When asked by a reporter after the game against Liverpool whether his style of play is sustainable, the 59-year-old snapped back at him and said “It’s not going to change”. So, for him to be dismissive, I think is a really bad look.” Big Ange is now into his second season in the Premier League and Tottenham fans had hoped for progress after finishing fifth in the 2023/24 campaign. The Lilywhites have barely made any progress, and although the veteran tactician has had to deal with a lot of injuries which we give the benefit of the doubt to him, the lack of plan B—as ex-Spurs striker Darren Bent also alluded to after the Liverpool game—is simply alarming. The ex-Celtic boss is not exempt from blame for sticking to his same principles of open, attacking football without having the required players to execute it. He needs to find a different solution to pick up points in the coming fixtures. After stepping back from politics in 1989, Ms Hussey played an active role in the European Women's Federation. Her family described her as "a very proud Europhile" who inspired women in former Eastern-block countries to engage in politics for the first time. They expressed deep pride in her lifelong service that contributed to a better Ireland and a better Europe. Predeceased by her husband Derry, Ms Hussey's legacy lives on through her children Rachel, Ruth, and Andrew, her seven grandchildren, her brother Paddy, and a wide circle of treasured friends, reports the Irish Mirror . Minister for Education, Norma Foley paid tribute to Ms Hussey in a statement this evening. She said: "She was a courageous and determined politician who showed the way for women at the highest level in politics. Just Baseball's Ryan Finkelstein predicted that Pivetta would leave the Red Sox to join the Toronto Blue Jays on a two-year, $40 million deal with an opt-out. "The downside to Pivetta is the fact that he has not finished any of the last four seasons with an ERA under 4.00, and teams will have to forfeit draft capital to sign him," wrote Finkelstein. "If there is one team that might be desperate enough to not care about the draft capital at this stage of the offseason, it's the Toronto Blue Jays. The Jays have struck out on most major free agents, with a lot of their pursued targets having been attached to the qualifying offer." Pivetta has started 107 games for the Red Sox in the last five seasons. Signing with the Blue Jays would give him the opportunity to make the Red Sox pay for not bringing him back. The Blue Jays have not been able to convince stars to sign with them. They have, however, successfully added Andrés Giménez through trade. An offseason haul of Giménez and Pivetta is not what the Blue Jays had in mind, but it is not bad. Pivetta could serve as a solid arm in the backend of the Blue Jays rotation. He would be a great compliment to Kevin Gausman, José Berríos and Chris Bassitt. Pivetta has already made two starts against the Red Sox in his career. He has a 0.69 ERA and 15 strikeouts against them. He could continue to succeed against the Red Sox if he joined the Blue Jays.
