David Woiwod has been named as the successor of Matt Doran as the co-host of Weekend Sunrise . The seasoned broadcaster, who returned from the US this week where he has been based for the past five years as 7NEWS US bureau chief. From Saturday, he will sit alongside Monique Wright . Woiwod was Sunrise’s resident Melbourne reporter for four years before his stint in the 7NEWS Los Angeles bureau. The Morris County Republican was among several state and local lawmakers who met with state police and Homeland Security officials to discuss the spate of sightings that range from the New York City area through New Jersey, westward into parts of Pennsylvania, including over Philadelphia. The devices do not appear to be being flown by hobbyists, Fantasia wrote. Dozens of mysterious nighttime flights started last month and have raised growing concern among residents and officials.
