Both companies announced the decision on Friday in a court filing in Manhattan, where they agreed to dismiss their claims against each other without the option to refile. Details of any settlement were not disclosed, and neither company responded to requests for comment. The lawsuit stemmed from a 2014 agreement in which Tesla sold stock warrants to JPMorgan. These warrants allowed the bank to buy Tesla shares at a specific price on a future date. JPMorgan alleged Tesla breached the contract in 2018 after a tweet from Tesla CEO Elon Musk caused the company’s stock to fluctuate significantly. More than 5.59 lakh job aspirants are slated to appear in an examination for 4,002 vacancies of police constables in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Saturday. The test is scheduled to commence across the Union Territory from Sunday. A group of youngsters, meanwhile, staged a demonstration here, reiterating their demand for age relaxation and rescheduling of the examination. "A total of 5,59,135 candidates are scheduled to appear in the exams for 4,002 posts of constables (home department) to be held on December 1, December 8 and December 22," Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) Chairperson Indu Kanwal Chib said at a meeting here. The meeting of the civil administration and police department was convened by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo to take stock of the preparations made by the deputy commissioners to conduct the exams. Chib said the exams for the posts of constable (executive/armed/SDRF) are going to be held on December 1 at 856 centres across 20 districts, for which 2,62,863 candidates are set to appear, with the maximum number of 54,296 candidates appearing from Jammu district. The meeting was informed that for the first time, male and female gazetted officers have been deployed at each centre as "frisking supervisors", besides ensuring videography of the exams to ensure transparency, an official spokesperson said. The chief secretary impressed upon the officers to make adequate arrangements in terms of deployment of staff, including observers, supervisors, invigilators and other personnel, for a smooth conduct of the examinations. He urged the deputy commissioners to visit as many exam centres as possible, besides forming teams under senior officers in the district administration to examine all the centres set up in their districts. The chief secretary sensitised them to ensure that no untoward incident of copying or malpractice occurs anywhere and that enough security personnel are deployed at each centre in the district, the spokesperson said. He enquired with them about the arrangements made for the delivery of both sensitive and non-sensitive exam material to the centres. The chief secretary also enjoined upon them to personally monitor the whole process till the OMR sheets are sent back to the SSRB by the police department, the spokesperson said. Meanwhile, a group of youngsters, who could not apply for the constable posts due to being over-age, staged a demonstration here and raised slogans against the administration for not providing them a level-playing field. "We had also dreamt of joining the police and serving the nation but were denied the opportunity by the administration, which failed to hold the examination for years. We have given our representation to the lieutenant governor, political parties and officers seeking age relaxations but all our pleas were ignored," youth leader and social activist Mehran Anjum Mir said. The protesters reiterated their demand for age relaxation for the posts of constable and sub-inspector, and demanded rescheduling of the constable examination to allow them to compete as well. The SSRB has issued a notification for the recruitment of 669 sub-inspectors in the Jammu and Kashmir Police department. According to the official schedule, the application process for recruitment will begin on December 3 and conclude on January 2, 2025.

As uncertainty looms over Pakistan-hosted Champions Trophy 2025, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has expressed optimism that a "long-term" formula, which will be beneficial for both country and cricket, would be chalked out that will apply to all future events of International Cricket Council (ICC). "We will not allow one-sided decisions [...] decisions should be made based on equality," Naqvi, who is also the interior minister said while speaking to journalists in Dubai on Saturday. The tournament, scheduled to take place in Pakistan, has become a bone of contention between Pakistan and India, with the BCCI refusing to send its team to Pakistan, citing security concerns despite assurances. An online meeting convened by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday aimed at resolving the issue lasted just 15 minutes without concrete results. The PCB has categorically rejected the hybrid model proposed during the virtual meeting, under which all of India’s matches would be played outside Pakistan. Sources told Geo News that the Indian cricket governing body has reportedly sought more time after Pakistan's firm stance. Talking to the media today, Naqvi said that it isn’t fair that Pakistan visit India for ICC events, but the neighbouring country doesn’t, stressing the need for "long-term talks". He further said that the decisions cannot be limited to the Champions Trophy only, adding that a formula for future tournaments must be chalked out. In another development, the PCB chief met Mubashir Usmani, the chairman of the ICC associate member committee and former secretary of the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) in Dubai today. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the PCB said that Naqvi in his meeting with Usmani discussed “important issues regarding the organisation of the Champions Trophy tournament”. "Pakistan is fully prepared to host the tournament in our country. We are a peaceful nation, and our people have a deep love for cricket." Naqvi told Mubashir. The PCB chairman and his team also assured that all the incoming teams will get presidential-level security during the event. He expressed excitement for the tournament, saying, "Cricket fans in Pakistan are eagerly awaiting the matches. Every participating team will be provided with state-guest-level protocol and security." Reflecting on the concerns raised by the BCCI, Naqvi stressed the importance of keeping cricket separate from politics. “This tournament is a significant honour for our country. We warmly welcome every team with open hearts and will ensure a world-class experience for all,” he added. Besides discussing the Champions Trophy, the meeting also focused on promoting cricket in both Pakistan and the UAE. Every time Pakistan is required to play in India, we comply. Yet, when it is India’s turn to play in Pakistan, excuses are made. Sources revealed that Pakistan’s unwavering stance has put the ICC in a difficult position, with options now including a potential postponement of the tournament, rescheduling or introducing a backup host nation like Sri Lanka. Adding to the ongoing mess, India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that it is “unlikely” the Indian team would travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy due to “security concerns.” A spokesman for the External Affairs Ministry put the onus on the BCCI saying that it fears Indian team security. “It is the BCCI that has to make the final call on the team’s visit to Pakistan,” an Indian Ministry spokesman said.
