NFL Week 14 grades: Hot Steelers earn 'A-' for beating up on Browns, Eagles get lower mark than PanthersMotorola Hops On The AI Wagon, Rolls Out New Moto AI Features. Check Out The Eligible Devices Here

Good football teams don’t make the mistakes the Browns make — not just the ones they made Dec. 8 when their misery in Pittsburgh continued with a 27-14 loss to the Steelers — but over and over and over again this season. The Browns are 3-10 because they are undisciplined, Dustin Hopkins is unreliable as a kicker, they make other special teams blunders, coaches make questionable decisions, the defense doesn’t make stops when they are needed most, the run offense doesn’t scare opponents and their quarterbacks have let them down. Sorry to waste space and the time it takes you [...]

Lisa Nandy launches bid to 'root out' harassment in the TV industry after Gregg Wallace scandal By HARRIET LINE, DEPUTY POLITICAL EDITOR FOR THE DAILY MAIL Published: 22:02 GMT, 8 December 2024 | Updated: 22:37 GMT, 8 December 2024 e-mail 12 View comments The Culture Secretary will launch a bid to ‘root out’ harassment in the TV industry this week after the Gregg Wallace allegations engulfed the BBC . Lisa Nandy will discuss creating new codes of conduct for workers in the arts to address sexual harassment and power imbalances between stars and junior staff. She is considering imposing new industry standards, believing that the repeated scandals show bad behaviour is not being adequately addressed, the Sunday Times reported. Ms Nandy is expected to meet representatives from the Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority (CIISA) on Wednesday. The watchdog was set up to improve and uphold standards of behaviour and to prevent and tackle all forms of bullying and harassment. Ms Nandy is said to want to ‘get a grip’ on the issue, and will look at imposing new industry standards with a statutory footing to address sexual harassment. A government source said: ‘Lisa is committed to working with CIISA and the creative industries to tackle these issues.’ It comes after the BBC’s director-general, Tim Davie , and chief content officer, Charlotte Moore, said it was vital the industry is ‘not only committed to the highest standards of behaviour and conduct, but that is reflected in people’s experiences’. Lisa Nandy will launch a bid to root out harassment in the TV industry in the wake of the Gregg Wallace scandal, including introducing new codes of conducts for workers in the arts Greg Wallace apologised last week for claiming in an Instagram video that complaints about his behaviour came from ‘a handful of middle-class women of a certain age In a letter to staff, they said employees had their ‘total support in raising any issues around inappropriate behaviour at work, and we encourage anyone to speak up if you see anything that is not right’. ‘We know that speaking out takes courage; we want to assure you we will always listen and take your concerns seriously. We will follow up on any allegations that are presented to us in line with our established complaints and whistleblowing procedures.’ Wallace faces multiple complaints of inappropriate behaviour, originally from 13 people across a range of shows over a 17-year period, which production company Banijay UK has said it is taking ‘incredibly seriously’ amid an external investigation. The presenter apologised last week for claiming in an Instagram video that complaints about his behaviour came from ‘a handful of middle-class women of a certain age’, and added he would ‘take some time out’. The BBC has pulled two MasterChef celebrity Christmas specials from its schedule. A BBC source said: ‘The BBC is very supportive of steps to improve industry standards and will take a leadership role in doing so.’ The broadcaster has provided funding to CIISA, and is working with it to improve the experience for people working on productions, including freelancers. What is the technical outlook for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)? Can I buy now? Maneel ONGC (₹257): The stock has come down sharply from the high of ₹344.60 made in August this year. Support in the ₹250-₹240 region is holding well. However, resistances are at ₹270 and ₹290, which has to be broken to become bullish and clear the way for a rise to ₹430-₹450. On the charts, ONGC is still vulnerable to break ₹240 and fall to ₹220 and ₹210. The region between ₹220 and ₹210 will be a good level to enter the stock. So, if you intend to buy the stock wait for a fall and enter at ₹225 and ₹215. Keep a stop-loss at ₹175. Trail the stop-loss up to ₹240 as soon as the stock goes up to ₹290. Move the stop-loss up to ₹320 when the price touches ₹360. Exit at ₹430. I have shares of Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) bought at ₹79. What is the outlook? Kumar G IEX (₹176): The long-term outlook is very bullish for IEX. There is a huge rounding bottom formation on the chart. Strong support is in the ₹155-₹145 region which can halt the current fall. Resistance is around ₹245. We expect IEX to breach this resistance in the coming months. That break will have the potential to take IEX share price up to ₹370 over the long-term. However, this rally may take a long time, say at least two years. You will now have to protect your profit. Keep a stop-loss at ₹132 and hold the stock. You can even consider buying more at current levels. Move the stop-loss up to ₹220 when the price goes up to ₹270. Revise the stop-loss further up to ₹310 when the price touches ₹340. Exit the stock at ₹360. I have shares of MMTC purchased at ₹102. Should I continue to hold or exit? Reshma, Nagpur MMTC (₹78.60): The stock has declined sharply after spiking to ₹131.88 in July this year. The downside is still open to see ₹63 – an important support. To avoid this fall, the stock has to sustain above ₹72 and rise past ₹90. If that happens, a rise to ₹150 can be seen. Else the stock can fall to ₹63 and then rise back. If you cannot hold the stock for more time, then exit and accept the loss. On the other hand, if you can withstand more loss and accumulate on dips, then wait. Buy more at ₹65. Keep the stop-loss at ₹57. Move the stop-loss up to ₹78 as soon as the stock goes up to ₹93. Revise the stop-loss further up to ₹105 when the price touches ₹120. Exit the stock at ₹150. I bought Swan Energy at ₹262. Should I book profits now or continue to hold? Swadesh Majumdar Swan Energy (₹611): The stock has been very volatile since the beginning of this year. Support is in the ₹475-₹455 region. Below that ₹400 is the next strong support. In the short-term there are good chances to see a rise to ₹750. A break above ₹750 will be bullish to see a fresh rise to ₹1,100 over the long-term. But a reversal from ₹750 can drag the stock to ₹500 again. You can consider exiting 30 per cent of your holdings now. Keep a stop-loss at ₹420 for the rest of the holding. Move the stop-loss up to ₹680 when the price goes up to ₹730. Exit another 20 per cent at ₹750 and move the stop-loss up to ₹730 for the balance holdings. If the stock breaks above ₹750, hold the stock for ₹1,100. With Christmas right around the corner people are searching for gifts to give this year along with fun things to do with family and friends. When considering gifts, remember those that include the outdoors for all ages on your Christmas list. One of the best gifts to give your loved ones is access to all the scenic state parks and recreation areas that can be enjoyed all year long. For Nebraska residents a $36 park permit is a great and unique gift for families and friends you want to spend more time with and give the gift of the outdoors to. Nebraska’s parks can be utilized all year with a host of various activities including afternoon campfires around a fire ring for smores and hot chocolate, fishing and ice fishing, hiking, biking, bird and animal viewing, photographing beautiful sunrises and sunsets, snowshoeing and much more. For $3 a month, a park permit is a great value with endless outdoor possibilities. Great gift ideas to stuff a loved-one’s stocking with include a 2025 Nebraska hunting and fishing permit, habitat stamps and state and federal waterfowl stamps. Hunters and anglers will need new permits after Dec. 31 of this year. Keep in mind when purchasing hunting and fishing permits, you will need to know birthdates, height, weight eye and hair color and the last four digits of the person’s social security number. Permits are available online at outdoornebraska.gov at Game and Parks permitting offices and local vendors. Experience the beauty of Nebraska all year long with a special holiday offer from Nebraskaland Magazine where you can read articles by me and other talented writers and photographers. Get a one-, two- or three-year subscription plus a 2025 Nebraskaland calendar for a special holiday rate. Visit OutdoorNebraska.gov and search “Nebraskaland Magazine” for more gift-giving ideas. These “bucks” may be used to purchase permits, camping, shooting range activities and more. Game and Parks “Bucks” need to be purchased at Game and Parks district offices. Picking an outdoor gift is simple and inexpensive and are items that everyone that goes outdoors are sure to need and use. Some of these gifts include binoculars, gloves, hand warmers, hats, neck gators, face shields and socks. Outdoor journals, pocket gun cleaning kits, dry bags, folding shovels, gun cases, hydration packs for hikers, a shell and bird belt, two-way radios, portable or solar chargers, ice fishing equipment, gear bags. Don’t forget the snacks, jerky and trail mix are tasty and reasonably priced gifts for outdoor enthusiasts. Other affordable stocking stuffers like duck, goose and deer calls, shooting sticks, gas cards, earmuffs, fillet knives, pocket-size knife sharpeners, flashlights, head lamps, light weight glove liners, gun slings and gifts cards from a favorite outdoor store are a sure bet. For the hard-to-buy-for person or family, consider an experience gift. Outdoor enthusiasts might love a chance to spend the day hiking or fishing at a beautiful park where you can purchase their lodging or camping fees, tubing, tanking or kayaking trips and trail rides at parks that provide that service. With all the beautiful state parks we have in our state, why not give the gift of a park permit, or pay for a weekend at a park with cabins for your outdoor enthusiasts to stay in. Fort Robinson, Medicine Creek, Ponca, Mahoney and Niobrara State Parks are a few parks with cabins to stay in with many other activities to do year-round. Passes to the Venture Park at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park, Platte River State Park, Schramm Park State Recreation Area and Louisville State Recreation Area would make great gifts for couples and families alike. With glamping cabins, kayaking, the Go Ape ropes course, floating playground and much more, these places would be the perfect gift for making lasting memories. There are many creative gifts that parents or grandparents can put together that young outdoor enthusiasts will love. For young anglers, fishing rods and a loaded tackle box will give young anglers hours of outdoor fun fishing. Any youngster would love to have a starter bow and arrow kit, then head out to the public archery range at Buffalo Bill Ranch State Recreation Area in North Platte to practice archery shooting. Small tents, headlamps and sleeping bags make great gifts. Kids can set up a small tent indoors, camp at home in the yard or have their own tent on family camping outings. Camping hammocks are another way to camp and bring loads of fun for kids. Let your up-and-coming turkey or waterfowl hunter make some noise with turkey or waterfowl calls. Books on rocks and minerals are great for those little rock-hounds that love picking up and looking at pretty rocks when they are exploring outside. Bug kits and bug books, ant farms and small hand nets make great kids gifts along with bird, butterfly, bat and bee house building kits. Get local news delivered to your inbox!
