line. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Spencer Colby Listen to this article 00:01:14 MONTREAL — Canada Post saw hundreds of millions of dollars drain out of its coffers last quarter, due largely to its dwindling share of the parcels market — while an ongoing strike continues to batter its bottom line. The Crown corporation said Friday it lost $315 million before tax in the third quarter, larger than its $290 million loss a year earlier. "An increasingly crowded and highly competitive e-commerce delivery market continued to impact parcels results in the third quarter of 2024," Canada Post said. The number of packages dropped by six million or nearly 10 per cent year-over-year. Letter mail volumes also eroded further, though revenue nudged up due to a hike in stamp prices, it said. The financial results put Canada Post on track for "another significant loss" in 2024, which would mark the seventh year in a row in the red. They also come as Canada Post deals with an ongoing shutdown of its operations after more than 55,000 workers across the country walked off the job on Nov. 15. The two sides have been wrangling over wages and contract work as well as job security, benefits and working conditions. Amid the sudden halt of deliveries — government benefit cheques are among the few exceptions — business has increased at other shipping outfits. "We have record numbers of shippers within the last week. Our volumes — we’re just trying to keep up," said Kevin Ham, CEO of e-commerce shipping platform Chit Chats. "Everybody’s at full capacity." Purolator, which is majority-owned by Canada Post, said this week its volumes rose by double digits due to the job action. Meanwhile, FedEx has implemented a "contingency plan" to manage higher volumes, the company said earlier this week. Profit margins for shippers may be widening too, at least temporarily. Montreal-based pantyhose maker Sheertex said that alternative carriers, overloaded with orders, have implemented "significant surge pricing" on shipments. Small businesses especially have felt the squeeze of the strike, as store owners and entrepreneurs frantically search for workarounds to get orders to customers quickly and affordably. "It’s a hard time of year for both sellers — like e-commerce sellers — as well as consumers. The consumers are ordering, and if it was in the Canada Post network, their shipments are stuck," said Ham, who added that Chit Chats handles deliveries for some 12,000 online shippers each month ranging from boutique sock makers to jewelry designers. Even big corporations face hurdles. "Customers shipping to PO boxes and more rural areas may see delays," said Walmart Canada spokeswoman Stephanie Fusco in an email. However, she said most consumers making online purchases directly from the company — rather than from third-party sellers on its site — would see "minimal impact." The last postal work stoppage took place starting in late October 2018, when employees carried out rotating strikes lasting 31 days. That strike as well as one in 2011 ended when the federal government passed legislation sending employees back to work. Canada Post has reported more than $3 billion in losses since 2018, as Canadians sent fewer letters while competitors gobbled up even more of the parcel market. Households received seven letters a week on average in 2006, but only two per week last year, according to Canada Post’s latest annual report, which dubbed the trend "the Great Mail Decline." Both the union and the Crown corporation have pushed expanded parcel deliveries as a way to boost revenue, but they differ on how to go about it. The union says full-time employees should deliver package shipments on weekends at overtime wage rates, while Canada Post hopes to hire contract workers. According to last year's annual report, the postal service’s share of the parcel market eroded from 62 per cent before the COVID-19 pandemic to 29 per cent last year, as Amazon and other competitors seized on skyrocketing demand for next-day doorstep deliveries. — With files from Tara Deschamps in Toronto This report by The Canadian Press was first published Nov. 22, 2024. WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — It wasn’t how Duke drew up the final play, but it worked out perfect for the Blue Devils in Saturday’s 23-17 victory over Wake Forest. Maalik Murphy threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Moore as time expired, allowing Duke to end the regular season with three consecutive victories. Murphy said he realized he took too long to make a decision after the last snap. “I knew at that point I had to make a play,” he said. “The damage was already done, time was ticking.” With the score tied at 17, the Blue Devils (9-3, 5-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) moved 76 yards in 1:22 after forcing a Wake Forest punt. It appeared that Duke might run out of time in the slow-developing play, but Moore improvised and broke free along the right side, caught the ball at the 10-yard line and spun into the end zone to complete a comeback from 14 points down in the second half. “The play that Maalik and Jordan put together was magical,” Duke coach Manny Diaz said. “Nobody thought a 5-yard route would turn into a (long) touchdown.” So instead of a long field-goal attempt, Duke had something better. “I just decided to take it down the field,” Moore said. “I think that’s a testament to our chemistry. ... Maalik had the confidence in himself to make that kind of play.” It resulted in Duke’s sixth victory by seven points or less. “It’s like a perfect exclamation point to our season,” Diaz said. “An unbelievable way to finish our season.” Murphy racked up with 235 yards on 26-for-34 passing. Moore, who was down with an injury after a reception earlier in the second half, made five catches for 98 yards. Hank Bachmeier threw for 207 yards and a touchdown as Wake Forest (4-8, 2-6) ended its second straight four-win season with a four-game losing streak. “A heartbreaking loss,” Demon Deacons coach Dave Clawson said. “It’s a tough way to lose a game and a tough way to end the season.” Tate Carey’s 8-yard run, Matthew Dennis’ 37-yard field goal and Horatio Fields’ 9-yard reception across 11 minutes of game time gave Wake Forest a 17-3 lead with nine minutes left in the third quarter. Duke took advantage of a short field following a punt, moving 42 yards in four plays to score on Star Thomas’ 3-yard run. The Blue Devils recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff and converted on Murphy’s 2-yard run with 12:57 left to pull even. “What has been proven is that we’re mentally tough,” Diaz said. “We’re not going to do everything perfect.” Taylor Morin became Wake Forest’s all-time leader in receiving yards with 2,974. He picked up 47 yards on eight catches on Saturday. Morin, in his fifth season, passed former NFL player Ricky Proehl, who had 2,929 yards in the late 1980s. Duke: The Blue Devils have secured at least a nine-win season for the second time in three seasons, this one coming in Diaz’s first season. They racked up a 4-0 record against in-state opponents, including comebacks to top North Carolina and Wake Forest. “Every quest that we have for championships starts in our own state,” Diaz said. Wake Forest: The Demon Deacons punted on their final three possessions of the season. They finished with a 1-6 record in home games. “It’s been a tough year, a long year, and I’m proud of our team and how hard they fought,” Clawson said. AP college football: https://apnews.com/hub/ap-top-25-college-football-poll and https://apnews.com/hub/college-footballWASHINGTON (AP) — For years, Pat Verhaeghe didn’t think highly of Donald Trump as a leader. Then Verhaeghe began seeing more of Trump’s campaign speeches online and his appearances at sporting events. There was even the former president’s pairing with Bryson DeChambeau as part of the pro golfer’s YouTube channel series to shoot an under-50 round of golf while engaging in chitchat with his partner. “I regret saying this, but a while ago I thought he was an idiot and that he wouldn’t be a good president,” said the 18-year-old first-time voter. “I think he’s a great guy now.” Verhaeghe isn't alone among his friends in suburban Detroit or young men across America. Although much of the electorate shifted right to varying degrees in 2024, young men were one of the groups that swung sharply toward Trump. More than half of men under 30 supported Trump, according to AP VoteCast , a survey of more than 120,000 voters, while Democrat Joe Biden had won a similar share of this group four years earlier. White men under 30 were solidly in Trump’s camp this year — about 6 in 10 voted for Trump — while young Latino men were split between the two candidates. Most Black men under 30 supported Democrat Kamala Harris, but about one-third were behind Trump. Young Latino men’s views of the Democratic Party were much more negative than in 2020, while young Black men’s views of the party didn’t really move. About 6 in 10 Latino men under 30 had a somewhat or very favorable view of the Democrats in 2020, which fell to about 4 in 10 this year. On the other hand, about two-thirds of young Black men had a favorable view of the Democrats this year, which was almost identical to how they saw the party four years ago. “Young Hispanic men, and really young men in general, they want to feel valued," said Rafael Struve, deputy communications director for Bienvenido, a conservative group that focused on reaching young Hispanic voters for Republicans this year. “They're looking for someone who fights for them, who sees their potential and not just their struggles.” Struve cited the attempted assassination of Trump during a July rally in Pennsylvania as one of the catalyzing moments for Trump’s image among many young men. Trump, Struve said, was also able to reach young men more effectively by focusing on nontraditional platforms like podcasts and digital media outlets. “Getting to hear from Trump directly, I think, really made all the difference," Struve said of the former president's appearances on digital media platforms and media catering to Latino communities, like town halls and business roundtables Trump attended in Las Vegas and Miami. Not only did Trump spend three hours on Joe Rogan's chart-topping podcast, but he took up DeChambeau's “Break 50” challenge for the golfer's more than 1.6 million YouTube subscribers. Trump already had an edge among young white men four years ago, although he widened the gap this year. About half of white men under 30 supported Trump in 2020, and slightly less than half supported Biden. Trump's gains among young Latino and Black men were bigger. His support among both groups increased by about 20 percentage points, according to AP VoteCast — and their feelings toward Trump got warmer, too. It wasn’t just Trump. The share of young men who identified as Republicans in 2024 rose as well, mostly aligning with support for Trump across all three groups. “What is most alarming to me is that the election is clear that America has shifted right by a lot,” said William He, founder of Dream For America, a liberal group that works to turn out young voters and supported Harris’ presidential bid. With his bombastic demeanor and a policy agenda centered on a more macho understanding of culture , Trump framed much of his campaign as a pitch to men who felt scorned by the country’s economy, culture and political system. Young women also slightly swung toward the former president, though not to the degree of their male counterparts. It's unclear how many men simply did not vote this year. But there's no doubt the last four years brought changes in youth culture and how political campaigns set out to reach younger voters. Democrat Kamala Harris' campaign rolled out policy agendas tailored to Black and Latino men, and the campaign enlisted a range of leaders in Black and Hispanic communities to make the case for the vice president. Her campaign began with a flurry of enthusiasm from many young voters, epitomized in memes and the campaign's embrace of pop culture trends like the pop star Charli XCX's “brat” aesthetic . Democrats hoped to channel that energy into their youth voter mobilization efforts. “I think most young voters just didn’t hear the message,” said Santiago Mayer, executive director of Voters of Tomorrow, a liberal group that engages younger voters. Mayer said the Harris campaign’s pitch to the country was “largely convoluted” and centered on economic messaging that he said wasn’t easily conveyed to younger voters who were not already coming to political media. “And I think that the policies themselves were also very narrow and targeted when what we really needed was a simple, bold economic vision,” said Mayer. Trump also embraced pop culture by appearing at UFC fights, football games and appearing alongside comedians, music stars and social media influencers. His strategists believed that the former president’s ability to grab attention and make his remarks go viral did more for the campaign than paid advertisements or traditional media appearances. Trump's campaign also heavily cultivated networks of online conservative platforms and personalities supportive of him while also engaging a broader universe of podcasts, streaming sites, digital media channels and meme pages open to hearing him. “The right has been wildly successful in infiltrating youth political culture online and on campus in the last couple of years, thus radicalizing young people towards extremism,” said He, who cited conservative activist groups like Turning Point USA as having an outsize impact in online discourse. “And Democrats have been running campaigns in a very old fashioned way. The battleground these days is cultural and increasingly on the internet.” Republicans may lose their broad support if they don't deliver on improving Americans' lives, Struve cautioned. Young men, especially, may drift from the party in a post-Trump era if the party loses the president-elect's authenticity and bravado. Bienvenido, for one group, will double down in the coming years to solidify and accelerate the voting pattern shifts seen this year, Struve said. “We don’t want this to be a one and done thing,” he said. Associated Press writer Joey Cappelletti in Lansing, Michigan, and AP polling editor Amelia Thomson-DeVeaux contributed to this report.
Tile shop holdings sees $496k in stock purchases by investorsITV viewers have spoken out in defence of two celebrities on I'm A Celeb after claims a recent challenge was 'fixed' against them. WAG Coleen Rooney and radio DJ Melvin Odoom were partnered together against two other celebrity couples on I'm A Celebrity. Tulisa and Barry McGuigan teamed up as the blue team, with GK Barry and Oti Mabuse in orange facing Coleen and Melvin on the pink team. Remaining housemates were also divided up amongst the three teams, and watched the Bushtucker Trial from a clearing. During the trial viewers at home noticed something which appeared to be unfair, as Coleen and Melvin had the odds stacked against them. As each pair had to reach up to collect tokens as insects and things were dropped on them, Melvin and Coleen who are shorter struggled to reach. One viewer wrote on X: " #ImACeleb well dodgy, the cage above Colleen and Melvin was covered in guts that didn’t fall through the holes while the others were bare and easy to get coins across ." Another shared: " gutted for Coleen and Melvin. height was not on their side ". " That trial was not fair on Coleen and Melvin! They are much shorter than other teams. So not fair ," said a third. The challenge came after fans thought they had spotted Coleen's true feelings about one celebrity camp mate when the teams were announced. Coleen joined forces with Loose Women star Jane Moore and radio DJ Dean McCullough , with Coleen appearing to be annoyed at being on a team with Dean. Before the challenge, Coleen had already predicted the teams would be divided as she predicted: "I think we might be put into teams, so team Alan, team Danny and team Dean ." Coleen appeared to be less than impressed that she was forced to be alongside Wagatha Christie superfan Dean, and viewers were quick to spot it. One viewer wrote on social media: "Coleen is fuming to be on deans team." Another joked: "Coleen fuming she's on deans team lollll."
