X Æ A-12's public plea for his father to "save America" has raised eyebrows and prompted questions about the nature of their relationship and the significance of this call to action. While Musk has made headlines for his efforts to advance space exploration and sustainable energy, his son's words indicate a desire for him to have a greater impact on a national scale. The biggest news in the K-pop industry in 2024 was the conflict between Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of Ador, and Hybe executives. Min was credited for creating visual branding for SM Entertainment's renowned groups such as Exo, Shinee and Girls' Generation. She is also renowned as a former executive producer behind the success of NewJeans, who stood out for their girl next door image and retro sound. In April, Min was accused of attempting to take control of Ador, a subsidiary of Hybe, and trying to take NewJeans with her. Min denied the allegations and released an official statement claiming that the dispute between Ador and Hybe was caused by accusations that the debut album of ILLIT -- a girl group under Belift Lab, another subsidiary of Hybe -- copied NewJeans' style. On Aug 27, Min was removed as CEO of Ador. In September, NewJeans went live on YouTube and expressed their concern about the change in CEO and asked the company to reinstate Min. On Oct 15, Hanni, one of the members of NewJeans, testified to the Labour Committee of South Korea's National Assembly regarding workplace harassment and bullying. In her testimony, Hanni stated that the manager of the music label under Hybe told other artists to ignore her. On Nov 28, NewJeans announced that their contract with Ador would be terminated on Nov 29 at 12am without paying penalty fees because they did not violate any of the contract's terms. However, Ador insisted that the contract was valid until 2029. Since the battle is still ongoing, fans of NewJeans and Hybe will have to wait for the outcome. In October, Hybe also found itself involved in another controversy when the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee audited the company and found the Weekly Music Industry Report. The original report, which featured over 10,000 pages, disturbed K-pop fans with harsh comments about artists, many of whom are still underage. Some negative reports claimed that Blackpink's rise to fame was largely due to their performances at Coachella. The report also featured negative comments about Lisa's cabaret performance at Crazy Horse in Paris. The Thai star was criticised for performing a sensual and provocative dance that could damage Blackpink's reputation. Additionally, Lisa's international awards are under suspicion of foul play. Groups in other music labels such as Riize, Le Sserafim, NMIXX, NCT Dream, Stray Kids, BabyMonster and Aespa were mentioned negatively regarding their appearance or performing abilities. Lee Jae-sang, CEO of Hybe, eventually apologised for the controversial internal report. He admitted that the content was not appropriate, but explained that the report was a compilation of public sentiment about K-pop issues. Although Blackpink did not perform as a group this year, the individual members succeeded in their solo work. Rosé, for example, made history as the first female K-pop artist to enter the US Billboard Hot 100 with her hit single APT, a collaboration with Bruno Mars. APT debuted at number eight on the chart. Her debut solo album, Rosie, also topped the music charts locally and internationally and received positive reviews from music critics. Also this year, Lisa became the first K-pop artist to win the Best K-pop Award at the MTV Video Music Awards. Additionally, she was the opening act at the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Although her popularity has remained high, her performances have received mixed reviews due to her limited singing ability. As a solo artist, Blackpink's Jennie won four awards at Mnet Asian Music Awards including Best Dance Performance, Best Collaboration, Best Rap & Hip Hop Performance and Fan Choice Female Top 10. Her upbeat single Mantra, sung in English, topped charts worldwide. Jisoo is the only Blackpink member who is focusing on an acting career. As a lead actress, she is working on a zombie movie, Newtopia, and a TV series, Monthly Boyfriend. Before starting military services, BTS members released their solo singles/albums. RM, the leader and songwriter of BTS, launched the album Right Place, Wrong Person, which ranked No.1 on Billboard's 25 Best K-pop albums of 2024. The album offers diverse music and allowed RM to bare his soul and invite listeners into his innermost thoughts and feelings. SM Entertainment is another music label embroiled in a controversial case, involving its up-and-coming boy band Riize. Last year, one of Riize's members, Seunghan, was forced to take a hiatus after photos and videos of him kissing a woman, smoking cigarettes and chatting with a colleague in an inappropriate manner were leaked. In October, when the label announced that Seunghan would return to Riize, the company faced strong backlash from Korean fans who sent over 1,000 funeral wreaths accompanied with hateful messages to SM Ent's headquarter in protest. With this pressure, Seunghan wrote an apology letter and left the group. Meanwhile, international fans considered the protest as bullying and organised events to show support for Seunghan. On Nov 15, SM Ent eventually announced that Seunghan will work as a solo artist. It is impossible to talk about K-pop in 2024 without mentioning Aespa, one of the year's most successful groups. Their hit song Supernova dominated major Korean music charts like Melon and Genie, and the song ranked No.1 for an impressive 12 consecutive weeks. With its catchy, futuristic beat and mesmerising choreography, Supernova also hit No.1 on Billboard's list of the 25 Best K-pop Song of 2024. At the Melon Music Awards, the quartet took home seven awards, including Artist of the Year, Songs of the Year and Album of the Year. Stray Kids reached new heights of global success in 2024. The group became the second K-pop act to perform at the American Music Awards. Their cAPTivating performance, mixes of NSYNC's Bye Bye Bye and their own hit Chk Chk Boom, were praised for its energy, creativity and perfect blend of different genres. Building on their powerful stage presence, Stray Kids performed at the Billboard Music Awards 2024 and won Top Global K-pop Artist. Artists' popularity usually wanes after completing military service, however, loyal fans of Day6, a pop rock band, patiently awaited the return of their beloved group after a three-year hiatus. Day6 came back with the launch of their album Fourever in February. Following the album's release, tickets for their three-day concert at Jamsil Indoor Stadium sold out. In November, Day6 achieved a significant milestone by winning their first Daesang (Grand Prize) at the 2024 Korea Grand Music Awards nine years after their debut. There will be many anticipating K-pop concerts and events in 2025. On Jan 11 and 12, Jay B, the leader of GOT7, will hold his solo concert "2024-2025 Jay B Concert [Tape: Reload] In Bangkok" at Impact Arena. After all members of GOT7 went solo for three years, they confirmed their return with a new album in 2025. On Jan 25, 2NE1, the legendary girl group, are scheduled to perform the concert "2024-2025 2NE1 Asia Tour [Welcome Back] In Bangkok" at Impact Exhibition Hall 5-6. Tickets have sold out. On Feb 8, Taeyang, the main vocalist and dancer of Big Bang, will cAPTivate Bangkok audiences with his solo concert "Taeyang 2025 Tour [The Light Year] In Bangkok". Big Bang members always deliver incredible live performances, so this is a concert that K-pop fans should not miss.

This deal won't last very long. HP is currently offering an HP Envy Intel Core i5-1440F RTX 3050 gaming PC for $629.99. That's not a very spectacular deal. However, you can upgrade to the RTX 4060 GPU on the configuration page and the price actually drops $10. That means you can pick up an HP Envy RTX 4060 gaming PC for only $619.99 . That is definitely one of the best budget gaming PC deals I've seen for all of November and December, including Black Friday. Even if the deal doesn't prematurely expire, this is a flash sale that's set to expire in a few hours. HP Envy RTX 4060 Gaming PC for $619.99 The HP ENVY is a compact, unassuming PC that doesn't feature the ostentatious tempered glass panels or RGB bling that adorn many gaming PCs. But really, it's the internals that count. This particular system is equipped with an Intel Core i5-14400F CPU, an RTX 4060 GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 512GB M.2 SSD. The Intel Core i5-14400F processor is a 14th generation Intel CPU and features a Max Turbo frequency of 4.7GHz with 10 cores, 16 threads, and 20MB of total cache. This is a good gaming chip that won't bottleneck your RTX 4060 GPU. The case measures only 12" deep and 14" high, so it won't take up much desktop space. It features a decked out front I/O panel which includes four USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, a headphone jack, and even a 3-in-1 memory card reader. At this price, there's not much more you can ask for. Eric Song is the IGN commerce manager in charge of finding the best gaming and tech deals every day. Zaire Williams, Zavier Fitch combine for 45 points to help Wagner beat Penn State-Scranton 120-30The saga of Neymar's potential return to Barcelona has been a topic of much speculation and debate among football fans and pundits alike. After leaving Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain in a world-record transfer fee in 2017, Neymar was linked with a return to his former club during the recent transfer window. However, negotiations between the two clubs reportedly hit a snag over various issues, including the terms of the deal and Neymar's registration status.Inflation is predicted to average 2.5% this year and 2.6% next year, according to forecasts from the Office for Budget Responsibility. The British Medical Association said the Government showed a “poor grasp” of unresolved issues from two years of industrial action, and the Royal College of Nursing called the pay recommendation “deeply offensive”. The National Education Union’s chief said teachers were “putting the Government on notice” that the proposed increase “won’t do”. The pay recommendations came after Chancellor Rachel Reeves called for every Government department to cut costs by 5%, as she started work on a sweeping multi-year spending review to be published in 2025. Independent pay review bodies will consider the proposals for pay rises for teachers, NHS workers and senior civil servants. The Department of Health said it viewed 2.8% as a “reasonable amount” to set aside, in its recommendations to the NHS Pay Review Body and the Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration Board remit groups. A 2.8% pay rise for teachers in 2025/26 would “maintain the competitiveness of teachers’ pay despite the challenging financial backdrop the Government is facing”, the Department for Education said. The Cabinet Office also suggested pay increases for senior civil servants should be kept to no more than 2.8%. Paul Johnson, director of the influential economics think tank the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), said it was “not a bad ballpark figure” and feels “just about affordable” given the Government’s public spending plans. The downside, he said, is that public sector workers have lost out since 2010 and unions will be upset that this is not making up the gap, he told Sky News’ Politics Hub with Sophy Ridge. “But given the constraints facing the Chancellor I think it’s pretty hard to argue for more for public sector pay when public sector services ... are under real strain,” he said. Unions expressed their disappointment in the recommendations, with some hinting they could be willing to launch industrial action. The Royal College of Nursing general secretary and chief executive called for “open direct talks now” to avoid “further escalation to disputes and ballots”. Professor Nicola Ranger said: “The Government has today told nursing staff they are worth as little as £2 extra a day, less than the price of a coffee. “Nursing is in crisis – there are fewer joining and too many experienced professionals leaving. This is deeply offensive to nursing staff, detrimental to their patients and contradictory to hopes of rebuilding the NHS. “The public understands the value of nursing and they know that meaningful reform of the NHS requires addressing the crisis in nursing. “We pulled out of the Pay Review Body process, alongside other unions, because it is not the route to address the current crisis. “That has been demonstrated today. “Fair pay must be matched by structural reform. Let’s open direct talks now and avoid further escalation to disputes and ballots – I have said that directly to government today.” Professor Philip Banfield, chairman of the British Medical Association’s council, urged the sector’s pay review body to “show it is now truly independent”. “For this Government to give evidence to the doctors’ and dentists’ pay review body (DDRB) believing a 2.8% pay rise is enough, indicates a poor grasp of the unresolved issues from two years of industrial action,” he said. He said the proposal is far below the current rate of inflation and that the Government was “under no illusion” when doctors accepted pay offers in the summer that there was a “very real risk of further industrial action” if “pay erosion” was not addressed in future pay rounds. “This sub-inflationary suggestion from the current Government serves as a test to the DDRB. “The BMA expects it to take this opportunity to show it is now truly independent, to take an objective view of the evidence it receives from all parties, not just the Government, and to make an offer that reflects the value of doctors’ skills and expertise in a global market, and that moves them visibly further along the path to full pay restoration.” The NEU’s general secretary, Daniel Kebede, said teachers’ pay had been cut by more than one-fifth in real terms since 2010. “Along with sky-high workload, the pay cuts have resulted in a devastating recruitment and retention crisis. Teacher shortages across the school system hit pupils and parents too. “A 2.8% increase is likely to be below inflation and behind wage increases in the wider economy. This will only deepen the crisis in education.” In a hint that there could be a return to industrial action he added: “NEU members fought to win the pay increases of 2023 and 2024. “We are putting the Government on notice. Our members care deeply about education and feel the depth of the crisis. This won’t do.” The offer for teachers is the “exact opposite of fixing the foundations” and will result in bigger class sizes and more cuts to the curriculum, Pepe Di’Iasio, general secretary of the Association of School and College Leaders, said: “The inadequacy of the proposed pay award is compounded by the Government’s intention that schools should foot the bill out of their existing allocations. “Given that per-pupil funding will increase on average by less than 1% next year, and the Government’s proposal is for an unfunded 2.8% pay award, it is obvious that this is in fact an announcement of further school cuts.” Paul Whiteman, general secretary at school leaders’ union NAHT, said: This recommendation falls far short of what is needed to restore the competitiveness of the teaching profession, to enable it to retain experienced professionals and attract new talent. Unison head of health Helga Pile said: “The Government has inherited a financial mess from its predecessors, but this is not what NHS workers wanted to hear. “Staff are crucial in turning around the fortunes of the NHS. Improving performance is a key Government pledge, but the pay rise proposed is barely above the cost of living.”
Earlier this month, Google released new some details about its use of AI to block spam and dangerous messages from reaching your email. Now though, it looks like this same technology could be coming to Google Chrome too. As reported by BleepingComputer , a new “Client Side Detection Brand and Intent for Scam Detection” Chrome feature was spotted by Leopeva64 on X . Just like with Gmail's recent upgrade, this feature uses a Large Language Model to analyze potential threats. In this case though, it’s not emails that are being analyzed but web pages on your devices, and the feature searches through brands and the intent of the pages you see when navigating across different sites. This new AI feature is believed to power a scam detection service which understands the associated brand and purpose of each page you visit online. This will help make it even easier to identify sites that could potentially be fraudulent in nature. Though Google hasn't share any specific details yet on how this feature works or how to turn it on, you will be able to use it on Mac, Windows and Linux once it rolls out next year. This new tool is currently being tested in Chrome Canary and it could be related to Google's existing Enhanced Protection feature which has been using AI to provide real time protection against dangerous sites, downloads and extensions since November of this year. More from Tom's GuideAs players embark on their journey through the dark and treacherous world of Wraeclast in "Path of Exile 2," they are met with a wealth of new features and improvements that set it apart from its predecessor. The 2024 edition marked an all-time high with participation from 40 universities, attracting over 700 students across 25 nations, including 450 attendees. As the event evolves, it retains essential elements like its mentoring program and Job Forum, essential for connecting budding talents with seasoned professionals. Bernard d’Alessandri, the General Secretary of Yacht Club de Monaco, emphasizes the event’s mission to spearhead technological progress in leisure boating. The challenge garners substantial backing from the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, UBS, BMW, SBM Offshore, and prominent industry names like Monaco Marine and Lürssen, underscoring its importance. The timeline for the upcoming sessions is as follows: The Energy Class, introduced in 2018, continues to push the boundaries of innovation by testing zero-emission prototypes and is now broadening its technological horizons to include alternatives like hydrogen and kinetic energy storage. The competition bids farewell to the Solar Class, urging participants to explore a variety of sustainable solutions under the new Energy and SeaLab Classes, or the inaugural AI Class starting in 2025, which will highlight autonomous maritime technologies. The SeaLab Class, now a central feature of the challenge, welcomes entries up to 12 meters long that comply with stringent safety standards while demonstrating cutting-edge sustainable maritime technologies. New in 2025, the AI Class will open doors to prototypes that operate autonomously, fostering further advances in maritime AI integration, with human intervention limited to troubleshooting. In response to the complaints, our team conducted an on-site investigation to assess the extent of the road damage and understand the impact it has on the community. What we found was alarming - the roads were riddled with deep potholes and cracks, making them impassable in certain areas. In some places, the road had completely eroded, leaving behind muddy tracks that were nearly impossible to traverse, especially during inclement weather.
