BEECH GROVE, Ind. (WISH) — A new roundabout in the southeastern Marion County city of Beech Grove has officially opened to traffic. The city’s new $1.5 million roundabout serves Churchman, Perkins, and East Southern avenues. Officials say it is designed to improve traffic flow without completely re-aligning the streets. The Beech Grove city government says the roundabout was the first phase in transitioning from traffic signals to roundabouts by 2027 on Churchman Avenue, the city’s main street.Bonus, Demerger, Dividend Alert: ITC demerger, KPI Green free share issue in focus
Tom Brady's mythical career as an NFL quarterback has been great for New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans, but the supporters of teams on the opposite side of seven-time Super Bowl success are relishing in his transition to the broadcast booth, which has been full of hiccups. During the pregame coverage of the Minnesota Vikings matchup against the Green Bay Packers, Brady struggled to recall the teams that Green Bay lost to this season , causing an awkward moment on live TV and another roasting session online. Brady' s mistake occurred while standing alongside his broadcasting partner Kevin Burkhardt, as they broke down the stakes of the NFC North game at U.S. Bank Stadium. Brady began by confidently summarizing the Packers season, noting their four losses and the importance of the game ahead. "It's [the NFC North matchup] a big road challenge. They've got four losses, Green Bay does. Two of them to the Lions . They're a good team. The Eagles , they lost to them, they're a good team," Brady said. The trouble started when Brady attempted to identify the Packers' fourth loss. Tom Brady has made Shedeur Sanders feelings loud and clear as FOX job causes complication Tom Brady shows off NFL sixth sense before Pat Freiermuth touchdown for Steelers "And they lost to the, uh, what’d they lose to the other one? Anyway, they've got a big opportunity today to go on the road and really a litmus test for what they’re going to face in two weeks. Can't wait to watch," he finished. But the unease in his voice was all of the ammo that the internet needed to critique Fox's lead NFL analyst, who signed a 10-year, $375 million deal to land the job. Green Bay's other loss came against the Vikings in Week 4, which was a glaring omission for someone tasked with previewing the matchup. Social media wasted no time calling out Brady's mistake, and the criticisms ranged from hilarious to brutal. One fan simply wrote, "Please make Greg Olsen the #1 guy again ." Others laughed at Brady finally appearing human after such a successful NFL career. "As a Dolphins fan and someone who grew up with him owning my existence in the NFL, it gives me just a bit of solace to know he is not perfect or good at everything," a user on X wrote. "Tom Brady was a legendary football player. Certainly the best of his generation. Niceties out of the way, he is a truly AWFUL announcer, and he should quit before he completely destroys his legacy," another fan said. Even Burkhardt didn't escape the crossfire with another adding, "This is honestly as much on Kevin Burkhardt as it is on Tom Brady. Burkhardt should have instantly remembered that too." Brady's transition to broadcasting has been scrutinized several times this season , but he's also had several moments that have wowed fans with his knowledge of the game. He was complimented for his IQ during a spot-on touchdown call during the Steelers-Eagles game in Week 15 and praised during his in-studio appearance with his Fox colleagues. I’ve always been fascinated by how modern skincare products are designed to address specific concerns while seamlessly fitting into our busy lives. From anti-aging serums to hydrating moisturizers, these innovations aren’t just about beauty—they’re about enhancing overall skin health. What’s even more impressive is how these products combine cutting-edge technology with natural ingredients, making them both effective and gentle. According to Harvard Health , maintaining a good skincare routine can protect your skin from environmental damage and delay signs of aging. It’s clear that modern skincare isn’t just a luxury—it’s an essential part of self-care in today’s world. Modern skincare products are designed to address diverse skin concerns with precision. They combine science-backed formulations and effective delivery systems to improve skin quality and appearance. Advanced products, like anti-aging serums, target specific issues such as wrinkles and fine lines, promoting a youthful complexion. Active ingredients are central to their effectiveness. For example, retinol accelerates cell turnover, while hyaluronic acid boosts hydration. These ingredients are often combined with antioxidants, which protect the skin from environmental stressors like pollution and UV exposure. Customization is another hallmark of modern skincare. Products cater to different skin types, including oily, dry, and sensitive skin. This allows users to create tailored routines for optimal results. For instance, lightweight serums work well for oily skin, while richer creams suit dry skin. Incorporating natural and synthetic compounds enhances safety and efficacy. Many brands focus on non-toxic formulations, reducing irritation risks. Clinical test results and dermatologist endorsements further assure product reliability. Technology also plays a role in enhancing convenience. Timed-release serums ensure gradual absorption, while multifunctional products, like sunscreen-infused moisturizers, simplify routines. With these advancements, modern skincare integrates seamlessly into fast-paced lifestyles, meeting both treatment and maintenance needs. Modern skincare products rely on potent, science-backed ingredients to address specific concerns effectively. These components enhance hydration, renewal, and radiance. Hyaluronic Acid And Skin Hydration Hyaluronic acid retains moisture, a crucial factor for maintaining hydrated, plump skin. It binds water to the skin, holding up to 1,000 times its weight. Commonly found in moisturizers and anti aging serums , it smooths fine lines and improves elasticity. People with dry or dehydrated skin benefit significantly from its use. Its lightweight texture makes it suitable for all skin types. Products featuring multi-molecular hyaluronic acid achieve hydration across different skin layers, optimizing results. Retinoids For Skin Renewal Retinoids, derived from vitamin A, accelerate cell turnover, which helps renew the skin’s surface. They reduce fine lines, improve texture, and minimize hyperpigmentation. Anti aging serums often include retinoids for their skin-rejuvenating properties. Their ability to boost collagen production makes them essential in addressing premature aging signs. When used regularly, retinoids brighten skin tone and improve acne-prone skin. Nighttime application reduces UV-related sensitivity, enhancing their efficacy. Vitamin C And Brightening Effects Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant, neutralizes free radicals, protecting the skin from environmental stressors. It lightens dark spots and evens skin tone, creating a brighter complexion. Frequently included in anti aging serums, it supports collagen production, reducing wrinkles over time. Its ability to improve overall radiance makes it a staple in brightening-focused skincare. Stable forms like magnesium ascorbyl phosphate enhance absorption and skin compatibility for visible results. Skincare routines ensure the skin stays healthy and supports long-term goals like hydration, rejuvenation, and protection. Effective routines cater to daily needs, using targeted formulations for both day and night. Morning Skincare Routine A morning routine prepares the skin to face environmental exposure, such as UV rays and pollutants. I start with a gentle cleanser to remove overnight impurities, followed by a hydrating toner to balance the skin. Next, I apply an antioxidant-rich serum like vitamin C to brighten the skin and combat free radicals. A lightweight anti aging serum can be added to delay the appearance of fine lines. I then use a moisturizer to lock in hydration and finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) to protect against UV damage. This routine focuses on protection and prevention, setting a solid foundation for youthful, healthy-looking skin throughout the day. Nighttime Skincare Routine Nighttime routines aim to repair and restore the skin while it regenerates during sleep. I start by thoroughly cleansing the skin to remove makeup, dirt, and pollutants. Exfoliation, done twice a week, removes dead skin cells and promotes a smoother texture. For treatment, I apply a retinol-based anti aging serum, which supports cell turnover and addresses wrinkles and uneven tone. I follow this with a nourishing moisturizer or a night cream packed with ceramides to strengthen the skin barrier. This regimen focuses on deeper treatment and hydration, ensuring the skin feels rejuvenated and refreshed by morning. Modern skincare plays a significant role in enhancing daily life by promoting both physical and emotional well-being. It transcends vanity, contributing to overall wellness through targeted benefits. Boosting Confidence Through Healthy Skin Healthy skin fosters self-confidence. Clear, hydrated, and radiant skin creates a positive self-image, making individuals more comfortable in their appearance. When using products like an anti-aging serum, which diminish fine lines and wrinkles, skin improves noticeably over time. This gives individuals a sense of accomplishment and reassurance about their skincare routine’s effectiveness. Skincare encourages self-care habits, reinforcing feelings of self-worth and empowerment. Combining consistent routines with scientifically advanced products ensures long-lasting skin health, ultimately boosting confidence. Addressing Specific Skin Concerns Skincare treats targeted concerns efficiently. Issues like acne, dryness, and pigmentation require customized solutions tailored to individual needs. Dermatologist-developed products featuring active ingredients like retinol or hyaluronic acid address these concerns effectively. For instance, an anti-aging serum smoothens wrinkles, while products with niacinamide reduce redness and inflammation. Science-backed formulations deliver visible improvements, helping regain control over skin health. By addressing specific concerns, skincare becomes not just a routine but a pathway to holistic wellness. Selecting skincare products tailored to your needs ensures optimal results. Considering factors like skin type, specific concerns, and ingredient efficacy is crucial. Identifying Your Skin Type Understanding your skin type is key to choosing effective skincare products. Skin types typically fall into one of five categories: normal, oily, dry, combination, or sensitive. Normal skin maintains a balanced texture without excessive dryness or oiliness. Oily skin produces excess sebum, often leading to acne and enlarged pores. Dry skin exhibits flakiness, tightness, and a lack of moisture. Combination skin shows both oily and dry areas, commonly with an oily T-zone and dry cheeks. Sensitive skin is prone to redness, irritation, or reactions to specific products. Using the wrong products can disrupt skin balance. For example, oily skin benefits from lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizers, while dry skin thrives with deeply hydrating formulations like those containing hyaluronic acid. Identifying your type allows you to target specific concerns effectively, such as incorporating an anti-aging serum for rejuvenation without overstimulating the skin. Avoiding Common Mistakes Avoiding misuse of products helps prevent irritation or inefficacy. Overuse of active ingredients like retinol can compromise the skin barrier, causing dryness or peeling. To prevent this, start with lower concentrations and gradually adjust. Skipping sunscreen after using actives like vitamin C or exfoliants can lead to sun sensitivity and damage. Layering incompatible products is another common issue. For instance, combining a glycolic acid exfoliant with retinol may cause irritation in sensitive individuals. Always patch-test new products and introduce one at a time. Additionally, aim to match ingredients to your concerns; for example, use an anti-aging serum with peptides for firmness or antioxidants to combat environmental stressors. Proper application and a focused routine enhance results while minimizing negative effects.
Tottenham set to retain long-serving star atleast until 2025/26The Atlantic Liberal caucus is calling on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to resign as party leader in a letter expressing “deep concern” about the future of government. The letter dated Dec. 23 was shared publicly Sunday by New Brunswick MP Wayne Long, who has been saying since the fall that Trudeau should step down. Long wrote in a Facebook post that he shared the letter for “openness and transparency.” “If we are to have any chance in the next election, and prevent a Pierre Poilievre government, we need new leadership with a new vision for our party and the country,” Long wrote. Atlantic caucus chair and Nova Scotia MP Kody Blois penned the letter, saying it is no longer “tenable” for Trudeau to continue to lead the party. The letter notes that the country faces “instability” amid U.S. president-elect Donald Trump’s tariff threats and signals from opposition parties that they will declare non-confidence in Trudeau’s government at the first opportunity. The letter thanks Trudeau for his nine years of service as prime minister, saying he leaves a “positive and consequential legacy.” It cautions Trudeau that could be undone if he stays on as leader. The letter comes less than two weeks after Chrystia Freeland’s resignation from Trudeau’s cabinet as finance minister and deputy prime minister. “Our colleagues this morning expressed their deep personal affection for you, their pride in our work as a Liberal team, but also their deep concern that without a leadership change that progress will be lost under a Pierre Poilievre-led government,” Blois wrote to Trudeau. The letter concludes with a call for a national caucus meeting in early January so the Liberal MPs can discuss their next steps. Blois did not respond immediately to a request for comment. Trudeau is said to be thinking about his future during the holiday break. Conservative MP John Williamson said Friday he plans to introduce a non-confidence motion at the next public accounts committee meeting on Jan. 7. If that motion is successful at committee, it would be forwarded to the House of Commons and could be voted on as soon as Jan. 30, triggering an election if it passes. The Conservatives brought forward three non-confidence motions during the fall sitting of the House of Commons, which the Liberals survived thanks to support from the NDP. However, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh now says that his party has lost confidence in the government and intends to bring forward a non-confidence motion in the new year, regardless of who is Liberal leader.
Replacing Storied Huey Helicopters as Part of U.S. Air Force Fleet Modernization Milestones for Boeing and 30-Year-Old Armor Firm TYSONS CORNER, Va. , Nov. 25, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing's recent delivery of the first MH-139A Grey Wolf production aircraft to the U.S. Air Force is a milestone for both Boeing and Integris Composites, Inc . In 2018, Boeing was selected as the prime contractor with Leonardo as an original equipment manufacturer to develop the MH-139A aircraft that will provide improved capabilities and greater flexibility than the UH-1N Huey. This icon of military aviation since the Vietnam War is used by the Air Force to protect America's intercontinental missile bases. On Aug. 5, 2024 , Boeing announced delivery of the first production vehicle fitted with armor from Integris. For Integris Composites, this delivery marks the realization of a strategic goal established in 2015 — to be a credentialed Tier One supplier to aerospace manufacturers. "This event signifies the culmination of a nine-year journey," said Andrew Bonham , president of Integris Composites, Inc. "Our European business was previously established as a global aerospace supplier. In 2015, our U.S. management team set the goal of attaining Tier One supplier status with OEM aviation companies and U.S. Department of Defense decision-makers. By 2017, we achieved AS9100 certification, a vital credential for aerospace companies, ensuring compliance with stringent quality and safety standards," Bonham explained. "Then in 2018, Boeing awarded us a contract to develop and engineer the MH-139A armor system. Development, design, and qualification work with Boeing, and Research, Development, Test and Evaluation aircraft with the Air Force followed. Now, thanks to a follow-on contract with Boeing, we are manufacturing the armor kits for the production aircraft," explained David Cordova , chief commercial officer. Integris Composites, Inc. has become a credentialed Tier One supplier to aerospace original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and prime defense contractors. "Besides Boeing, we have contracts with Bell Flight , Airbus, Velocity Systems, QinetiQ, Battelle Memorial Institute, Mack Defense, American Rheinmetall Vehicles, and the Air Force Institute of Technology ," said Cordova. "Achieving Tier One aerospace supplier status enhances our already strong business and solidifies our reputation as a trusted provider of ballistic armor systems for vehicles, aviation, and personnel. These systems offer critical protection for personnel operating in hostile environments such as warfighters, tactical security personnel and elite law enforcement units," Cordova continued. "Integris Composites produces the most advanced strength-to-weight-ratio in armor for military organizations throughout the world," Cordova continued. Last year Integris Composites became the new name for TenCate Advanced Armour, a global company founded in Europe 30 years ago. How to Watch Top 25 Women’s College Basketball Games – Thursday, November 28
It’s the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, which means you’re either laying the groundwork for how best to avoid awkward conversations tomorrow or prepping your Black Friday shopping list. Or both. My advice for blocking out those cringe-worthy chats is to bury your face in the sweet potatoes and never look up. My advice for shopping for gadgets on Black Friday is a little more helpful. Here are my tips for how to shop for tech products this year, whether you’re prowling the aisles of your favorite store or perusing an app from your couch. Video games, game consoles, and game accessories are an easy score on any Black Friday. You’ll find deals on consoles including Sony’s ( SONY ) PlayStation 5, Microsoft’s ( MSFT ) X Box Series X, and Nintendo’s ( NTDOY ) Switch, not to mention a solid amount off on controllers, which are mighty pricey when not on sale. I’m hoping my wife opts for a new PlayStation 5 controller at $20 off , since ours are always dying. Discounted gaming gift cards are also a great option for Black Friday shopping. Sony , Microsoft , Nintendo , Valve’s Steam , Roblox , and others offer gift cards for in-game purchases or to pay for a few months of access to their respective online services. Whether you’re looking for over-the-ear headphones or in-ear earbuds, you can score some exceptional deals during Black Friday. Be on the lookout for Apple’s ( AAPL ) AirPods and AirPods Pro if you’re an Apple fan, or check out the various offerings from Beats , JBL , Bose , and Sony that will be on sale at different retailers. It’s important to remember that some people are exceedingly particular when it comes to their earbuds. Some prefer those with silicon tips and others can’t stand them. You should also take into account whether you want active noise cancellation (ANC) or not. ANC, as its name implies, actively cancels out background noise while you're listening to music, podcasts, shows, whatever you’re into. You’ll usually only find ANC on more expensive headphones and earbuds. So, if you can find a pair with the technology at a good price, like the Bose QuietComfort for $199 at Amazon , go for it. In the market for a laptop this Black Friday? You’re in luck. Amazon , Walmart , Best Buy , and others are offering up sales on everything from Apple’s MacBooks to ASUS gaming rigs and Microsoft’s Surface laptop . Not every laptop you see on sale is worth buying, though. My advice is to look for a laptop with at least 16GB of RAM. That’s more or less the norm for modern laptops, but lower-cost models often only provide 8GB, which can translate to slower overall performance. Generally, when you’re shopping for a laptop, or desktop for that matter, you want to purchase the most expensive model you can comfortably afford. That’s because pricer models tend to have the latest and greatest chips and more RAM and storage, which means they’ll last longer than more modestly priced computers. TVs are some of the most sought-after Black Friday items. But don’t just settle for the first TV you see at a suspiciously low price. When it comes to TVs, your best bet is to get an OLED model , thanks to their brilliant colors and inky blacks. Unfortunately, OLED TVs are pretty expensive, with most coming in at $1,000 or more. QLED TVs are a great alternative , though you’re not going to get the same kind of color performance as an OLED set. If there’s one thing to remember when buying a TV, though, it’s that you get what you pay for. In other words, if you opt for a $400, 55-inch model, don’t expect it to provide the best picture quality. But if you’re looking for the kind of TV that turns your friends green with envy, like LG’s C3 , expect to splash out $1,300. If you’re looking for smartphone and tablet deals on Black Friday, you’re in for a mixed bag. In the market for a new iPhone? Then you’ll generally need to search for trade-in options or sign up for a new mobile plan. Android phones like Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra, however, are on sale at places like Best Buy . Tablets, on the other hand, are great buys during Black Friday, whether they’re from Apple , Samsung , or Amazon . You can often find slates for hundreds of dollars off with a quick online search. Amazon, Roku ( ROKU ), and Google ( GOOG , GOOGL ) tend to go all out when it comes to Black Friday sales on their smart speakers and streaming boxes, and this year is no different. Amazon’s Echo Show 8 is $70 off at Best Buy, Roku’s Streaming Stick is $20 off at Amazon, and Google’s Nest Audio speaker is $50 off on the Google Store site. I’ve been holding off on buying a new Roku for my bedroom until Black Friday specifically because the sales are too good to pass up. Email Daniel Howley at dhowley@yahoofinance.com. Scottish Government briefs have spent the past two days claiming a person can be a woman even if they were born male. 3 First Minister John Swinney has said he doesn't believe a man can get pregnant Credit: Andrew Barr 3 Ruth Crawford KC is claiming that those who have a gender recognition certificate should have the same legal protections as biological women Ruth Crawford KC - acting for SNP ministers - told the Supreme Court that people who obtain a gender recognition certificate (GRC) are entitled to the same protections under law as biological women. In a 40-page statement to the court, Nats ministers also insist references to a woman who is pregnant in the Equality Act would also apply to a ‘pregnant man’ who was born female. Ms Crawford was responding to a legal challenge brought by a Scottish women’s rights group over whether trans women can be regarded as female under the terms of the 2010 Equality Act. She was pressed by the judges on how she squared her position with issues affecting the bodies of females, such as pregnancy - the so-called “pregnant man” issue - or cervical screenings. But First Minister Mr Swinney today also appeared to contradict his government’s lawyers on the issue - saying he did not believe a man could get pregnant. Asked whether he did believe that, the SNP leader said: “No, I don’t.” And pressed on why his lawyers were arguing exactly that, Mr Swinney said: “I think there are many complex arguments being put forward in the Supreme Court judgement and I don’t think they come down to the simplicity of the question you’ve put to me.” Most read in The Scottish Sun BUS BEAST Kilmarnock fan famous for foul-mouthed post-match rants exposed as paedophile THREAT CONCERN Glasgow councillor APOLOGISES for Gers fans comment in shock pub row SICKO CAGED ScotRail worker caught in vigilante paedo sting at train station jailed CASH VOW Nurse cancels £30k Scots fairytale wedding after 'rose-tinted glasses come off' Speaking today, feminist KC Joanna Cherry - a former SNP MP - said: “I am pleased that John recognises this biological reality but I’m presently sitting in the UK Supreme Court watching his Government’s lawyers argue the opposite.” It is the latest evidence heard in a long-running legal challenge by feminist rights groups including For Women Scotland. Moment Scottish Tory leader Russell Finlay pours pint before necking it in Glasgow Lawyers acting on behalf of For Women Scotland set out their arguments in the two-day hearing on Tuesday, urging judges to recognise the “facts of biological reality”. They added: “Our position is your sex, whether you are a man or a woman or a girl or a boy, is determined from conception in utero, even before one’s birth, by one’s body. It is an expression of one’s bodily reality. It is an immutable biological state.” But Scots Gov lawyer Ms Crawford told the Court today: “We submit there are only two sexes or genders, and a person whose sex becomes that of a man or woman in consequence of a GRC belongs to that sex, and will have the protection afforded under the Equality Act.” She countered claims that a gender certificate was a “legal fiction” or of merely symbolic value. She described it as a “fundamental right” similar to adoption, telling the court a gender recognition certificate affected an individual’s relationship with the state, and with private organisations such as employers. A GRC is an official document available to those over 18 who can prove they have been living in their chosen gender for at least two years. A verdict in the hearing before Lord Reed, Lord Hodge, Lord Lloyd-Jones, Lady Rose and Lady Simler is not expected until a later date. 3 SNP ministers insist references to a woman who is pregnant in the Equality Act would also apply to a ‘pregnant man’ who was born female Credit: Andrew Barr
