I bought this stuff and started using it, and in less than two weeks, my huge keloid was completely gone! I was definitely skeptical and a little nervous when it didn’t seem to be getting noticeably smaller after a week, but then the second week, it started totally disappearing so make sure to give it some time to work if your bump is on the larger side. Promising review: "I'm amazed at how well this toothbrush cleans my teeth — it definitely gets between the teeth and also more importantly for me, gets in the small, deep crevices in my molars where I always have food stuck and regular toothbrushes couldn't get stuff out. I begin seeing the gunk from my zits after 2–3 hours of having it covered, but I leave it on for at least the full six . Legacy systems, the bedrock of enterprise operations, are now barriers to innovation in a rapidly evolving digital era. With unparalleled depth, Kowsick Venkatachalapathi unravels the intricacies of transitioning from monolithic architectures to agile microservices. His work not only underscores the urgency of modernization but also reveals groundbreaking strategies to empower organizations with unmatched scalability, resilience, and competitive edge. Legacy systems, while critical to enterprise operations, have become obstacles to innovation in today’s dynamic business environment. Built on tightly coupled architectures and outdated technology stacks, these systems lack the flexibility and scalability demanded by modern markets. Research shows that organizations using legacy systems experience a 2.5x delay in deploying new features compared to those employing microservices architectures, significantly hindering agility and responsiveness. The financial burden is equally daunting, with 60-80% of IT budgets allocated to maintenance—a figure increasing annually by 20%. This unsustainable expenditure highlights the urgency for modernization. Beyond cost savings, transitioning from legacy systems empowers organizations to embrace technological advancements, streamline operations, and enhance competitiveness. Modernization is no longer an optional upgrade; it is an essential transformation to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving technological landscape. Modernization extends beyond technology, emphasizing the importance of organizational transformation for sustained success. A key factor is organizational readiness, with product-aligned team structures improving productivity by 35% through enhanced collaboration and accountability. Equally vital are comprehensive training programs, which accelerate technology adoption by 40%, equipping teams to leverage new systems efficiently. However, modernization thrives on more than processes—it demands fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability. By encouraging creativity and embracing change, organizations position themselves to navigate evolving technological landscapes, ensuring resilience, competitiveness, and long-term growth in a dynamic business environment. Modernization has adopted transformative practices that significantly enhance efficiency and scalability. Containerization and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) have revolutionized operations by reducing deployment times and configuration drift by 90%. Service mesh technologies bolster microservices architectures, improving communication reliability by 80%, while GitOps frameworks simplify infrastructure and application management using version control. The integration of AI-driven predictive monitoring and automated incident response strengthens system resilience and operational efficiency. Paired with zero-trust security models, these advancements ensure robust defenses for distributed systems. Together, these innovations enable organizations to create agile, secure, and scalable infrastructures, paving the way for sustained growth and competitiveness. In conclusion, Kowsick Venkatachalapathi brilliantly illustrates the fusion of technical mastery and strategic foresight essential for modernizing legacy systems. His insights provide a roadmap for organizations to navigate this intricate transformation, unlocking unparalleled scalability, reliability, and adaptability. As technology reshapes industries, his work underscores that modernization is not merely a choice but a necessity for businesses striving to remain agile, innovative, and competitive in an ever-evolving digital landscape.Xiaomi 14T Launch in Berlin Sparks Anticipation for SA Fans!
The Chicago White Sox are engaging in one of the largest rebuilding efforts in Major League Baseball history and could land a few big pieces by pulling off a swap with an American League East contender. Just about anyone with knowledge of Chicago's plight believes that the White Sox will deal away staff ace Garrett Crochet this winter. It will be a massive transaction, as Chicago needs to land at least two — if not three— future difference-makers for one of the team's few remaining trade chips. To that end, Jim Bowden of The Athletic envisions a deal that sends Crochet to the Boston Red Sox for a package of first baseman Triston Casas, outfielder Wilyer Abreu, and catcher/utilityman Connor Wong. That proposed deal would land the White Sox the third-place finisher in the 2023 American League Rookie of the Year voting (Casas) as well as last season's six-place ROY finisher and a Gold Glove Award winner (Abreu). While Chicago would give up its No. 1 starting pitcher, the team would receive two players that could star on the south side of the Windy City for at least the remainder of the decade. Casas is not eligible for free agency until 2029, and Abreu is not eligible until 2030. Casas, 24, missed the majority of the 2024 campaign due to torn cartilage in his rib cage but returned in mid-August. He hit 13 home runs in 63 games after launching 24 homers in 132 games during his rookie season in 2023. Abreu, 25, was impressive in his rookie year, finishing 2024 with a .253 average to go with 15 homers, 58 RBI, 59 runs scored, and splendid defensive work in right field at Fenway Park. Wong is the "old man" of the trio at 28 years old. He is a catcher by trade but played all over the field for Boston over the past three seasons. He hit a career-best .280 in 126 games last season, hitting 13 homers with 52 RBI. More MLB: Blue Jays reportedly 'covet' $88 million free-agent sluggerNone
The current hexagonal stamp lacks any distinctly Kuki Airani features, and the wording is difficult to read – especially with the red pen used to fill it in. During the Covid era, Air NZ staff had to spend extra time studying mine just to make sure I was cleared to travel. Retain the NZ passport, but create a stamp that’s unique and unmistakably representative of our culture, and distinct from the other immigration stamps. Sorted! While we’re at it, why not seriously consider adopting a new name for our country, one that truly reflects the heritage and culture of our tangata ‘enua. Now that’s about real identity ... but I suspect it’s a whole other Pandora’s box. Vancouver Canucks defenceman Filip Hronek is expected to be out until the end of January as he recovers from a lower-body injury. General manager Patrik Allvin issued a statement Tuesday saying Hronek underwent a successful procedure for the undisclosed ailment and is expected to miss about eight weeks. He says the 27-year-old Czech blueliner will not require surgery for an upper-body injury. Hronek hasn’t played since going into the endboards hard late in Vancouver’s 5-4 loss to the Penguins in Pittsburgh last Wednesday. He’s been paired with captain Quinn Hughes for much of the season and registered eight points (one goal, eight assists) in 21 games. The Canucks (13-7-3) have dealt with a litany of notable absences this season, including all-star goalie Thatcher Demko, who remains sidelined with a knee injury, and star centre J.T. Miller, who’s on an indefinite leave for personal reasons. This report by The Canadian Press was first published Dec. 3, 2024. Advertisement
Jaylon Johnson isn't interested in bright spots with the Bears' skid at 5 gamesTechnology stocks led a broad rally on Wall Street Tuesday during a holiday-shortened trading session ahead of Christmas. The S&P 500 rose 1.1% for its third-straight gain. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.9%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq composite climbed 1.3%. While Big Tech companies, including Apple, Amazon and chip company Broadcom helped push the market higher, the gains were widespread. Advancers outnumbered decliners by more than 3-to-1 on the New York Stock Exchange. Broadcom rose 3.2%, Apple gained 1.1% and Amazon closed 1.8% higher. Super Micro Computer climbed 6%. Tesla jumped 7.4% for the biggest gains among S&P 500 stocks. American Airlines shook off an early loss and ended with a 0.6% gain after the airline briefly grounded flights nationwide due to a technical issue. Elsewhere in the market, U.S. Steel rose 1.9% a day after an influential government panel failed to reach consensus on the possible national security risks of the nearly $15 billion proposed sale to Nippon Steel of Japan. NeueHealth surged 74.9% after the health care company agreed to be taken private in a deal valued at roughly $1.3 billion. All told, the S&P 500 rose 65.97 points to 6,040.04. The Dow added 390.08 points to 43,297.03, and the Nasdaq rose 266.24 points to 20,031.13. Treasury yields held steady in the bond market. The yield on the 10-year Treasury was little changed at 4.59%. European markets closed mostly higher. Markets in Asia mostly gained ground. Tuesday’s U.S. market rally comes as the stock market enters what’s historically been a very cheerful season. The last five trading days of each year, plus the first two in the new year, have brought an average gain of 1.3% since 1950. The so-called “Santa rally” also correlates closely with positive returns in January and the upcoming year. So far this month, the U.S. stock market has lost some of its gains since President-elect Donald Trump’s win on Election Day, which raised hopes for faster economic growth and more lax regulations that would boost corporate profits. Worries have risen that Trump’s preference for tariffs and other policies could lead to higher inflation , a bigger U.S. government debt and difficulties for global trade. Even so, the stock market remains on pace to deliver strong returns for 2024. The benchmark S&P 500 is up 26.6% so far this year and remains within roughly 1% of the all-time high it set earlier this month — its latest of 57 record highs this year. U.S. markets will be closed Wednesday for Christmas. Wall Street has several economic reports to look forward to this week, including a weekly update on unemployment benefits on Thursday.
Pope Francis, leading the world’s Roman Catholics into Christmas, delivered a strong message of hope and transformation during his Christmas Eve Mass on Tuesday. Celebrating the 12th Christmas of his papacy, Francis underscored that Jesus’ story of birth – as the son of a poor carpenter – has to make people believe in themselves as well, thus making them change the course of things in the world. Speaking in his sermon at the solemn Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica, Pope Francis addressed the virtue of hope, which is also the theme for the upcoming 2025 Catholic Holy Year. He described hope as a powerful summons that encourages individuals to break free from complacency and confront the injustices of the world. He exhorted the faithful to find the courage to effect positive changes, saying that “hope calls us. to be upset with things that are wrong and to find the courage to change them.” The Holy Year, which the Vatican hopes will attract 32 million tourists to Rome, also marked the opening of the “Holy Door” at St. Peter’s-an event symbolizing spiritual renewal. This Jubilee, running through January 6, 2026, is a time for peace, forgiveness, and reflection. Pilgrims who walk through the Holy Door will be able to receive special indulgences, a remission of sins that is traditionally associated with these rare events, which typically occur every 25 years. Importance Of Spiritual And Social Renewal Pope Francis further underlined the call for social and economic change during the Jubilee. He challenged developed nations to take this chance to lessen the burden of debt of poorer nations, a call made by the late Pope John Paul II in the 2000 Jubilee year. This campaign to cancel debt for low-income nations ended up canceling $130 billion of debt between 2000 and 2015. “The Jubilee calls us to spiritual renewal and commits us to the transformation of our world,” Pope Francis declared. “A time of jubilee for the poorer countries burdened beneath unfair debts; a time of jubilee for all those who are in bondage to forms of slavery old and new.” Hope For The Future While the Vatican estimates up to 100,000 pilgrims will pass through the Holy Door each day in the coming year, Pope Francis’ message was not only about the physical journey to Rome but also about a collective spiritual journey toward a better, more just world. The Mass was attended by around 6,000 people inside St. Peter’s Basilica, with another 25,000 watching the event on screens in St. Peter’s Square. Despite having a cold, Pope Francis was healthy and upbeat; however, his voice was a little hoarse. At the end of Mass, he reminded faithful people that hope is not only a feeling but an appeal to act, telling them to be courageous in the face of challenges and not to give up easily. Thibaud Flament powered over from close range to hand the hosts an early lead but the boot of Tomas Albornoz kept the Pumas in touching distance. Gabin Villiere finished off a flowing French move for their second try before Juan Martin Gonzalez was sent to the sin bin for deliberately knocking on the ball with Louis Bielle-Biarrey poised to score a third. France were not to be denied, however, and they were awarded a penalty try before reaching the interval at Stade de France with a healthy 30-9 lead. The Pumas, who were narrowly edged out by Ireland in their last outing, recovered after the break and were held up over the line before Thomas Gallo crossed for their opening try. Bielle-Biarrey showed his class at the other end to latch onto his own kick through and score his 10th Test try in 14 appearances to restore France's advantage. Argentina remained resolute and Ignacio Ruiz came off the bench to score a powerful consolation but France claimed their sixth win in their past seven meetings against the South American side. Les Bleus, who last suffered defeat in July when they were beaten 33-25 by Argentina in Buenos Aires, have won all three autumn games after victories over Japan and New Zealand. Speaking to TNT Sports, France lock Emmanuel Meafou said: "We knew it was going to be an 80-minute game. We saw last week how Argentina went all the way against a good Irish team. "We are happy with the win. We have three from three [in the autumn] and we will look to build on that in the Six Nations next year." How to Watch Dallas Mavericks vs. Atlanta Hawks: Dallas enters this matchup fresh off a 123-118 loss to the Miami Heat on Sunday, which snapped their four-game winning streak. Kyrie Irving did his part, dropping 27 points in the loss, but the Mavericks couldn't close the gap late. With Luka Doncic and Kyrie leading the charge, Dallas will aim to rekindle the magic of their recent win streak and start this road trip on a high note. Meanwhile, the Hawks have had a bumpy ride lately, losing three of their last four games, including a 136-122 defeat to the Chicago Bulls on Friday. Despite Trae Young's 25-point, 13-assist performance, Atlanta couldn't get the stops they needed to secure a win. Playing at home might give them a much-needed boost, but they'll need a sharper defensive effort to avoid letting the Mavericks' potent offense run wild.
