Common sense is back in America. Donald Trump is right: Not only is the Republican Party the “party of common sense,” but he has a clear mandate to bring common-sense policies back to America after years of radical leftist failure. Trump’s 2024 victory was a win for normality and a crushing loss for left-wing Democrats who insist on selling wokeness to American voters who refused to buy it. The left’s meltdown post-Election Day has been a testament to the craziness of today’s liberals, who are now pivoting (again) to “resistance” mode. We have heard liberals complain about racism, sexism, misogyny, xenophobia, fascism, and everything else under the sun to vilify Trump and his voters. ADVERTISEMENT The reality is the people who claim Trump is Adolf Hitler probably shouldn’t be taken seriously. The left is so mindlessly committed to its radical, anti-American orthodoxy that it is missing an opportunity to self-diagnose the failures of the agenda of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Over the years, the left has utterly lost its mind, and yet Democrats refuse to see the light. We cannot overlook the insanity of expecting a different outcome for the “woke” agenda than a historic defeat. The 2024 election brought one of the most significant red waves in history, with the supposed fascists winning the Electoral College and the popular vote — and easily. Should this even be surprising? Today’s Democrats believe feelings matter more than facts and that there are more than two genders. They openly embrace the same socialism and communism that has brutally failed everywhere in the world and killed more than 100 million people . They believe Israelis are terrorists and not Hamas. They believe in open borders, supporting tens of millions of undocumented immigrants — even if they are criminals — over law-abiding U.S. citizens, who voted for safety and security by voting for Trump. The Democratic Party pretends inflation doesn’t exist (it does), that the Inflation Reduction Act actually reduced inflation (it didn’t), and Bidenomics makes our lives better (it doesn’t). Democrats pretend the Afghanistan withdrawal wasn’t an unmitigated disaster. The world is a better place in their feeble, feckless hands, despite proof to the contrary in the Middle East and Eastern Europe and the South China Sea and everywhere else. The world is on fire because of Democrats. Democrats can’t even secure our own borders, let alone peace abroad, and American voters were not in the business of pretending any longer. Failure after failure, it is no shock that Democrats lost about 20 million votes between 2020 and 2024 — a 25% drop. The only surprise is that tens of millions of Americans continue to vote for Democrats. The years ahead will expose the foolishness of stubbornly loyal Democrats. Returning to common sense means enacting common-sense policies that any good-faith American — even a Trump critic — can accept. No one wants a weak economy. No one wants lawlessness. No one wants transgenderism in elementary schools. No one wants illegal immigration unless you’re a left-wing nut who wants undocumented immigrants to become loyal Democrats one day but hilariously refuses to house them in their homes . Trump’s win was a rejection of nonsense. It will result in a strong economy, mass deportation, toughness on crime, old-school American education, and a reversal of the wokeness that parents and students despise. It will strengthen allies like Israel and weaken enemies like Hamas or China. Come January, America will have a president who believes in traditional values and isn’t afraid to say it. We will have a president who actually wants to enforce the law. ADVERTISEMENT Unless you’re a left-wing radical, you will support the mass deportation of criminals who are here illegally. Most Americans are fed up with the free ride given to undocumented immigrants at our expense — more generous than our struggling countrymen, including veterans. People want to address inflation, and most Americans are sick of the high cost of living under the Biden-Harris administration. People believe in bringing peace back to the world, and most Americans don’t want their sons and daughters dying for ineffectual militarism. And people accept that there are only two genders — because most Americans put facts over feelings and want to get the mentally ill the help they so desperately need. If you’re a radical leftist, the next four years will be intolerable. For left-wing crazies, the Trump administration will be a struggle, but it is a great victory for sanity. Ever experinced cringe attacks? All you need to know about itLiberty the emu's adventure with liberation continues, except now, according to its owner, "He's in emu jail." The critter jokingly named after the Liberty Mutual insurance pitchbird slipped out of its pen at an exotic animals ranch on South Nogales Highway overnight Thursday. The next day gawkers photographed Liberty blocking traffic on the highway and peeking into a car window, near Aerospace Parkway and the entrances to a couple of big Tucson employers including Raytheon. The emu became a bit of a social media sensation here. Just moseying down the highway, as an emu will, on a crisp Tucson morning. Its owner, Tattoo Tattoo (that's his legal name "and the name on my driver's license," he says), had been driving all around the region Friday looking for him, but Liberty was elusive. Liberty the emu with its owner, Tattoo Tattoo, in happier times. Tattoo says he's now heard that Liberty got shooed off the highway and took off onto Tohono O'odham reservation land near Desert Diamond Casino on Valencia Road. From there, Tohono O'odham police reportedly caught him and took him to a tribal animal sanctuary. Tattoo thinks Liberty has been transferred to Arizona Game & Fish, where he hopes to pick him up Monday morning in his truck and trailer. He guesses Liberty was about 2.5 miles from home when caught. "They just wander around like Eeyore all slow and depressed," he affectionately joked. Watch an emu race through the Brookfield Zoo near Chicago, Illinois. Subscribe to stay connected to Tucson. A statement signed by its National President, Daniel Dallah Peace on Sunday emphasized the need for military presence in the area to ensure prompt action to help restore security and protect lives and properties in the area. He lamented, “One of our own, a CBN Director, was once abducted in the area and N300m was paid as ransom for his release.” Dala stated that a military formation in Kwassam would help in no small measure restore normalcy in surrounding vulnerable communities that have been displaced over the years, stressing that about a billion has so far been paid as ransom from the vulnerable communities where 13 people were gruesomely killed, and over 200 taken captive in the space of four months. He stated, “The Military formation in Kwassam will enable the communities that have been displaced to return to their ancestral homes where they have their farms and farm produce. Currently, our traditional leader Alh. Dauda Abdulsalam, the Pugom Kumana, for some years, has not been at home because of the attempt made on his life by the bandits.” The President wondered why the council Chairman of Kauru Local Government Area who is also the Chief Security Officer of the people, completely exempted Kwassam and surrounding vulnerable communities in Kumana Chiefdom in his security reports presented to the G O C 3rd Division Jos. He added that communities like Fagen rawa, Kaibi, Kusheka, Fadan Ruruma, Rafin rimi, Kitimi, Kakude, and Kiwollo have all been affected by the kidnappings and killings while many residents of the affected communities have to relocate to neighbouring communities for fear of being kidnapped or killed. He further highlighted that the communities have witnessed setbacks due to the brutal killings and kidnapping of people who are legitimately working on their farms while attributing the development to a conspiracy to ensure poverty thrives in their areas. He said the Community is ready to donate their houses or facilities to the military once the formation is approved to start operations and appealed to the Federal Government to intensify efforts in supporting Governor Uba Sani as he responds to their plight. He assured the community’s hundred percent readiness to cooperate with the security agencies and Governments to end the menace in their communities. They are the ones who have brought the Kale Pani Da Morcha , the protest movement aimed at addressing severe pollution in Buddha Dariya, to this point. These activists, Kapil Arora (civil engineer), Jaskirat Singh (chemical engineer), Kuldeep Khaira (dairy owner and RTI activist), and Dr Amandeep Bains (dentist), took up the initiative when they saw that the AAP government did nothing to solve the Buddha Dariya pollution issue, despite having contested elections on this platform. The activists claimed it deeply troubled them to see CM Bhagwant Mann and Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan remain silent on the issue. These activists were also part of the Mattewara and Zira Factory morchas. Kuldeep Singh Khaira, a resident of Isher Nagar, Gill Road, and an RTI activist since 2006, has been raising numerous issues through his RTI queries. “We have been working on environmental issues for a long time together, and Buddha Dariya has always been at the back of our minds as it is a major issue not only for this city but also for the entire state,” he said. He mentioned that many politicians and bureaucrats talked about clearing the drain as before, but nothing happened on the ground. Khaira further said that what pinched the most was the silence of the present government, which had contested elections on this issue. He said CM Bhagwant Mann should watch his previous videos where he visited the houses of people who lost their loved ones to cancer and other diseases, all because they are forced to drink such polluted water. Kapil Arora, a civil engineer and resident of BRS Nagar, came into the limelight in 2021 when a small portion of the Gill Chowk flyover collapsed. As a member of the Council of Engineers, he pointed out the issues with the flyover and has since been active on various environmental issues. Arora has filed at least 30 cases in the National Green Tribunal, with 17 or 18 cases still active. Regarding this morcha, he said: “Initially, when we gave the government a three-month ultimatum, we believed they would take action during this period. We even extended the deadline from Sep to Dec, but it did not work.” He said that water body pollution is a very serious issue, and now they want to see whether the government will support them or those who are polluting everything. Arora further said that they will conduct a peaceful protest and block the outlets, but if any untoward incident occurs, the government will be responsible. Jaskirat Singh, a chemical engineer and software developer residing in Model Town, has been dedicated to this cause since 2006. He has joined many other groups addressing environmental issues, whether it be the axing of trees, Buddha Dariya, or other violations. He said: “We are not after money, and this is perhaps the major reason we could take up this issue to this point. But the sad part is the silence of the state government. The govt wants activists and industrialists to be at loggerheads with each other.” Asked why they are targeting CETPs first, he said: “Document show that CETPs are discharging their treated water into Buddha Dariya illegally, by going against the agreement. We are not violating anything, but helping implement the PPCB’s orders. After CETPs, we will fight other violations. Dr Amandeep Bains, a dentist residing in Basant Avenue, is quite vocal about various issues in Punjab, whether religious, political, or social. He began his environmental work with the NGO RBS Roots, under which he conducted plantation drives and cleanliness campaigns at the Satluj and Sidhwan canals. Despite having a fractured leg when he joined the Kale Pani Da Morcha, he was active in the events. Bains said: “We can’t let our kids die just for a few industrialists. Clean water is a basic right, and AAP govt has failed. CM Mann was to take a dip in Buddha Dariya after the rejuvenation project was completed, but to date, he has not even bothered to talk to us about this issue.” He said that they will ensure this issue reaches a conclusion.
