(NASDAQ: MRM) announces that its subsidiary MEDIROM MOTHER Labs Inc. raised to date an aggregate total of 260.3 million yen (approximtaely USD $ [1.7] million calculated at an exchange rate of JPY[153.64] to US$1) at a pre-money equity valuation of JPY9 billion (approximately USD $ [58.6] million calculated at an exchange rate of JPY[153.64] to US$1) in its Series A equity financing. NFES Technologies Inc. is the lead investor in the financing round, and several public companies in Japan, including M3, Inc. (TOKYO PRIME: 2413) and Elematec Corporation (TOKYO PRIME: 2715), as well as certain individual investors are also participating. The Series A equity financing round is still ongoing. "We believe that the interim government will hold a free, fair and impartial election in the country within the next six months," he said while speaking at a memorial meeting in the city on Sunday (November 24). Barisal Bibagh Samity organized the memorial meeting and doa mahfil at the Dhaka Reporters Unity auditorium in the capital in observance the 35th death anniversary of valiant freedom-fighter Major (Retd) M.A. Jalil, Commander of the Sector 9 during the War of Liberation in 1971. Hafiz Uddin Ahmed said, "We have much expectations from the interim government. We believe that they will offer a general election to the nation within the next six months. We will gladly accept those who will come to power through that election. There should be voting rights of all. There should also be democracy and human rights." The BNP leader said, "We intend to see a government as early as possible which will remain accountable to people. The filed of politics is open now. If students want to do politics, they can join the election forming political parties. They can take part in the election in free atmosphere visiting people door to door. We will gladly accept whoever comes to power with the mandate of people." Major (Retd) Hafiz further said: "We have heard of reforms. It is good. There is no faults with reforms. COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo. — For a pair of lower-level downhill events, this sure had plenty of Olympic medal-capturing and World Cup-winning ski racers. The stage belonged to Lindsey Vonn, the 40-year-old who took another step on her comeback trail Saturday with her first races in nearly six years. Vonn wasn't particularly speedy and finished in the middle of the pack on a cold but sunny day at Copper Mountain. Times and places weren't the mission, though, as much as getting used to the speed again and gaining the necessary points to compete on the World Cup circuit this season. Vonn accomplished both, finishing 24th in the first downhill race of the day and 27th in the second. She posted on social media after the FIS races that she had enough points to enter World Cup events. The timing couldn't be more perfect — the next stop on the women's circuit is Beaver Creek, Colorado, in a week. Vonn, who used to own a home in nearby Vail, hasn't committed to any sort of timetable for a World Cup return. Huetter is the reigning season-long World Cup downhill champion. “It’s really nice to compare with her again, and nice to have her (racing) again,” Huetter said. “For sure, for the skiing World Cup, we have a lot of more attention. It's generally good for all racers because everyone is looking.” Also in the field were Nadia Delago of Italy, who won a bronze medal in downhill at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, and Puchner, the Olympic silver winner in super-G in Beijing. In addition, there was Marta Bassino of Italy, a winner of the super-G at the 2023 world championships, and two-time Olympic champion Michelle Gisin of Switzerland. “For me, it was really a training, but it was fun to have a World Cup race level right here,” Gisin said. “It was a crazy race.” Vonn remains a popular figure and took the time after each run to sign autographs for young fans along with posing for photos. Shiffrin is currently sidelined after a crash in a giant slalom event in Killington, Vermont, last weekend. Vonn’s last major race was in February 2019, when she finished third in a downhill during the world championships in Sweden. The three-time Olympic medalist left the circuit still near the top of her game. But all the broken arms and legs, concussions and torn knee ligaments took too big a toll and sent her into retirement. She had a partial knee replacement last April and felt good enough to give racing another shot. “It's very impressive to see all the passion that Lindsey still has,” Gisin said. Also racing Saturday was 45-year-old Sarah Schleper, who once competed for the United States but now represents Mexico. Pinewood has earned multiple state titles for multiple sports through the years, but a football championship was always out of reach until this year. In a thrilling game, the Panthers defeated Wilson Hall 24-21 in the SCISA 3A Football Championship Nov. 23 at Charleston Southern University. “This was a tough game,” Pinewood coach DeVonte Holloman said. “Wilson Hall played great, but our boys fought until the very end. We worked hard this season. The loss in the second round last year kind of fueled us all season. We got over the hump and made it to the big dance and were able to finish. The Pinewood family has worked hard for a long time for this so we’re glad to finally bring one home.” Pinewood ends the season with a 10-2 record while Wilson Hall fell to 11-2. Both of the Barons’ losses this season came to the Panthers. The Panthers went up 14-0 on a 1-yard touchdown run by Jeremiah Singleton and a 13-yard TD pass from Asa Windham to Terrance Stallworth. The Barons responded to the TD catch by mounting a 65-yard scoring drive capped by a 9-yard TD run by Milling Galloway. The score remained 14-7 entering the second half. Pinewood cushioned its lead with a 1-yard TD run from Singleton and a 33-yard field goal from Alex Hylton. The field goal was set up by an interception by Grady Fuller and a 28-yard reception byJayden Alexander. Wilson Hall trailed 24-7 entering the fourth quarter, but scored on a 30-yard TD pass from QB Owen Meyers to Ford Wilder and a 1-yard run by Meyers.
