what color to bet on roulette NoneVideo: Jiri Prochazka's latest UFC 311 training footage is on brandChicago forward Torrey Craig crashed into a camera on the baseline while pursuing a rebound during the Bulls' loss at Milwaukee on Wednesday. "I got a little blood on my elbow, a little blood on my nose. My ankle," Craig said. "I like games like that." With injuries opening a spot for Craig in the starting lineup, the bump-and-shove looks to continue for the Bulls, who hope the frontcourt veteran's energetic influence rubs off. Chicago has lost eight of 11 entering Friday's visit from the Atlanta Hawks. Starting in place of Patrick Williams, who's expected to miss at least a week with left foot inflammation, Craig scored 15 points while snagging six rebounds in a 122-106 loss to the Bucks, matching Nikola Vucevic for the team high on the glass. "It's no secret; you've just got to want the ball," Craig said. "I'm a competitor. The ball's up, I try to compete for it." Craig missed Chicago's Nov. 9 game at Atlanta due to illness. The Bulls won 125-113 behind 19 points from Ayo Dosunmu and Vucevic's 18-point, 12-rebound double-double. Coby White and Zach LaVine also scored 18 points. Bulls coach Billy Donovan said LaVine "carried us" against the Bucks, who closed the game on an 18-4 run. LaVine scored 20 of his 27 points before halftime and shot 9 of 15 for the game, including 4 of 7 from 3-point range. "I've seen his shot-making; it's been incredible," Donovan said. "He has the ability to get on a roll." Atlanta is eyeing a split of a four-game road trip that has sandwiched losses at Portland and Golden State around a one-point victory in Sacramento. The Hawks lost 120-97 at Golden State on Wednesday, scoring just four points more than their season low. "I didn't think that we talked enough tonight," said Atlanta coach Quin Snyder, whose team shot 33.3 percent, including just 26.7 percent (12 of 45) from deep. "And sometimes that happens when you're not making shots and it's actually when you need each other, and even more. "Regardless of who's in the game, how long they play, we can run. You can run. You can see that there's a corner and it's empty and you can fill it, and you can see where the ball is and you can space, and doing that gives us a chance to get connected." Atlanta played with its full rotation against the Warriors. After missing the Sacramento game with left leg inflammation, Jalen Johnson posted a double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds to lead six Hawks in double-figure scoring. Trae Young (12 points, 11 assists) and Clint Capela (11 points, 10 rebounds) also contributed double-doubles. Friday marks the resumption of NBA Cup play. Atlanta is seeking a 3-0 start in East Group C after previous victories at Boston and against Washington. The Bulls lost their lone group play contest to date, at Cleveland. Group play will continue on Tuesdays and Fridays through Dec. 3 to determine an elimination bracket later in the month. The winner of each group plus one wild card from each conference will advance to the knockout rounds. Chicago has won six of 10 against Atlanta. LaVine has shot 53.6 percent while averaging 25.4 points in his past 10 games against the Hawks. --Field Level Media

The Dublin trial, which lasted nearly two weeks, concluded on Friday with the jury finding McGregor civilly liable. The lawsuit was lodged by an Irish woman, Nikita Hand, who alleged that McGregor and his mate James Lawrence had non-consensual sex with her in a Dublin hotel in December 2018. The jury ordered McGregor to pay around $260,000 to Hand, but cleared Lawrence of any liability. Today, the renowned video game series 'Hitman', under its parent company IO Interactive, declared that McGregor's character will be erased from the game due to the jury's decision. McGregor was incorporated into the game earlier this year as part of a downloadable content add-on. Although the add-on will no longer be accessible, users who have already bought the content can continue to play it. "In light of the recent court ruling regarding Conor McGregor, IO Interactive has made the decision to cease its collaboration with the athlete, effective immediately," read a statement posted on IO Interactive's social media. "We take this matter very seriously and cannot ignore its implications. Consequently, we will begin removing all content featuring Mr. McGregor from our storefronts starting today." As of now, IO Interactive is the only McGregor-associated brand to distance themselves from the Irish UFC star post the incident. McGregor has insisted that he did nothing wrong and that the sexual encounters were consensual. He recently hinted on social media that he intends to challenge the court's ruling. However, these posts have since been removed.

Donald Trump ’s picks for a second term Cabinet were supposed to illuminate what a MAGA presidency free of guardrails would look like. Many of his picks have been surprising, some controversial . His initial announcements were giveaways to his base — Matt Gaetz, then Pam Bondi for AG; Tulsi Gabbard for director of national intelligence ; RFK Jr at HHS . But as the process continues , one familiar theme has emerged: the willingness of the incoming president to spurn committed right-wing ideologues within his party . The first clue was his selection of Marco Rubio to lead the State Department. A relatively centrist Republican senator who is a supporter of military aid to Ukraine and Israel, Rubio’s pick was seen as a blow to the isolationist wing of the party, which Trump has long been seen as championing. The Florida senator is facing accusations of being a “neocon” from the likes of Alex Jones, Ron Paul, and even RFK Jr, who The Hill reports is lobbying Trump to select someone else for the job. Rubio is just one nominee. But several of Trump’s other Cabinet -level picks are also rankling people who were hoping that a Trump victory would mean a return to power for a vision of the American right wing that never took into account the realities of MAGA-world and Trump himself. The Republican Party still struggles to wrestle with how Trump-style populism — sometimes isolationist, sometimes pro-labor, and infrequently consistent — fits in to the GOP ’s overall ideology. And vice versa. Scott Bessent’s nomination for Treasury is another key example. His selection on Friday came despite public lobbying against him specifically carried out by Elon Musk and murmurs about his connections to Democrat-supporting billionaire George Soros on the right. Other Republican figures have sounded off over his pick to run the Labor Department, Lori Chavez-DeRemer, over her support for the union-boosting Pro Act. But maybe Trump’s worst transgression against the far-right: his pick for Surgeon General. Yes: what is typically an apolitical appointment is now provoking rage among two key groups of voters who backed the incoming president in 2024, the anti-mask, anti-lockdown Covid-skeptic crowd (in all its various shades), and the anti-abortion evangelical and Catholic right. Many of the former crowd in particular gravitated towards Ron DeSantis in the 2024 GOP primary after he emerged as a vocal opponent of mask mandates and other public health guidelines while serving as Florida’s governor in 2020 and 2021. Dr Janette Nesheiwat’s nomination enrages both camps. A clip of Nesheiwat appearing on the Fox Business Network is spreading in right-wing circles; in the video, she expresses support for Facebook’s efforts to tamp down on vaccine and Covid conspiracies — a huge no-no for a segment of the population which adamantly refused to comply with mask mandates, social distancing requirements and protested the closure of schools when the virus was killing hundreds of thousands of Americans. Her Twitter/X post serving as the announcement of her intended appointment was immediately besieged by Trump supporters demanding that she refuse the position. “Watch your step, Janette. We don’t trust you,” wrote The Blaze host Sara Gonzales. If this feels familiar, it’s because Donald Trump has spent the past year making various decisions and statements which similarly enraged or otherwise spun up various groups of voters that make up the right flank of the GOP. That same willingness to disappoint hardline conservative Republicans — at least, the ones who pay attention to the day-to-day of the political news cycle — was evident throughout the 2024 campaign. The anti-abortion right frequently takes the brunt of it; Trump spurned them, and former rival DeSantis, when he refused to endorse Florida’s six-week abortion ban. His stance against legislation to ban abortion at the federal level angered that group, too. But the comparatively uncontroversial selections for Cabinet positions following a few initial outliers raises another question: is the president-elect attempting to build political capital with the Senate? And for what purpose? With the Trump administration reportedly plotting a massive day-one push on immigration, one that will likely rely on Congress in some form for changes to law and funding which can only be provided through the Legislative Branch, we may have that answer in the weeks ahead.CHARLESTOWN, Mass., Dec. 23, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Solid Biosciences Inc. Race to fill Rep. Michael Waltz’s congressional seat shapes up in FloridaOVBC stock hits 52-week high at $27.95 amid robust growthAhmedabad (Gujarat) [India], November 30 (ANI): Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA), managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd, has undertaken several pioneering initiatives, many of which are first-of-their-kind in the country, resulting “in a significant reduction in bird strikes”. This measure enhances the safety of both passengers and aircraft, a release said. Bird strikes pose a serious risk to aviation safety. When birds collide with aircraft, they can cause damage to engines, windshields and other critical components, potentially leading to serious accidents. To mitigate this risk, SVPI Airport has implemented a comprehensive bird management programme, the release said. It said several pioneering initiatives, seen for the first time at an airport in India, include targeted vegetation management, insect control, physical deterrence, wildlife management, acoustic deterrence and community engagement. To reduce the attractiveness of the airport to birds, a precise grass growth cycle management strategy has been implemented. “By using appropriate plant growth regulators and bird deterrents, SVPI Airport has been able to control the growth of vegetation and discourage birds from foraging. The plant growth regulators played a major role in keeping the height of grasses under check and thus reducing insect infestation,” the release said. It said that to reduce the availability of insect prey for birds, the Airport has undertaken comprehensive soil treatment to eliminate insect infestation, particularly winged termites, which attract black kites. Additionally, advanced insect attraction technologies like Farrow’s light traps and black light traps are used to capture insects in large quantities, further reducing bird food sources. To prevent birds from roosting on Airport structures, customised anti-perching devices conforming to Hyper Urban Bird Management technology have been installed. This is a patented technology for limiting access of pigeons; more than 95 per cent of the bird infestation in the Airport buildings has reduced. The release said that problematic wildlife species are safely relocated to designated areas to minimise their impact on airport operations. “SVPIA operates one of the first-of-its-kind programmes in the country for the scientific relocation of wildlife, including five species of birds,” it said. Customised bioacoustics systems have been installed on airport vehicles and on the periphery of the runway to deter birds. The Airport also regularly engages with local communities to educate them about the importance of avoiding bird feeding and littering in the vicinity of the Airport. “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad remains committed to implementing innovative and industry-leading solutions to further enhance safety standards and provide a secure and seamless travel experience for all passengers,” the release said. It said that all modules and techniques adopted for bird hazard management are designed in compliance with the guidelines provided by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Louisiana’s GOP-dominated legislature passed tax cuts on personal and corporate income on Friday in exchange for a statewide sales tax increase, a mixed bag of success for Gov. Jeff Landry, whose original tax revision plans faced mounting resistance from lawmakers and lobbyists amid hard fiscal realities. The final passage of the bulk of Landry's proposed measures winds down a special legislative session called Nov. 6 by the governor and his allies. They said their purpose was to make the state’s tax code more business friendly, bring jobs and reverse trends of outward migration from the state. It was the third special legislative session called by Landry, a Republican, since he assumed office in January. The package of legislation includes a permanent $2,000 raise for teachers and doubles standard deductions for residents aged 65 and older. It raises the state sales tax to 5%, while granting Landry’s wish for lower personal and corporate income tax rates. It repeals the 0.275% corporate franchise tax, a levy on businesses operating on the state worth more than $500 million in annual revenue. The state's new corporate income tax rate will be a flat 5.5%, reducing the highest tier from 7.5%. Landry had wanted a 3.5% flat rate. Lawmakers approved a flat 3% individual income tax rate and nearly tripled the standard deduction for individuals. Previously, the personal income tax rate had stood at 4.25% for individuals earning $50,000 or more. “What I’m very confident in is that everyone’s going to have more money in their pocket at the end of the day with the personal income tax reductions,” said Republican Rep. Julie Emerson, who spearheaded legislation to flatten the income tax rate. With the personal income tax reductions reducing annual revenue by $1.3 billion, Landry’s original plan had called for applying sales taxes to dozens of services like car-washing, dog-grooming and lobbying. He also sought to eliminate large tax incentives for the restoration of historic buildings and the film industry. Those proposals were defeated, leading to a bigger sales tax hike than Landry initially proposed. Louisiana already had the highest combined state and average local sales tax in the country at 9.56%, according to the Tax Foundation, a think tank favored by conservatives. ___ Associated Press writer Kevin McGill contributed to this report. ___ _____ Brook is a corps member for The Associated Press/Report for America Statehouse News Initiative. Culpeper Schools win inaugural awardOn Monday, social media flooded with anger after a shocking video emerged of a woman being set ablaze in a New York City subway. The viral video depicts a woman engulfed in flames while an alleged NYPD officer appears to stroll by without providing assistance. This event has ignited extensive outrage on the internet, as numerous individuals are questioning the conduct of the officer and the police's response. In the distressing video, a woman is shown surrounded by fire as those nearby seem to respond in shock. The viral post also asserts that the purported officer, who can be seen passing by the scene, did not help the victim. It remains unconfirmed if the officer was involved in a response team or if additional efforts were being made to put out the fire. Currently, authorities have not provided any official details about the incident. (Viewers discretion is advised before viewing the following video.) The identity of the victim has also sparked a discussion. Social media discussions have suggested that the victim might be 29-year-old Amelia Carter. However, the NYPD has not yet confirmed the identity of the victim. Although the police have indicated they are continuing efforts to verify the woman's identity, a picture of the alleged victim has started to spread on X. Numerous users have expressed worries that the image, claimed to be of Carter's, was created by AI, intensifying the uncertainty regarding the incident. The anger persisted across multiple social media sites, particularly X, where users criticized local officials, such as Governor Kathy Hochul, District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and Mayor Eric Adams, for letting the public down. One post reads, "Notice NYPD walking by. This is on Hochul, Bragg, James, and Biden/Obama, Mayorkas. And NYers keep voting them in. Abhorrent." Another user expressed disbelief, saying, "The NYPD would rather waste all their resources on a perp walk than save a woman burning to death. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING." Social media users criticized the apparent inaction, with some even claiming that the police force had lost its sense of duty. One post included the viral image of an officer walking past the victim, stating, "I am disgusted with what the NYPD has become." Some posts raised further questions about the officer’s awareness of the situation, with one comment noting, "How does this happen?? NYPD officer walks right past the woman burning alive on the subway like he's off to get a gyro. This is insanity." Others asked, "If you were an NYPD officer, what would you do in this situation?" At this point, the incident has generated more queries than solutions. As law enforcement and media sources continue to analyze the viral video, authorities have not yet released additional information regarding the investigation.
