Tulisa's pals 'panic' as she 'disappears' from Aussie hotel after I'm a Celebrity exitThe Toronto Raptor’s record for the 2024-25 NBA season hasn’t been great. Toronto is currently 7-22 in the Eastern Conference. Despite the record, there are players from the Raptors playing well this season. Here are the three players who are playing well in no particular order. Gradey Dick It’s safe to say that last season was not a great start for Gradey Dick ’s career. But this season, it’s a different story. He’s killing it so far this season. There’s been a significant improvement from where he was last year to this year. Dick is currently averaging 18.3 points per game, 3.4 rebounds per game, and 2.1 assists per game. Compare that to his stats last season where he averaged 8.5 points per game, 2.2 rebounds per game, and 1.1 assists per game, it clearly shows his improvement. He’s scoring 10 more points this year than last year. Dick had a bad start in his rookie year. But he slowly turned it around. Part of his growth is because Toronto decided to rebuild the team. He has more room to grow now that the Raptors traded Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby . Now Dick is the starting shooting guard for the Raptors. Here’s an example of how well Dick is playing this season. He scored 32 points, five rebounds, and three assists in a loss against the Milwaukee Bucks. Despite the loss, it was a good night for Dick because his 32 points in this game was a new career high for him. RJ Barrett Another player that’s having a career year is the hometown boy RJ Barrett. He’s currently averaging 23.2 points per game, 6.8 rebounds per game, and six assists per game. He’s been good before he was a Raptor. But ever since he was traded to Toronto from the New York Knicks, he’s been on another level. He’s more consistent as a Raptor than he was a Knick. During his time in New York, he averaged 18.1 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, and 2.8 assists per game. Now that he’s in Toronto, he’s averaging 22.5 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game, and 4.9 assists per game. Barrett’s total field goal percentage as a Knick was 42.2 percent while his current field goal percentage as a Raptor is 50.6 percent. His three-point field goal percentage is also up from his time with the Knicks. On Nov. 18 The Raptors beat the Indiana Pacers 130-119. The star of the night was Barrett. He finished the game with 39 points, 15 rebounds and two assists. This is so far his season high in points. Jakob Poeltl It’s a career year for Jakob Poeltl . He’s averaging 15.5 points per game, 11 rebounds per game, and 2,7 assists per game. Poeltl’s points and rebound averages are a career-high for him. If the Raptors decide to trade him before the trade deadline, they will get a good return on assets because of how well he’s playing this year. But let’s talk about the Poeltl trade talks at another time. Let’s go back to how well he’s playing. In a regular season on Nov. 16 against the Boston Celtics, Poeltl finished the game with 35 points and 12 rebounds. The Raptors lost that game in overtime due to Jayson Tatum ’s game-winner. Nevertheless, Poeltl’s effort was why Toronto led most of the game until Boston’s comeback. These are the top three players on the Raptors’ roster. Hopefully, Barrett, Poeltl, and Dick can play the same they’ve been playing right now for the rest of the season. Toronto isn’t going to be a playoff contender this season but the future is bright for the Raptors with these three players and Scottie Barnes on this team. NoneKevin Kisner would not have guessed his stock was starting to rise as his golf game was starting to age. A year ago, he had finished out of the top 200 on the PGA Tour for the first time in 10 years as he struggled to find his form when NBC called and asked if he’d like to try his hand in the broadcast booth for The Sentry at Kapalua. On Wednesday, NBC Sports announced Kisner would be the lead analyst for its portfolio of golf coverage that includes two majors and the Ryder Cup. What makes Kisner with his homespun outlook and South Carolina drawl a good fit to follow Paul Azinger and Johnny Miller? “I’ve wondered that myself,” Kisner said. “I think I offer a different perspective that is more player-centric. I’m not going to give you fluff because I’ve got an analyst’s job. I’ll tell it like it is. I’m not going to hinder my relationship with players, but I’ll tell you if you hit a bad shot or make a bad decision.” NBC had what amounted to a game of musical chairs since splitting with Azinger after the 2023 Ryder Cup outside Rome. Kisner, Brandel Chamblee of Golf Channel, Luke Donald, Paul McGinley and Brad Faxon all had stints in the chair next to lead announcer Dan Hicks. The network did not want to rush to fill the role permanently. The music stopped on Kisner. “Kevin always shared frank and honest opinions about the game of golf during our various conversations through the years,” said Tommy Roy, the lead golf producer for NBC. “Those kinds of opinions and his engaging personality make Kiz a great fit for our broadcast team. He knows these players, he knows this game, and the audience will get to hear more of those opinions and that personality this season.” Kisner is not done with his own game. With just over $29 million in career earnings, he is using a one-time exemption from the PGA Tour career money list to be exempt for 2025. He is a four-time winner, including a World Golf Championship title at the Match Play and two other appearances in the championship match. He played in the Presidents Cup in 2017 and 2022 and was an assistant this year at Royal Montreal. The plan is for him to work 10 tournaments, which would include the U.S. Open and The Open, the FedExCup playoffs and The Players Championship. He is likely to play at least two events during the Florida swing that NBC broadcasts. He still considers himself a player and has seen signs that his swing is getting to where it was. “They were so supportive of that, and that’s why I was willing to negotiate with them,” Kisner said. “They want me there for the big events that I’m not exempt into, and they’ve been accommodating if I do get in. It’s a great deal for me. NBC loves the idea that the weeks CBS is covering golf I’m playing, and hopefully playing great.” He’s fond of saying about golf, “This ain’t no hobby.” Even so, he likely will be in a far more prominent role in the NBC booth than inside the ropes next year.ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — The Denver Broncos' usually stout defense has been rocked ever since losing second-year cornerback Riley Moss to an MCL injury against Las Vegas in Week 12. Without Moss there to capitalize on opponents shying away from star cornerback Patrick Surtain II, the Broncos (9-6) have had to largely abandon their preferred man coverage in favor of zone strategies and the results haven't been pretty. They allowed 32 points to the Cleveland Browns when former teammate Jerry Jeudy caught nine passes for a career-best 235 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown. Only Jonathan Taylor's fumble at the goal line as he was about to score a 41-yard touchdown and give Indianapolis a 20-3 lead saved the Broncos in Week 15 and allowed Denver to seize momentum and get the victory. They couldn't stop Justin Herbert , who led the Los Angeles Chargers back from a double-digit third-quarter deficit for a 34-27 win last week that prevented the Broncos from ending their eight-year playoff drought. It also put more pressure on the Broncos to win Saturday at Cincinnati, where the Bengals (7-8) cling to hopes of catching the Broncos and denying Denver a wild-card berth. Moss returned to practice last week and the Broncos will determine this week whether he’s ready to return to the field or if it’s better to keep him out until their season finale against Kansas City. But all signs point to Moss being on the field to help thwart Cincy's offense led by Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. “It's great to have him back,” Surtain said after practice Tuesday. “I mean, you talk about a guy who was playing lights-out before the injury, but to see him back out there with confidence, out there practicing, getting his mojo back, it brings a lot of confidence to the team, as well. So, it's good to see him back out there in action, for sure.” Moss has enjoyed a breakout season in Denver with 71 tackles, eight pass breakups and an interception in 12 starts. He played in 14 games as a rotation player his rookie season after recovering from core muscle surgery that relegated him to special teams and spot duty in 2023. “We were and have been super excited" about the third-round pick out of Iowa, coach Sean Payton said. "Obviously, the guy that plays opposite of Patrick is going to get a lot of business. All throughout training camp, he really rose to the occasion, battled, competed and throughout really a good portion of the season. “He’s a big reason why we were playing so well defensively,” Payton added. "The sooner the better when we can get him back in the lineup. Hopefully it can happen this weekend.” In Moss' dozen starts, the Broncos allowed 16.8 points per game. Without him, they've been allowing 26.3 points a game. Burrow and Chase pose a bigger challenge to the Broncos than Jeudy and Jameis Wiston did for Cleveland or Herbert and Ladd McConkey did for the Chargers. The medial collateral ligament is on the inside of the knee that connects the thigh bone to the shin bone. It’s one of four major ligaments that stabilize the knee and allow it to rotate. It typically takes a month to recover from an MCL sprain and the Broncos had their bye week earlier this month, meaning Moss might only have to miss three games. If the Broncos reach the playoffs for the first time since winning Super Bowl 50 in Hall of Famer Peyton Manning's last start, they'll likely need to have a healthy Moss opposite Surtain to have any realistic hopes of avoiding a one-and-done appearance. The Broncos got a scare when Surtain injured an ankle against Indianapolis two weeks ago and limped off the field in the closing minutes. However, he was a full-go at practice last week and had no issues against the Chargers. NOTES: The Broncos waived veteran CB Levi Wallace, who had been inactive the past two weeks after giving up several big plays to Jeudy on Dec. 2. Denver also designated RB Tyler Badie to return from a back injury he sustained against the Jets in Week 4. Payton said he hopes to sign Wallace to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
