The ceremony concluded with the presentation of a lifetime Boca Woods Country Club Membership accepted by Rees Jones . The outcome of this extensive renovation: a formidable championship golf course, meticulously designed by the renowned Rees Jones and delivered through the craftsmanship of LaBar Golf. Stretching to a maximum yardage of 7,043 yards, the course boasts key risk/reward decisions for the experienced golfer while offering better playable options for those less experienced. " Bryce Swanson and I are pleased that the Woods Course at Boca Woods is reopening on time and on budget. The redesign of the golf course enhances the course's playability, strategy, and variety. The remodeled golf course will provide an enjoyable and thought-provoking experience for the Members and their guests on a continuing basis. It has been a pleasure to work with all involved in this project," said Rees Jones . This renovation is particularly significant due to Boca Woods' unique position in the golfing world. Rees has left his mark on Boca Woods, and the Club's future is bright!" Central to the course's allure is the masterful touch of Rees Jones , whose design philosophy seamlessly integrates the natural beauty of the surroundings with the strategic demands of the game. The result is a golfing experience that is both visually captivating and intellectually stimulating. "The Rees Jones' update to our Woods Course is inspirational. Coupled with renovations designed by Kipp Schulties on the Lakes Course, we offer a small community of players a wide range of golfing opportunities. As President of Boca Woods, I am proud of what we accomplished and the time frame we worked within. Aston Villa had a stoppage-time goal disallowed as they drew 0-0 with Juventus in the Champions League. Morgan Rogers looked to have given Unai Emery’s side another famous win when he slammed a loose ball home at the death, but referee Jesus Gil Manzano ruled Diego Carlos to have fouled Juve goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio and the goal was chalked off. It was a disappointment for Villa, who remain unbeaten at home in their debut Champions League campaign and are still in contention to qualify automatically for the last 16. A very controversial finish at Villa Park 😲 Morgan Rogers' late goal is ruled out for a foul on Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio and the match ends 0-0 ❌ 📺 @tntsports & @discoveryplusUK pic.twitter.com/MyYL5Vdy3r — Football on TNT Sports (@footballontnt) November 27, 2024 Emiliano Martinez had earlier displayed why he was named the best goalkeeper in the world as his wonder save kept his side level in the second half. The Argentina international paraded his two Yashin Trophies on the pitch before kick-off at Villa Park and then showed why he won back-to-back FIFA awards when he denied Francisco Conceicao. Before Rogers’ moment of drama in the fourth minute of added time, the closest Villa came to scoring was in the first half when Lucas Digne’s free-kick hit the crossbar. But a draw was a fair result which leaves Villa out of the top eight on goal difference and Juventus down in 19th. Before the game Emery called Juventus one of the “best teams in the world, historically and now”, but this was an Italian side down to the bare bones. Only 14 outfield players made the trip from Turin, with striker Dusan Vlahovic among those who stayed behind. The opening 30 minutes were forgettable before the game opened up. Ollie Watkins, still chasing his first Champions League goal, had Villa’s first presentable chance as he lashed an effort straight at Di Gregorio. Matty Cash then had a vicious effort from the resulting corner which was blocked by Federico Gatti and started a counter-attack which ended in Juventus striker Timothy Weah. Villa came closest to breaking the deadlock at the end of the first half when Digne’s 20-yard free-kick clipped the top of the crossbar and went over. Martinez then produced his brilliant save just after the hour. A corner made its way through to the far post where Conceicao was primed to head in at the far post, but Martinez sprawled himself across goal to scoop the ball away. How has he kept that one out?! 🤯 Emi Martinez with an INCREDIBLE save to keep it goalless at Villa Park ⛔️ 📺 @tntsports & @discoveryplusUK pic.twitter.com/OkcWHB7YIk — Football on TNT Sports (@footballontnt) November 27, 2024 Replays showed most of the ball went over the line, but the Argentinian got there with millimetres to spare. At the other end another fine goal-line block denied John McGinn as Manuel Locatelli got his foot in the way with Di Gregorio beaten. The game looked to be petering out until a last-gasp free-kick saw Rogers slam home, but whistle-happy official Gil Manzano halted the celebrations by ruling the goal out.

Worth the money because it lasts a long time.” However, not all the reviews are sparkling; some users have experienced less than ideal results, with one customer noting, "Unfortunately, I did notice that my skin felt a bit dry after using this shower gel. Despite its luxurious feel, it seemed to strip away some natural oils from my skin, which was a disappointment," according to a four-star critique. The spirit of giving falls to this time of year. We are thankful for what we do have in November and in December we look forward to giving to others. One of the ways a person can give back to others is to donate to non-profit organizations. In this article, I will discuss what to look for in a non-profit or charitable organization and next month I will discuss some of my favorite organizations and why. First, look for an organization that supports your ideals or purpose. For example, the America Red Cross, which is known for blood donations and helping during a disaster. Have you or a loved one been touched by a disaster? This might resonate with you. So, to help you understand how a charitable organization works, first we need to know what type of organization it is. The most commonly talked about are 501(c)3. However, according to donorbox.org there are thirty-two different types of tax-exempt organizations that have significant impact on our community. A nonprofit is a legal entity that is created and operated for a collective, public, or social benefit. If a corporation has applied for and has been accepted by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 status, then the deductions are tax deductible. The most common as I said was 501(c)3 which, by definition, is a religious, charitable, scientific testing for public safety, literary, educational, fostering national or international amateur sports competitions, and preventing cruelty to children or animals. They must file 990 (type) tax returns each year. This is one area the IRS is going to look closely at in the next year and hold managing directors responsible for aligning with the rules that grant exemption from tax. The information must be disclosed to the Internal Revenue Service and be made available to the public. It must have financial transparency with the 990s and the annual reports. It should have a mission statement and be visible to all. Also, a list of board members and paid employees. The best way to analyze an organization is to look at some common variables. What is the percentage of administrative expenses? This would include the highest paid employees. For a nonprofit, the administrative expenses should not be any more than 20 percent. Figuring as well how much does it cost to raise $100. There are some great charity websites out there that will provide you with the information. Pro Publica has a great website where you can search the larger organizations. So, the take aways for the Red Cross is that the officers collectively have a salary of $859,260. It has $3.22 billion in revenue and the administrative expenses are 2 percent of that revenue. For more information, donorbox.org and https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/ (Pro Publica) are great resources.Which supermarket sells the best bottle of red wine? Succeeding this year’s selection of a semi-optimistic Peach Fuzz, Mocha Mousse is exactly what it says it is — a light, sweet, creamy brown with a warm undertone. This is the first time Pantone has chosen a shade of brown for the distinction, not counting the earthy reddish-brown Marsala of 2015. As it tends to happen with matters of personal taste, Pantone’s Color of the Year (and occasional tandem picks) has been contentious since its inception in 2000, even sparking an online conspiracy theory about the selection process last year. Today alone, people have been coming out in droves to express their deep-seated hatred for or utter confusion about Mocha Mousse in various comments sections . USA Today even insinuated that Brat green had been snubbed in favor if the more “demure” milk chocolate tone. Pantone maintains that it selects the annual color based on world events, attitudes, and trends. This year, the institute’s Executive Director Leatrice Eiseman explained in a press statement that Mocha Mousse “expresses a level of thoughtful indulgence,” calling the color “sophisticated and lush” as well as an “unpretentious classic.” Get the latest art news, reviews and opinions from Hyperallergic. Daily Weekly Opportunities I’m not one for following trends in luxury goods, fashion, cosmetics, or home goods by any means, so I can’t really opine on how Mocha Mousse is slated to impact the consumer market in any way whatsoever — nor do I really care that much in the first place. I do, however, find it a bit odd if not side-eye worthy that so many people can’t fathom looking at a shade of brown without likening it to poop. In my mind’s eye, Mocha Mousse brings about the softness of a plush teddybear. A silky, creamy Dunkin’ hot chocolate (born and bred Masshole here). A velvety suede on a favored pair of boots. The frothy frosting that fuses layers of chocolate cake together. The mushy organic clay taken from riverbanks to siphon impurities from our skin in face masks. The highlights on the fuzzy feathers of beloved Kiwi birds. And quite frankly, Mocha Mousse runs a little bit more personal for me as both a color and a name. Since I have the opportunity to pontificate in my own thinkpiece, I’ll say that I’ve been wearing foundations, eyeshadows, concealers, lipsticks, and even nail polishes in similar shades of “Mocha,” “Chocolate,” “Cocoa,” “Cappuccino,” and other decadent drink or dessert titles for over a decade now. Those are the titles cosmetic brands have assigned to my skin color and the shades closest to it. I’m well-aware of the politics of objectification , fetishization , and consumption that surround these names, but if I have to be objectified, I much prefer being likened to a sweet treat over having my skin tone called “shit brown,” “diarrhea brown,” or “dirt” — all of which I’ve been faced with throughout my life. Dirt or excrement might be brown, but not all browns can be compared to dirt or excrement. Urine is (hopefully) yellow, but do you point at a buttercup or taxicab and wrinkle your nose? Blood and scabs are red ... Hell, Pantone even developed its own “ Period Red ” (it’s just plain red) in acknowledgement of the stigma surrounding menstruation. But do you look at red velvet cake or rose petals and shudder a little bit? I get that it’s not that serious, but I am always unfortunately attuned to the manner in which people respond to the color brown being that I wake up and look in the mirror every day as a Perpetually Offended Brown PersonTM. The only thing I find egregious about this year’s color campaign is the supporting AI-generated imagery for Mocha Mousse, which is inexplicably but profoundly sinister in a way I cannot easily find words for. I guess you could say I just don’t like that shit ... 🤷🏾‍♀️ We hope you enjoyed this article! NoneCOLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Amazon Web Services will invest another $10 billion to bolster its data center infrastructure in Ohio. The company and Republican Gov. Mike DeWine announced the plan Monday. The new investment will boost the amount it has committed to spending in Ohio by the end of 2029 to more than $23 billion. AWS launched its first data centers in the state in 2016 and currently operates campuses in two counties in central Ohio, home to the capital city of Columbus. The new investment will allow AWS to expand its data centers to new sites, but the company said those locations have not been determined yet and noted that its investment plans are contingent upon the execution of long-term energy service agreements. AWS said the new data centers will contain computer servers, storage drives, networking equipment and other forms of technology infrastructure used to power cloud computing, including artificial intelligence and machine learning. In June 2023, AWS said it would invest $7.8 billion by the end of 2029 to expand its data center operations in central Ohio. That was on top of $6 billion already invested through 2022.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Saints quarterback Derek Carr was willing to risk his health to improve New Orleans’ chances of playing meaningful football in mid-December. Now the Saints, who’ve remained mathematically alive in the playoff race by winning three of four, might have to play without Carr again — and it didn’t go well the last time. Saints interim coach Darren Rizzi declined on Monday to rule out Carr for any of New Orleans' final four games because of his injured non-throwing hand or his concussion . Both injuries occurred when he tried to leap for a first down and crashed hard to the turf during the fourth quarter of New Orleans' 14-11 victory over the reeling New York Giants on Sunday. “We’re not going to rule him out just yet,” Rizzi said. “We have to see in the next day or two what the healing process is like and see if he can function. “The good news it’s not his throwing hand,” Rizzi said. “The bad news is we’re obviously dealing with an injury here that we have to kind of play it by ear.” Rizzi noted that Carr must clear the concussion protocol first. After that, he said, the Saints can see how well Carr can operate with his hand injury. “It's been done before,” Rizzi said when asked about the prospect of an NFL QB playing with an injured non-throwing hand. “It appears at moment that it's non-surgical, which is a big aspect of it. ... That's why we're going to discuss the options.” Last season, Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert played with a fractured finger on his non-throwing hand . Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen has played part of this season with an injured non-throwing hand . If Carr can't play, his replacement will be either second-year pro Jake Haener or rookie Spencer Rattler. Rattler started three games earlier this season when Carr had an oblique injury — all losses by New Orleans, which was in the midst of a seven-game skid. “We've just got to surround whomever it is and pick him up and get him rolling with the rest of us,” guard Lucas Patrick said. “It's just another step of adversity in this long season that we’ve had.” What’s working New Orleans' interior defensive line is coming off one of its better games. Defensive tackles Bryan Bresee and Khalen Saunders accounted for both New Orleans' sacks in New York. The Saints also held the Giants to 112 yards rushing — a lower opponent rushing total than in seven other games this season. What needs help The Saints' 92 yards rushing offensively was their fourth-lowest total all season and the lowest in any of their victories. Stock up Running back Kendre Miller's future is looking a bit brighter now. He has played in just three games this season because of hamstring injuries and his lack of readiness was criticized by since-fired coach Dennis Allen earlier this season. Miller also has yet to rush for more than 36 yards in a game. But against the Giants, he earned praise for the speed, strength and elusiveness he was able to show on a couple of clutch runs, including an 8-yard run for his first and only touchdown this season. Patrick said Miller deserved credit on his scoring run for staying upright and continuing to push forward — with the help of some teammates — after he was met at the 5-yard line by a Giants defender. Patrick said if Miller didn't give the extra effort and stay on his feet, his teammates would not have had the chance to help push him across the goal line. “Kendre's definitely a bright, young runner and he's exciting to block for,” Patrick said. Stock down Blake Grupe was 0 for 2 on field goal attempts, although both were from beyond 50 yards and one was blocked. Those were Grupe's first two failures from beyond 50 yards this season. Injuries In addition to Carr, reserve linebacker D’Marco Jackson left Sunday's game with an ankle injury. Key number 0 — The number of games the Saints have won when Carr does not play. They've gone 5-5 in his starts this season. Next steps The Saints are back home Sunday against Washington in what could be ex-New Orleans cornerback Marshon Lattimore's first game with the Commanders. The game also marks the return to Louisiana of quarterback Jayden Daniels, who won the Heisman Troply last year at LSU. ___ AP NFL: https://apnews.com/hub/nfl Brett Martel, The Associated Press
