Uruguayans went to the polls Sunday in a crucial presidential runoff, with conservative and progressive forces battling for the nation's top seat. The election, characterized by stark voter indecision, follows neither candidate securing a majority in the initial round. Incumbent party candidate Álvaro Delgado and Broad Front's Yamandú Orsi are neck and neck, polling institutes reveal, with nearly 10% of voters yet to make up their minds. Despite lackluster campaigns, the race addresses significant issues like crime rates and economic strategy in a country known for political stability. Delgado seeks to extend current President Lacalle Pou's conservative governance, while Orsi channels former President José Mujica's legacy, focusing on social reforms and stability. Both candidates offer mutual cooperation, setting a tone of unity post-election. (OTCMKTS:TKYMF) Decreases By 20.0%KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Taylor Swift once raved about the sweet potato casserole served at a New York City restaurant and now that recipe pops up every now and again at Thanksgiving. The holidays encourage many of us to try new recipes. Social media right now is flooded with recipes for appetizers, side dishes and desserts. Anyone making that cornbread casserole from TikTok? While we might not get to share a Thanksgiving feast with Swift — is your name Blake Lively? — or other celebrities beloved by Kansas City, we can eat like them. So here’s the recipe for that casserole Swift loved so much, and favorite family side dish recipes from Donna Kelce and Eric Stonestreet. Enjoy. If we tried to guess how many holiday dinner rolls Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, have scarfed over the years, would it be in the hundreds? Thousands? Their mom has spoken often about the batches of holiday crescent rolls she has baked over the years. Based on the recipe that won the 1969 Pillsbury Bake-Off, Pillsbury’s Magic Marshmallow Crescent Puffs , they’re now known as Mama Kelce’s Dinner Rolls. They blend the crescent roll pastry with marshmallows, cinnamon and sugar. Dinner roll or dessert? We bet they didn’t last long enough in front of Travis and Jason for that debate. Ingredients Rolls •1/4 cup granulated sugar •2 tablespoons Pillsbury Best all-purpose flour •1 teaspoon ground cinnamon •2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count) •16 large marshmallows •1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted Glaze •1/2 cup powdered sugar •1/2 teaspoon vanilla •2-3 teaspoons milk •1/4 cup chopped nuts Directions Make the rolls 1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray 16 medium muffin cups with nonstick baking spray. 2. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar, flour and cinnamon. 3. Separate the dough into 16 triangles. For each roll, dip 1 marshmallow into melted butter; roll in the sugar mixture. Place marshmallow on the shortest side of a triangle. Roll up, starting at shortest side and rolling to opposite point. Completely cover the marshmallow with the dough; firmly pinch edges to seal. Dip 1 end in remaining butter; place butter side down in muffin cup. 4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. 5. When done, remove from the oven and let the puffs cool in the pan for 1 minute. Remove rolls from muffin cups; place on cooling racks set over waxed paper. Make the glaze and assemble In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, vanilla and enough milk for desired drizzling consistency. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls. Sprinkle with nuts. Serve warm. (Tammy Ljungblad/Kansas City Star/TNS) Tammy Ljungblad/Kansas City Star/TNS Swift gushed about the sweet potato casserole served at Del Frisco’s Grille in New York City, a dish crowned with a crunchy candied pecan and oatmeal crumble. “I’ve never enjoyed anything with the word casserole in it ever before, but it’s basically sweet potatoes with this brown sugary crust,” she told InStyle. ”Oh my God, it’s amazing.” The media rushed to find the recipe, which Parade has published this Thanksgiving season . “Similar to T. Swift herself, we think this recipe is a mastermind, especially if you’ve been asked to bring the sweet potato side dish to this year’s Thanksgiving feast. It seriously begs the question: who needs pumpkin pie?” the magazine writes. Ingredients •4 lbs sweet potatoes •1⁄3 cup oats •12 oz unsalted butter, divided •1⁄2 cup packed brown sugar •1⁄2 cup toasted pecans •1⁄2 cup granulated sugar •1 tsp kosher salt •2 tsp vanilla extract •4 large eggs, beaten Directions Preheat oven to 375°F. 1. Musk causes uproar by backing German far-right party ahead of key electionsFury as Labour splash £250,000 of taxpayer cash to hear people’s views on the NHSAfter Trump's win, Black women are rethinking their role as America's reliable political organizers

Germany is to vote in an early election on February 23 after Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s three-party governing coalition collapsed last month in a dispute over how to revitalise the country’s stagnant economy. Mr Musk’s guest opinion piece for Welt am Sonntag – a sister publication of Politico owned by the Axel Springer Group – published in German over the weekend, was the second time this month that he has supported the Alternative for Germany, or AfD. “The Alternative for Germany (AfD) is the last spark of hope for this country,” he wrote in his translated commentary. He went on to say that the far-right party “can lead the country into a future where economic prosperity, cultural integrity and technological innovation are not just wishes, but reality”. The Tesla Motors chief executive also wrote that his investment in Germany gives him the right to comment on the country’s condition. The AfD is polling strongly, but its candidate for the top job, Alice Weidel, has no realistic chance of becoming chancellor because other parties refuse to work with the far-right party. Billionaire Mr Musk, an ally of US President-elect Donald Trump, challenged in his opinion piece the party’s public image. “The portrayal of the AfD as right-wing extremist is clearly false, considering that Alice Weidel, the party’s leader, has a same-sex partner from Sri Lanka! Does that sound like Hitler to you? Please!” Mr Musk’s commentary has led to a debate in German media over the boundaries of free speech, with the paper’s own opinion editor announcing her resignation, pointedly on Mr Musk’s social media platform, X. Eva Marie Kogel wrote: “I always enjoyed leading the opinion section of WELT and WAMS. Today an article by Elon Musk appeared in Welt am Sonntag. I handed in my resignation yesterday after it went to print.” A critical article by the future editor-in-chief of the Welt group, Jan Philipp Burgard, accompanied Mr Musk’s opinion piece. “Musk’s diagnosis is correct, but his therapeutic approach, that only the AfD can save Germany, is fatally wrong,” he wrote. Responding to a request for comment from the German Press Agency, dpa, the current editor-in-chief of the Welt group, Ulf Poschardt, and Mr Burgard – who is due to take over on January 1 – said in a joint statement that the discussion over Mr Musk’s piece was “very insightful. Democracy and journalism thrive on freedom of expression.” “This will continue to determine the compass of the ‘world’ in the future. We will develop ‘Die Welt’ even more decisively as a forum for such debates,” they wrote to dpa.Fred Harris, Former US Senator From Oklahoma and Presidential Hopeful, Dies at 94Habs rook posts rare debut shutout vs. Cup champ

South Africa punched their ticket to their first-ever final of the World Test Championship, scheduled to be played in June at the Lord's Cricket Ground. SA chased down a tricky target of 148 on the fourth day of the Boxing Day Test match against Pakistan. Kagiso Rabada played an important role in the chase and remained unbeaten on 31 off 26 balls. SA lost their 8th wicket for 99 and the onus was on all-rounder Marco Jansen and senior player, Rabada to finish the job. Rabada, who is a frontline pacer, stepped up with the bat and scored quickly. He put the pressure back on the Pakistan bowlers and played freely. Kagiso Rabada creates history with bat Kagiso Rabada created history with the bat as he remained unbeaten on 31 off 26 balls. He broke a 108-year-old record and became the SA batsman with the highest score at number 10 position or below in successful chases. He broke Percy Sherwall's record, who scored an unbeaten 22 against England in Johannesburg in 1906. After more than 100 years, Rabada emulated Sherwall's heroics and won the game for SA. Aiden Markram and Temba Bavuma's contributions in chase Aiden Markram continued to hold one end as SA lost 3 early wickets in the chase. Tony de Zorzi managed to score 2 while Ryan Rickelton (0) and Tristan Stubbs (1) failed with the bat. Markram and Temba Bavuma (40) added crucial 43 runs for the fourth wicket with the opening batsman departing for 37. SA once again lost the plot after Bavuma's wicket but Rabada and Jansen did the job with the bat. Corbin Bosch made a memorable Test debut and took a four-fer in Pakistan's first innings. He remained unbeaten on 81 as SA scored 301 in their first innings. SA, who will aim to clinch the series 2-0, will host Pakistan in the 2nd Test at Newlands in Cape Town from January 3 to 7.
