LISBON, Portugal (AFP)— Mikel Arteta said Arsenal delivered a Champions League statement of intent with their 5-1 demolition of Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday. Arteta had demanded a dynamic display from his team ahead of their trip to the Jose Alvalade stadium and they responded in style. Goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Magalhaes, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard lifted the Gunners into seventh place in the revamped Champions League as they chase a place in the last 16. It was Arsenal’s biggest away win in the Champions League since Arsene Wenger’s men thrashed Inter Milan by the same scoreline in 2003. “I’m very happy. It’s a big result against a big opponent. We wanted to make that statement,” Arteta said. “I felt really good energy and belief before the match. The first half was exceptional, you have to put it into practice. “We were really clever, really intelligent and really efficient. “After we conceded, we showed a lot of personality to bring the game back. Then we scored the fourth goal and that’s when the game changed again.” Ending Sporting’s 18-game unbeaten start to the season in all competitions, just weeks after the Portuguese champions had crushed Manchester City 4-1 in Lisbon, served notice that Arsenal are back on track following a damaging slump. The Gunners have fallen nine points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, but last weekend’s 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest was the first sign of a revival that gathered pace against Sporting. While Arsenal will still need a huge surge to win their first English title since 2004, Arteta can take heart from a dynamic display he rated as their best away-day in Europe since he took charge five years ago. “For sure, especially against opposition we played at their home, who have not lost a game in 18 months, so to play with the level, the purpose and the fluidity we showed today, I am very pleased,” said Arteta. “The team played with so much courage, because they are so good. When I’m watching them live they are so good. “The performance was there a few times when we have played big teams. That’s the level that we have to be able to cope and you have to make it happen, and that creates belief.” Urging Arsenal to replicate the passion and intensity they showed against Sporting as they look to win the Champions League for the first time, Arteta added: “When you play in this competition against these team you have to enjoy it. “What I loved about this team is the way that they flowed. They played with purpose. If you want to be challenging for big trophies you have to be consistent.” Martin Odegaard didn’t get on the scoresheet but the Gunners captain — back to his best after a lengthy injury absence — was a key figure with his astute passing, high-tempo pressing and clever movement. Saka admitted Odegaard was sorely missed after the midfielder suffered an ankle problem on international duty with Norway in September. “He’s an unbelievable player. The day he returned, there was a big smile on my face,” Saka said. “You can see the chemistry we have. I hope he stays fit for the rest of the season.” Saka was equally significant in Arsenal’s rampage in Lisbon, linking with Odegaard time and again to torment the overwhelmed Sporting defence. “This is where we belong. We’ve shown the level we can play at,” Saka said. “Everyone was top, I’m really proud of all the boys.”
La Salle defeats Temple 83-75The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has raised the limit for lending collateral-free agri loans to farmers from Rs 1.6 lakh to Rs 2 lakh, the regulations of which will come into effect from January 1, 2025. Considering rising input costs and inflation, the RBI has been raising the limit for disbursing collateral-free agricultural loans since. The collateral-free agricultural loan limit was Rs 10,000 in 2004. Currently, it is at Rs 1.6 lakh which will increase to Rs 2 lakh from January. As per their mandate, banks are not supposed to seek collateral for agricultural loans for the loan limits set by it. However, there have been claims otherwise. This has resulted in many farmers taking hand loans from private individuals at higher interest rates. To support small and marginal farmers who form 86% of the farmers in the country, the Union ministry of agriculture and farmers’ welfare has sought more contributions from the RBI in the form of collateral-free loans. The ministry has informed the RBI to implement the new regulations swiftly and spread awareness among the farmers about the increased loan limit. The collateral-free agricultural loans could be availed by farmers to purchase seeds and other agricultural inputs, to grow vegetables and other horticultural crops, to raise poultry dairy and other livestock, and for building godowns to store their produce.
2024 has been an insane year for laptop reviews. I’ve used more laptops this year than I ever have before, and it’s been a great thing. With new chips from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm, the choices are better than ever. To round out 2024, I took the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition for a spin and in my opinion, Lenovo has been at the top of its game this year. The company has been pumping out some very awesome laptops this year, and the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition is grasping to be as good as its brothers. Estimated reading time: 16 minutes Lenovo has been known to run head on into new ideas and sometimes things work, other times, they don’t. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition has some neat features and specs, but sort of feels a little flatter and less inspiring as some of Lenovo’s other 2024 offerings. That doesn’t make it a bad laptop, it’s just underwhelming compared to what the company has done with a few others of its models. I would add, having come off a bunch of laptop reviews (including Lenovo), it was a bit difficult to approach this one without making comparisons. Go test one out for yourself and read other reviews because you may actually love it and find it to be precisely what you want. Let’s get into the full review of the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition. The Quick Take When I first saw the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition at IFA 2024, I was optimistic. The units on display were not the production units, and I was hoping the production units might come more polished. Hear me out. I don’t dislike the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, it’s a very nice Yoga laptop. But I wanted this laptop to be something special. Given that the Aura features are exclusive to Lenovo I was expecting maybe a different design or color. The Lenovo Luna Grey is fine, but it looks like every other Yoga laptop and there is nothing to show that it’s special. The startup screen also looks generic, and it’s the only place where you see this is an Aura Edition. This laptop is fine, the features are cool and useful, and its specs are fine. Here’s what I like and didn’t like: Things I liked: Premium build quality, nice materials used, it looks like a Yoga laptop 100% Amazing display, Lenovo is still slapping great displays in their machines. Comfortable keyboard, has some sort of coating on the keys, I didn’t mind it Decent Dolby Atmos speakers, not fantastic, but better than most The camera is decent, a little soft, but at least 1080p The Aura features are great, I just wish the design reflected this laptop is something different and special. Good port selection for slim design Things I disliked: Battery life could be better The design (while nice and premium) should be different to show this has the Aura features, it doesn’t stand apart from its siblings. Bloatware, easy to remove, but please, no more bloatware The Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition is a fine Yoga laptop. But I would buy the Yoga Slim 7x over this laptop in a heartbeat. It’s more unique in design and color, has way better battery life, and is lighter and more portable. But remember, I am being very colored by all of these laptop experiences I’ve had throughout 2024. Honestly, most users are going to love this laptop. I’m just a snobby reviewer who gets to use more laptops in a year than most people use in a lifetime. Specifications The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition has the following features and specifications: Operating system: Windows 11 Pro Processor: Intel® CoreTM Ultra 7 256V Processor (E-cores up to 3.70 GHz P-cores up to 4.80 GHz with Turbo Boost, 8 Cores, 8 Threads, 12 MB Cache) Graphics: Integrated Intel® ArcTM Graphics Memory: 16GB LPDDR5X, 8533MHz Internal drive: 1TB M.2 PCIe SSD Gen4 Display: 15.3′′ 2.8K (2880 x 1800) LCD, 120Hz, 16:10, 500 nits, 100%P3, TÜV Low Blue Light Certification, Eyesafe® Certification, touchscreen External I/O Ports: 2 x USB-C ® (Thunderbolt 4, USB 40Gbps, DisplayPort, power delivery) USB-A (hi-speed USB) HDMI 2.1 (supports resolution up to 4K@60Hz) Audio combo jack Audio Features: 4 x 2W speakers Dolby Atmos ® 4 x microphones Webcam: FHD Webcam IR Camera + TOF Electronic camera shutter Keyboard: 1.5mm travel + 0.3mm dish keyboard, backlit Pointing device: Clickpad with multitouch gesture support Wireless technology: Wi-Fi 7 802.11BE (2 x 2) Bluetooth ® 5.4 Battery: 70Whr Rapid Charge Express Dimensions (H × W × D): 13.9–15.2mm x 343.8mm x 235.4mm / 0.55–0.6′′ x 13.53′′ x 9.27′′ Weight: Starting at 1.46kg / 3.2lbs Color: Luna Grey What’s In The Box Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition (15′′ Intel) 65Whr AC Adapter Internal Battery Quick Start Guide Design I’ve already said it in my intro and quick take. I wish the design, look, and feel of the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition was more unique. That said, again. Lenovo does really make great-looking laptops, and they’ve improved even more over 2024. So, I don’t have any major gripes about the design, only that I wish that Lenovo had made this more special with maybe different design cues showing off its Aura name. Okay, let’s move on. The bottom of the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition looks like most other Yoga laptops. An ample venting grille paired with one long rubber foot and two smaller ones. There are five screws holding the bottom plate on, and there are two speaker grilles near the front corners. But something new on Lenovo laptops, I’ve noticed. One big warning sticker about swallowing batteries and a carbon-neutral sticker. Both look awful and ruin the look of the laptop. The top of the laptop has the new Lenovo branding on it, which I do really like. It’s simple, and the font is modern and sleek. It keeps the same design as all other Yogas, on the top as well. The lid does fold flat, but it does not flip to become a tablet, this is not a 360. Port selection is actually not bad for such a small and slim laptop. Along the left side, you have an HDMI port, USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 port, and headphone/mic jack. Along the right side is a USB-A port, another USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 port, the power button, and the camera cover button. The power button is oddly placed here, I would have preferred it on the deck. But not a huge deal. Opening up the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, you’re greeted with the ample 15.3′′ 2.8K LCD display, which is great. The slight notch at the top is great for helping to open the laptop, it’s the same on most Yoga devices. The deck has the normal Yoga branding and PureSight branding for the display. Intel stickers are there, of course. The keyboard is great, Lenovo makes some of the best keyboards for laptops. This one has a coating on the keys that some reviewers didn’t like. I didn’t mind it. They’re right, that it does make the keyboard feel different from other Yoga laptops, but it was fine to me. The trackpad is the diving board style, not my favorite. But I will say that it is bigger and better than the Slim 7x. There are two speaker grilles on the top as well, these give a bit of a nice design cue to the deck. Overall, the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition design is basically a Yoga laptop. It really looks great, it has premium materials, and a great build. My only beef is, it doesn’t stand out from the other Yoga laptops and since this is an Aura Edition, it really should have. Even a unique colorway would have been a nice change. Display The Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition comes with a fantastic 2.8K display. This one isn’t OLED like the Slim 7x, but it’s a very nice LCD. The brightness on this display is impressive! Brightness is a key factor for me on any laptop. If the display is too dim, I won’t like it. The Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition uses LCD technology so it tends to do better than the Slim 7x OLED, in terms of brightness. This is a very nice and bright display. The colors on this display are not as vibrant as an OLED but they are actually more natural, which is not a bad thing. The whites are clean and crisp and the text is effortless to read. Watching content on this display is a joy, and editing photos and video is equally remarkable. The display is also PureSight Pro Certified meaning, it has Delta E

Speaking in Lok Sabha during the discussion on the 'Glorious Journey of 75 Years of the Constitution of India', the Prime Minister said during the previous government, "we saw India being defamed in the world through headlines". "Several times, there was power in one part of the country but it was not supplied. So, there was pitch dark in the other part. During the previous government, we saw India being defamed before the world through headlines. We have seen those days. That is why, with the mantra of unity and upholding the sense of the Constitution, we fulfilled One Nation One Grid. That is why, today there is uninterrupted power supply in all corners of India," he said. The Prime Minister said that the success of Digital India has helped democratise technology. "Era has changed. We do not want haves and haves not a situation in the digital sector. That is why, we proudly say that the reason behind Digital India success story is that we tried to democratise technology," he said. The Prime Minister said the achievement of 75 years is not ordinary, it is extraordinary. "India's Constitution has brought us here by defeating the possibilities that were expressed for India at the time when the country attained independence. For this great achievement, besides the drafters of the Constitution, I would like to respectfully bow before the crores of people of India - they lived this new system...Citizens of India deserve all the praise," he said. "For all of us, for all citizens and all democracy-loving citizens across the world, this is a moment of great pride," he added. The two-day debate on 75 years of the Constitution started in Lok Sabha on Friday. (Except for the headline, this story has not been edited by NDTV staff and is published from a syndicated feed.)

As the ongoing Canada Post workers' strike continues to shut down mail delivery, there are questions about those photo radar tickets issued on Ottawa streets and what it means for speeders. "The tickets will go out when delivery comes back, but we're monitoring it very closely," said Beacon Hill-Cyrville Coun. Tim Tierney, chair of the city's Transportation Committee. Right now, speeders have a 23-day window to pay, but Tierney says he's confident the province will adjust its timing. "We're looking for the province to change some of the rules on the timing, but at the same time, we are still currently processing. So, I guess the message is please don't speed." It's just one of many impacts municipalities face as the strike continues for a 12th day. Municipalities like Smiths Falls, Ont. are getting creative, hand-delivering roughly 1,000 water bills to residents. Roger Stanley got his on Monday. "I kind of figured they likely would. I'm not a computer person so I don't go that route with my bills, I just call the bank and pay them right at home," said Stanley. Canada post says it's missed out on delivering roughly 10 million parcels as more than 55,000 workers across the country walk the picket lines. Back in Ottawa, the city says it is seeing a shift with more residents opting to pay utilities online. "It's good for the taxpayer because of course there's a big cost in sending those out. But I think, in general, people are just tired of the strikes continually and are switching to the electronic form," said Tierney. As for those photo radar tickets, they may be delayed now but, at some point, you'll have to pay. Shopping Trends The Shopping Trends team is independent of the journalists at CTV News. Angelina Jolie has taken a major step forward in her ongoing battle with Brad Pitt over their French winery Château Miraval, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm. A judge tentatively ruled on Monday, November 25, that Pitt, 60, must turn over documents and communications that Jolie, 49, claims will prove he covered up alleged domestic violence against her and their children. “We are gratified that the court ruled in Angelina’s favor,” Jolie’s attorney Paul Murphy exclusively told Us in a statement on Tuesday, November 26. “After Mr. Pitt fought for years to hide this crucial evidence, he must now produce documents and communications concerning abuse, lies to authorities, and years of cover-up. His actions harmed Angelina and their children and are central to this case.” Murphy noted that his client only wants what’s best for her and Pitt’s family. (The exes, who divorced in 2016, share six children .) “I want to again emphasize that Angelina never wanted any of this . She never pressed charges, she left all their properties, and she is the one who tried to sell him the business in the first place,” the attorney continued. “To this day, Mr. Pitt has never been held accountable for his actions and has at all times controlled Miraval and the winery, yet he still demands more.” The statement concluded: “She wants this to end, the children want this to end, and Mr. Pitt should focus on healing their family, not pursuing lawsuits . If he does not, Angelina will defend herself in court by presenting the evidence necessary to demonstrate that Pitt’s allegations are demonstrably false.” A source close to Pitt exclusively told Us on Tuesday that the ruling “is mostly irrelevant because he has provided so much information already.” Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lia Martin issued her tentative ruling on Monday after Jolie’s legal team argued that Pitt’s documents would prove her allegations that he tried to make her sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) that would have prevented her from speaking out about the alleged abuse so she could sell her half of their winery to Pitt. Jolie and Pitt have been in a legal battle since February 2022 , when Pitt filed a lawsuit against her claiming she illegally sold her shares of their French winery. Pitt claimed that he and Jolie previously agreed they could only sell their shares with each other’s approval. “Pitt and Jolie purchased the château as a home to share with their children and the vineyard as a family business,” the initial court documents read. “They agreed they would never sell their respective interests in Miraval without the other’s consent. The couple spent the holidays at Miraval with their children and were married there in 2014.” In July, Jolie filed court documents claiming that the actor tried to force her to sign an $8.5 million NDA to cover up “years of abuse.” Her legal team asked that the court compel Pitt to disclose “private, third-party communications” he had about their family’s 2016 plane ride that resulted in Jolie filing for divorce. Shortly before Jolie and Pitt called it quits in 2016 , their family made headlines when Pitt was accused of child abuse during a trip on their jet . Pitt was later cleared by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. Jolie argued in the July docs that she “was not acting with malice and the intent to hurt Pitt in response to any custody ruling” when she sold her share of Château Miraval in 2021. She claimed it was Pitt who “refused to buy her interest unless he received his newly expanded NDA,” she alleged in the filing, claiming that it was designed to “force her silence about his abuse and cover-up.” Pitt’s legal team previously responded to the July motion, calling the separate filing asking for his personal communications “wide-ranging and intrusive.” The judge’s latest ruling is a major blow to Pitt, who had put off releasing his correspondence for years. “This ruling is an enormous win for Angie and a disaster for Brad. This is, by far, the most impactful ruling in the case to date,” a source told Us on Tuesday. “All of this evidence is now fair game in discovery.” The insider explained that this case is “ Pitt’s doing , and he controls whether to resolve it.” The source alleged that the Oscar winner “clearly wants to keep controlling and hurting Angelina through this lawsuit, forcing her to relive the pain of the reasons for the separation and cover of abuse.” You have successfully subscribed. Us confirmed on November 15 that a judge upheld the ruling that there was an implied contract regarding shares in the holding company, and Pitt’s claims were valid on two counts of interference. The ruling came after Jolie previously asked the case to be thrown out . The trial date has yet to be set.
