COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Will Howard passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another, TreVeyon Henderson ran for a score and No. 2 Ohio State beat previously undefeated No. 5 Indiana 38-15 on Saturday. All Ohio State (10-1, 7-1 Big Ten, CFP No. 2) has to do now is beat Michigan at home next Saturday and it will earn a return to the Big Ten championship game for the first time since 2020 and get a rematch with No. 1 Oregon. The Ducks beat Ohio State 32-31 in a wild one back on Oct. 12. The Hoosiers (10-1, 7-1, No. 5 CFP) had their best chance to beat the Buckeyes for the first time since 1988 but were hurt by special teams mistakes and disrupted by an Ohio State defence that sacked Canadian quarterback Kurtis Rourke five times. “In life, all good things come to an end,” Indiana coach Curt Cignetti said. Late in the first half, Indiana punter James Evans fumbled a snap and was buried at his own 7-yardline with the Buckeyes taking over. That turned quickly into a 4-yard TD run by Henderson that gave the Buckeyes a 14-7 lead. Early in the second half, Caleb Downs fielded an Evans punt at the Ohio State 21, raced down the right sideline, cut to the middle and outran the coverage for a TD that put the Buckeyes up 21-7. They know he ambushed Thompson at 6:44 a.m. Wednesday as the executive arrived at the Hilton for his company’s annual investor conference, using a 9 mm pistol that resembled the guns farmers use to put down animals without causing a loud noise. They know ammunition found near Thompson’s body bore the words “delay,” “deny” and “depose,” mimicking a phrase used by insurance industry critics . The fact that the shooter knew UnitedHealthcare group was holding a conference at the hotel and what route Thompson might take to get there suggested that he could possibly be a disgruntled employee or client, NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said. Police divers were seen searching a pond in Central Park, where the killer fled after the shooting. Officers have been scouring the park for days for any possible clues and found his backpack there Friday. Nazara, which plans to acquire 47.02% shareholding in the real money gaming startup, also signed a call option agreement with Pokerbaazi’s parent Moonshine Technology to get a “call option” to purchase up to 1% of the latter’s share capital, on a fully diluted basis, for an aggregate consideration not exceeding INR 25 Cr. In its latest filing, Nazara said that it will acquire 18.69 Cr fully paid-up equity shares of Moonshine Technology by way of share swap and cash consideration. While the cash consideration will see Nazara cough up INR 624.22 Cr, the share swap will be worth INR 195.90 Cr. This follows the listed company signing a definitive agreement to acquire a 47.7% stake in Moonshine Technology for INR 831.5 Cr. Its board had also approved an additional equity infusion of up to INR 150 Cr in Pokerbaazi, bringing the total size of the deal at the time to INR 982 Cr. Meanwhile, Nazara’s board on Tuesday also approved the extension of the second close long stop date (proposed timeline for the completion of an M&A) for the acquisition of 22% stake in Bengaluru-based adtech company Datawrkz to January 31, 2025. Now, the company will acquire 14,999 equity shares of Datawrkz by the end of January next year for INR 21 Cr and the payment will be made in one or more tranches. TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Two-time Pro Bowl linebacker Shaquil Barrett is rejoining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs signed the two-time Super Bowl champion on Saturday, while also announcing safety Jordan Whitehead was activated from injured reserve ahead of Sunday’s home game against the Carolina Panthers. Barrett spent five seasons with Tampa Bay from 2019 to 2023. He led the NFL with a franchise-record 19 1-2 sacks in his first year with the Bucs, then helped the team win its second Super Bowl title the following season. In all, Barrett started 70 games with Tampa Bay, amassing 45 sacks, 15 forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and three interceptions. He was released last winter in a salary cap move, signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins in free agency, then abruptly announced his retirement on social media before the start of training camp in July. Barrett, who also won a Super Bowl during a four-season stint with the Denver Broncos, decided to unretire last month. He signed with the Bucs after clearing waivers earlier in the week. The list, dubbed “marjeevras” (those immortalised in death), was announced on Thursday evening, hours after Haryana Police fortified barricades to stop farmers from entering the state and the Ambala DC issued prohibitory orders under Section 163 of Bharatiya Nyaya Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) to ban processions even on foot. The list, released by SKM (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, mentions each activist’s name, his father’s name, phone number, address and union affiliation. Farmers said they will first attempt to cross the state border at 1pm and stopping them will be like snatching their fundamental rights. “Additional barricades towards Punjab side by Haryana govt show both Haryana and Punjab are on the same page to stop farmers,” said farm leaders Sarvan Singh Pandher, Surjit Phool and Tejveer Singh. Ambala DC Parth Gupta justified the prohibitory orders, claiming there were inputs of the agitators trying to gherao Parliament or camp permanently on highways leading to Delhi. “Agitators are being asked to carry weapons, implements and other instruments to resist any action of law enforcement agencies as well as the public, and cause destruction to public and private property. Agitators have not taken any permission under Section 69 of Haryana Police Act in Ambala district,” read an order issued by the DC. On Thursday morning, Haryana authorities added a fresh layer of barricading on the Shambhu border, which falls on National Highway 44 (GT Road), where farmers have been camping on a 2-km stretch of the road on the Punjab side. Farmers claimed that Haryana Police even conducted a mock drill in Ambala to stop farmers during the day. Punjab Police too, as a last resort, held a meeting with farmers to prevail upon them not to disturb law and order. Patiala range DIG Mandeep Singh Sidhu and Patiala SSP Nanak Singh met farmers at Shambhu. Sidhu said he asked farmers not to move any vehicles as central govt was looking into their demands and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar had also spoken in their support. Ambala SP Surinder Singh Bhoria also visited Shambhu border and reviewed arrangements. “We have made sufficient arrangements to maintain the law and order at Shambhu. Farmers have been conveyed they will be allowed only with permission. A joint meeting of Punjab and Haryana police officers was also held with farm leaders, in which discussion was held regarding the present situation. A meeting with farmers will be held tomorrow in the morning again,” Bhoria added. On Thursday, more farmers reached Shambhu and Khanauri borders from various districts of Punjab. Haryana administration had on Wednesday pasted posters at Shambhu, asking farmers to reconsider their plan to move towards Delhi as restrictions are in place.
