Shahpar-3 capabilities Asad said the Shahpar-3, which he claimed was developed entirely indigenously by Pakistan over a course of just two years, boasts an impressive wingspan of 67 meters, and is capable of operating at altitudes above 35,000 feet for 30 hours at a range of 2,500 km. The Shahpar-3 drone has six hardpoints, and is capable of carrying a payload of around 500 kilos, including up to eight weapons, according to reports. Its clear that the Shahpar-3’s capabilities boasts highly impressive capabilities on paper, however, Pakistan’s lack of expertise and experience in developing UAVs, coupled with its documented dependence on allied nations like China, Russia, Iran, and Turkey, for UAV technologies, leaves a big question mark on the Shahpar’s real-world performance. Are the Shahpar-3’s claimed capabilities genuine? Despite Pakistan’s tall claims, the Shahpar-3 remains an untested entity, and its capabilities remains highly questionable due to various reasons. For example, Pakistan claim of the Shahpar-3 being able to operate at 35,000 feet with a 30-hour endurance, and carrying 500-kg payload, is a monumental one, because the country does not have history of independently developing sophisticated UAV technologies, that too in such a short span of time. Pakistan claims the Shahpar-3 drone was developed indigenously, which also raises eyebrows, as Islamabad has always relied on China for its UAV technologies, such as the CH-4 and Wing Loong drones. Pakistan also uses Turkey’s Baykar TB2 drone and other less advanced ones from China and Iran, who are proficient in UAV platforms. Additionally, Pakistan has not disclosed what kind of propulsion system is used in the Shahpar-III, which could be used to determine and validate its claimed capability of reaching an altitude of 35,000 feet and having an endurance period of 30 hours with a 2,500 km range, and a 500 kg payload carrying. What this means for India? Despite the doubtful claims, the Shahpar-3 could prove to be a true game-changer for Pakistan if it’s capabilities are indeed the same as advertised. Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray 16 medium muffin cups with nonstick baking spray. 2. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar, flour and cinnamon. 3. Separate the dough into 16 triangles. For each roll, dip 1 marshmallow into melted butter; roll in the sugar mixture. Place marshmallow on the shortest side of a triangle. Roll up, starting at shortest side and rolling to opposite point. Completely cover the marshmallow with the dough; firmly pinch edges to seal. Dip 1 end in remaining butter; place butter side down in muffin cup. 4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. 5. When done, remove from the oven and let the puffs cool in the pan for 1 minute. Remove rolls from muffin cups; place on cooling racks set over waxed paper. (AP) — Police arrested a 16-year-old student after he allegedly brought a gun to his high school in Kenosha, the second time in less than a month that someone has apparently tried to bring a firearm into one of the southeastern Wisconsin city's schools. Indian Trail High School and Academy's resource officer learned Monday that a photo of the student with a gun had been posted on social media, police said in a statement Wednesday. The student was located, escorted to an office, arrested and taken to the police department. Investigators later determined that the student had hidden a gun in a “sensitive area," making it difficult for officers to locate the weapon initially. NetEase Games released Marvel Rivals this week and it has already become one of the most popular multiplayer shooters on Steam of all time. With almost half a million players checking out the game, there's a lot to like in it but the reliance on Marvel IP and reiteration of popular hero shooter mechanics may not be everyone's cup of tea. Many games have inspired Rivals, so it's always interesting to return to the originals to see how time has treated them. Alternatively, other hero shooters and multiplayer games offer unique mechanics and lore you won't find in Marvel Rivals. If you love Marvel Rivals, check out these other multiplayer shooters. Team Fortress 2 Most hero shooters of today all take inspiration from Team Fortress 2, a game that's still running seventeen years strong. Valve's colorful action game has two teams duking it out to complete various objectives, with each team having different abilities. With over two decades under its belt, TF2 remains a highly entertaining, but focused shooter with nine specific characters and a very active player base. Overwatch Marvel Rivals has been directly compared to Overwatch on multiple occasions, and rightly so. The game is very clearly inspired by Overwatch's overall design, but there's enough distinction between the two for NetEase's game to stand out. Overwatch 2, which replaced the original game last year, has a bigger roster and is also free to play like Rivals. However, you won't find the impressive destructive physics of NetEase's game, and Overwatch is a first-person shooter, which completely changes how you interact with the game. Valorant Valorant is essentially Counter-Strike with hero shooter abilities, making it a far more tactical game than Marvel Rivals' frenetic action. Riot's shooter has characters with striking designs and abilities, which bring a new twist to the popular CS formula giving you more agency over your play style. Valorant's gameplay is a lot more competitive than your usual hero shooter, and you'll need to rely on clear communication with your teammates to win the match. Rogue Company Rogue Company is another free-to-play tactical hero shooter with multiple game modes and a more realistic art style than Rivals. More than any other game on this list, Rogue Company really focuses on the "shooter" aspect, with somewhat grounded movement, gadgets, and characters. What Rogue Company lacks in originality it makes up for in its varied game modes. It has been on the block for over four years, so there's plenty of content and it has carved out an identity for its own. SMITE 2 SMITE 2 is a third-person MOBA with over fifty powerful characters to choose from in a mythological setting. The 5v5 game takes every mistake from the original game and improves upon it, and features new assets and technology to hopefully last as long as the original SMITE, which is still going. However, SMITE 2 is also a highly competitive game, just like DOTA 2, and you'll want to prepare yourself before dipping your toes into it. Paladins Paladins is very similar to Overwatch but set in a most medieval fantasy-inspired world, with shooting that feels more similar to Halo. It's a pretty fun mix of gameplay styles that make it stand out in a sea of similar games. Players can customize their hero as much as they want, and there are almost five dozen characters to choose from. If you're tired of the overdesigned characters in Overwatch and Rivals, try out Paladins as its medieval, almost Fable-like designs may bring a sense of freshness to a tired genre. Paladins also includes a battle royale mode, which expands the compact hero shooter gameplay to expansive levels. Marvel's Midnight Suns Midnight Suns is what you get when you combine XCOM with superheroes. The more tactical encounters will take some time to get adjusted to after Rivals, but you end up with a far more strategic game with some new takes on iconic characters. Its XCOM-like gameplay also includes a deckbuilding element, making its combat system the most unique on this list. Deadlock Technically, Deadlock isn't out yet and Valve wants to pretend it doesn't exist, but the unannounced game has already crossed over 170,000 players at its peak. Deadlock is a third-person MOBA with gameplay that's not dissimilar from DOTA 2. Set in a steampunk world, Deadlock combines the fast-paced action of Rivals with the strategic team-play required in MOBAs. With classic four-lane maps and innovative character abilities, Deadlock is already shaping up to become a classic. Valve has yet to announce the game's official public release date, but you can get into it by getting an invite to its playtests. Concord Oh Concord, rest your soul. Concord was PlayStation's ambitious triple-A hero shooter that never lived long enough to amass a large player base. Maybe it's because Marvel Rivals attracted over twenty times the players Concord got during their concurrent betas. Concord was also pulling elements from Overwatch with its hero classes and first-person action, but set in a new sci-fi universe (much like Guardians of the Galaxy) with plenty of storytelling potential. It wasn't a free game, but its post-launch model showed some promise with free content and relaxed microtransactions. Unfortunately, players simply weren't interested in giving it a chance, perhaps rightly so. Rivals is just one of the many other highly anticipated games coming out in December , with games like Path of Exile 2 , My First Gran Turismo , and Indiana Jones releasing in the same week . Their mom has spoken often about the batches of holiday crescent rolls she has baked over the years. Based on the recipe that won the 1969 Pillsbury Bake-Off, Pillsbury’s Magic Marshmallow Crescent Puffs , they’re now known as Mama Kelce’s Dinner Rolls. They blend the crescent roll pastry with marshmallows, cinnamon and sugar. Dinner roll or dessert? We bet they didn’t last long enough in front of Travis and Jason for that debate. Ingredients Rolls •1/4 cup granulated sugar •2 tablespoons Pillsbury Best all-purpose flour •1 teaspoon ground cinnamon •2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count) •16 large marshmallows •1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted Glaze •1/2 cup powdered sugar •1/2 teaspoon vanilla •2-3 teaspoons milk •1/4 cup chopped nuts Directions Make the rolls 1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray 16 medium muffin cups with nonstick baking spray. 2. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar, flour and cinnamon. 3. Separate the dough into 16 triangles. For each roll, dip 1 marshmallow into melted butter; roll in the sugar mixture. Place marshmallow on the shortest side of a triangle. Roll up, starting at shortest side and rolling to opposite point. Completely cover the marshmallow with the dough; firmly pinch edges to seal. Dip 1 end in remaining butter; place butter side down in muffin cup. 4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. 5. When done, remove from the oven and let the puffs cool in the pan for 1 minute. Remove rolls from muffin cups; place on cooling racks set over waxed paper. Make the glaze and assemble In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, vanilla and enough milk for desired drizzling consistency. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls. Sprinkle with nuts. Serve warm. Ingredients •1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved •1 pound butternut squash, peeled and cut into bite-size cubes •1 tablespoon olive oil •1/2 teaspoon garlic powder •1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves •1/2 teaspoon salt •1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper •5 slices bacon, chopped •1 shallot, finely chopped •1/2 cup dried cranberries •1/4 cup balsamic vinegar •1 teaspoon whole grain mustard •1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted (optional) •1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese, (optional) Directions 1. Preheat oven to 475°F. Spray large shallow baking pan with no stick cooking spray; set aside. Place Brussels sprouts and squash in large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, thyme, salt and pepper; toss to coat evenly. Spread in single layer on prepared pan. 2. Roast 16 to 18 minutes or until tender and lightly browned, stirring halfway through cooking. 3. Meanwhile, cook bacon in medium skillet on medium heat about 6 minutes or until crispy. Remove using slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain. Add shallot to same skillet; cook and stir 2 minutes until softened and lightly browned. Stir in cranberries, vinegar and mustard until well blended. Transfer mixture to small bowl; set aside. 4. Arrange roasted Brussels sprouts and squash on serving platter. Remove from oven, crumble. Bake 5 minutes or until golden brown. 3. Melt remaining 8 oz butter. Remove skin from cooled sweet potatoes. In a large bowl, whisk sweet potatoes, melted butter, granulated sugar and remaining ingredients until slightly lumpy. Transfer to a greased baking dish, smoothing surface evenly. Top with oat mixture. Bake 12 minutes or until heated through. Make-ahead tips •Sweet potato filling can be made up to 2 days in advance. Prepare the sweet potato filling, cool, place in a casserole dish and keep refrigerated. •Oat-pecan crust can also be made up to 2 days ahead. Amazon Web Services announced this week new design components that aim to simplify mechanical systems and the electrical distribution in its network of data centers that serve as a backbone for the internet in a digital age. It says the changes will reduce the number of racks that can be affected by electrical issues by 89% and result in infrastructure availability of 99.9999%. “As more customers migrate to the cloud and integrate AI into their businesses, we will continue to innovate to support that demand," Amazon Web Services Vice President of Data Center Planning and Delivery Kerry Person said. "We’re committed to continuously optimizing the design and operations of our data centers worldwide to enable innovation and increase energy efficiency. Many of these new technologies can be immediately deployed into data centers under construction, integrated into new building designs, and even retrofitted into existing facilities.” Amazon Web Services expects to employ 1,000 people at the massive data center just east of LaPorte County, supporting an estimated 3,000 jobs. It's the largest private sector investment in state history, nearly tripling the $4.2 billion BP Whiting modernization project. The Seattle-based company said it came up with cooling, rack design and control systems that will result in 12% more computing power. Amazon Web Services has been building large data centers for 18 years. It's provided servers for AI for 13 years and is investing in new data center capacity because of the growing number of customers using artificial intelligence and machine learning services. More energy-efficient designs will result in a 46% decrease in mechanical energy consumption and a 35% reduction in the embodied carbon in the concrete used in construction, AWS said. “Data centers must evolve to meet AI’s transformative demands,” said Ian Buck, vice president of hyperscale and HPC at NVIDIA, an Amazon Web Services business partner. “By enabling advanced liquid cooling solutions, AI infrastructure can be efficiently cooled while minimizing energy use.
