Apple's iPhone 17 range tipped to feature a radically different design from current models such as ... [+] the iPhone 16 Pro (pictured) According to new reports, next year’s iPhone 17 range could look markedly different from current models. Leaked iPhone 17 Images Appear Online A recent Weibo post by the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that at least one iPhone 17 model could adopt a radical new case design next year with a horizontal pill-shaped camera bump at the rear. Interestingly, the design looks remarkably similar to Google’s current Pixel 9 range, aside from its higher placement, almost flush with the top of the phone. Supply chain leaks reveal a radically different camera arrangement for the iPhone 17 range. According to the report, “Judging from the supply chain materials, the iPhone 17 series (slim) has indeed changed to this design. The details of the lens arrangement are unknown. The module is this kind of strip runway.” (machine translated). Although the leaker doesn’t claim to know the arrangement of the individual camera lenses within the camera island, a leaked image shows a row of three camera lenses. This configuration contradicts earlier leaks, which suggested that the rumored iPhone 17 Air (or iPhone 17 Slim) would feature just a single rear camera lens rather than three. iOS 18.2—Update Now Warning Issued To All iPhone Users Microsoft Warns 400 Million Windows Users—Do Not Update Your PC What We Know About Luigi Mangione: Manhattan DA Reportedly Presenting Grand Jury With Evidence On UnitedHealthcare Shooting A Second Leaked Image Is Posted However, another Weibo user posted a photo purportedly showing the internal aluminum frame from an unnamed iPhone 17 device later that day, revealing the same horizontal camera bar. A leaked image, purportedly of part of an iPhone 17-series device, shows space for a new camera bar ... [+] layout. This horizontal camera bar cutout extends almost to the edges of the case and protrudes slightly from the rear, suggesting a camera island design very similar to Google’s current Pixel 9 range. However, the leaker states (again, machine translated from Chinese), “The frame of the new iPhone in the supply chain is indeed like this, with the ultra-wide-angle camera placed in the middle, giving space to the front-facing structured light.” If the design does indeed incorporate an ultra-wide camera placed between two others, then at least one iPhone 17 model with multiple rear cameras will also adopt this new horizontal layout. Google's Pixel 9 range uses a familiar horizontal camera bar design — a recognizable design feature ... [+] since the Pixel 6. A Significant Design Shift A horizontal camera bar would represent a marked departure from current iPhone designs, which feature a triangular camera layout in “Pro” models and a vertical camera bar in standard iPhone 16 editions. While any potential benefits to photography remain unknown, this horizontal camera island design would shift the lenses away from any greasy fingertips while providing a convenient ledge to steady the phone. It would also prevent wobble when using the phone on a table or other flat surface. Furthermore, this instantly recognizable new design would ensure that no one mistakes your new iPhone 17 for last year's model. On the other hand, they may well think you’ve jumped ship and bought a Google Pixel. For that reason, I would be surprised if Apple were to encourage such confusion by opting for a design that is too similar to Google’s. While Digital Chat Station has a strong track record regarding smartphone leaks, there’s still a long time to wait before the iPhone 17’s expected launch in September 2025, and nothing can be considered confirmed at this stage. The question is already swirlingCincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow addressed the break-in that occurred at his home while the team was in Dallas. The Bengals are coming off a win against the Cowboys during Monday Night Football. While Burrow was away for the Monday night game, however, his house was broken into. It was reported around 9:14 p.m. Monday, while Burrow was playing in MNF, according to an incident report. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office confirmed the break-in, but did not share more details. “I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one.” Joe Burrow opens his press conference with a statement on the break-in at his home this week. #Bengals | @WLWT pic.twitter.com/LB470oopJc "Obviously, everybody has heard what has happened, I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one, and way more is already out there than I would want out there and that I care to share," Burrow said. It's the latest burglary involving the homes of professional athletes across multiple sports. The NFL issued a security alert recently to teams and the players’ union last month following recent burglaries involving the homes of Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. At this moment, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department can't say if detectives think this could be connected to any of the other NFL break-ins. Speaking on Wednesday, Burrow said he felt his privacy has been violated in the aftermath of the break-in. "We live a public life and one of my least favorite parts of that is the lack of privacy, and that has been difficult for me to deal with in my entire career, still learning," Burrow said. According to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations, the burglary at Burrow's house is being investigated by the Southwest Ohio Burglary Task Force. BCI said the task force is operated under the attorney general’s Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission and was formed to investigate a string of burglaries targeting neighborhoods in Hamilton County. The task force is led by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Indian Hills PD and includes more than a dozen different agencies.
LET me tell you one thing, if you ever want to make people jealous, it’s by going on holidays to the sun in the darker months over here. I spent the end of February in California , and I am pretty sure I was blocked by most people on social media by the end. It wasn’t the bright lights of LA or the place I spent my J1, San Diego that had my Instagram followers cursing me. It was the beauty of the Joshua Tree National Park, the stunning surroundings of the Borrego Valley and the cool city vibes of Palm Springs. Ireland will always associate Joshua trees with U2 , so it was fascinating to go into the park and see them myself up close and personal. The park itself is 795,156 acres, apparently bigger than the state of Rhode Island , and slightly bigger than the park beside me at home. In comparison, Phoenix Park is 1,750 acres, so yeah, it was a surprise to me how big it is, especially in my head as I thought I would just be walking around it. Luckily we had our trusted guide Shannon who was driving us around and knew just where we had to go. First stop being of course to see some Joshua trees. I know I have seen them on the cover of the U2 album of the same name but they are magnificent in person. I tend to feel tiny most of the time, standing at 5ft 1, but this was another thing. They are tall but also stretch out in weird ways, just not your average oak tree. Also in the park, we visited a cactus farm - after all, we were in a desert area! One easy tip to stick to was staying on the provided path as no one wanted to be the person who fell into one of the many cacti sprouting their spines around the place. Now I’m guessing most people have heard of the Joshua Tree National Park, but have you heard of Borrego Springs? It was this amazing little town where their local tourist store was full of treats, from crystals to books, to t-shirts. There you can see wildflowers all along the roadsides, and then a bunch of metal sculptures of dinosaurs, elephants and more. Yes really! Wild cactus in a range of colours beside a giant steel sculpture of a T-Rex. We took a walk out through the sculptures, which were by welder Ricardo Breceda. There are around 130 of them dotted around 22 miles, and you can drive up to most of them, or there is even an option of a tour. It gave the vibes of what it would have been like to roam as humans beside these huge animals. I also loved driving around to see the many types of plant growing in the desert, such as a bright pink cactus. There were splashes of purple, yellow, pink and green along the roadside, which would be a stunning way to head to work. The Borrego Valley Inn is an adult-only, contactless hotel, with a very chilled aura, rocking chairs outside the rooms, and an electric fire inside to give cosy vibes. And being an adult-only hotel, there was even a nude pool if you fancied taking a dip - not that I did, because no one needed to see that. But I loved turning on the electric fire, curling up under the blanket and having some chill time. Dinner that evening was relaxed and we went for the nearby Big Horn food joint for some traditional burgers and fries. And as a veggie, I was delighted they had some fake meat for a burger for me too, so I could get the American experience. And it meant we were up early for a giant breakfast in Kendall’s cafe nearby before hitting the road to Palm Springs. You probably have heard of that part of California, it is mentioned in songs like Katy Perry’s California Girls, many of the Real Housewives have had episodes there and celebs such as Elvis have lived there. It is a gorgeous city, colourfully painted around the place, with a huge LGBTQ+ community - so we made sure to go to the drag bingo taking place in the Ace Hotel, where we were staying. We did a lot better in that than in the following quiz about the area! The Ace had a real 70s boho vibe about it, right down to the retro radio in the rooms. My room overlooked one of the two pools - the quieter one, while the main one had music and good vibes late into the evening. While staying here, I made sure to check out some of the vintage stores and if I had a bigger case, my house would look a lot cooler right now! One highlight we did was the Red Jeep Tour, which picks you up at your hotel and takes you around the Indian Canyons. We got to do a short hike around and see the stunning views in the valleys, see how the natives would have lived years ago, and see a side to California a lot of tourists miss out on. For March, it was already warm and I loved having a break in the Californian nature with the sun. We then dusted ourselves off from the canyons and threw on some robes and headed to the Spa at Sec-he for a soak. After some pampering, it was out to the pool to laze about in a private cabana, and take a dip with a Prosecco in hand - I could live this CA life I tell you! No wonder everyone wants to go to Hollywood! But the highlight of Palm Springs for me had to be Boozehounds. Yes, I loved walking the streets and the adorable shops where I picked up many a Taylor Swift -themed gift to bring home. I loved the open-roof Red Jeep Tour, where we got to swing by the Don’t Worry Darling set. But animals take preference over humans for me so the fact that I had my last night at a bar and restaurant that even gives dogs their own entrance and menu is 5 stars from me! And not only that, but they encouraged me to drink cocktails, as the proceeds from the Go Fetch Frosé go to a local animal shelter. God, heading home after this trip was hard - can someone become famous so I can be part of your entourage and go back to Palm Springs? BOULDER, Colo. — A 72-year-old lifelong Colorado fan with end-stage kidney failure waited to the side of the field in his wheelchair for Travis Hunter and the rest of the Buffaloes. One by one, players strolled over and signed a football for Riley Rhoades, his face lighting up with each signature. Standing close by and taking in the scene was Jeremy Bloom. He's become a wish facilitator for older adults. Bloom, the former Colorado wide receiver and Olympic freestyle skier, started the Wish of a Lifetime foundation in 2008, which has made thousands of aspirations turn into reality for older adults. The list of granted wishes range from taking veterans back to the beaches of Normandy to helping late-in-life authors publish a book. He's staged concerts for musicians, assisted some in daredevil feats such as jumping out of an airplane and even lined up a meeting between an Olympic medalist and former President Barack Obama. For Rhoades, his wish was simply to return to Folsom Field again, the place where he used to have season tickets but hasn't attended a game since 2004. "Everybody has somebody in their life —a grandparent, friend, neighbor — at that age where you wish you had more resources to help," said Bloom, whose college career was cut short two decades ago when the NCAA denied his reinstatement to play football and still ski professionally after receiving endorsement money to fuel his Olympic dreams. "Nothing can compare to seeing someone else's eyes light up because you helped make their dream come true." The foundation is a tribute to his grandparents. But the concept began to take root when he was a teenager. He was in Japan for a World Cup freestyle skiing competition when a woman tried to hop on a crowded bus. There was no room, but everyone in front rose from their seats to make space. That stuck with him, along with seeing these acts of kindness for older adults all over Europe and Asia as he traveled. An idea formed — bring that same level of appreciation to the United States, with a wish-granting element. Bloom's organization has been a charitable affiliate of AARP since 2020. It was the yearning of Rhoades that brought the two of them to Folsom Field last weekend. Rhoades, who had season tickets at Colorado for 27 years, wanted to see the Buffaloes in person after watching the team's resurgence on television. A few years ago, Rhoades, who was born with spina bifida, was diagnosed with end-stage renal failure. Being among the 54,646 fans Saturday stirred up plenty of emotions for Rhoades, as he watched the 16th-ranked Buffaloes (8-2, 6-1 Big 12, No. 16 CFP) beat Utah. Colorado remains in the race for not only a conference title but a spot in the College Football Playoff. "It's just great to be back here again," Rhoades said as he pointed out the section where he used to watch games. "It's just ... so cool." For Bloom, the success that coach Deion Sanders has brought to the program means more reunions with teammates as they pass through town. "I've been through many years where nobody comes to visit," Bloom said. "It's fun that Boulder has become the epicenter of college football." Leading the way for Colorado this season have been quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way star Hunter, who's the Heisman Trophy frontrunner. But what particularly pleases Bloom is that Sanders, Hunter and the rest of college football players are able to finally profit through name, image and likeness. In his day, Bloom got caught in the NCAA crosshairs for wanting to play both sports and to have sponsors in one (skiing) so he could fund his Olympic aspirations. How time have changed. "I'm just really grateful that this generation of athletes gets to monetize their skills and ability," said Bloom, who finished sixth in moguls at the 2006 Winter Games in Italy. "It's the right thing." He's thrown his passion into fulfilling wishes such as learning ballet, riding in a Formula 1 pace car or taking a flight in a fighter jet. He's also helped reconnect families and friends, including a reunion for a trio of centenarian sisters who hadn't seen each other in more than a decade. This granted wish has stuck with Bloom: A person in Alabama wasn't able to travel after being diagnosed with end-of-life emphysema. So he asked for postcards to be sent, just to learn what made someone's town so special. He received 2,000 postcards from 26 different countries. "There's no end to the things that they've done for us in the world," Bloom said of older adults. "We're one of the organizations that reminds them that their dreams still do matter and that we still appreciate them and we cherish them." Tetairoa McMillan, one of the best wide receivers in Arizona history, will skip his final year of eligibility and enter the 2025 NFL Draft, he announced on social media on Thursday. Projected as a top-10 draft pick, the 6-foot-5, 212-pound McMillan finished his illustrious career at Arizona with 3,423 receiving yards, breaking the mark set by Bobby Wade (3,351). In three seasons, the Hawaii native also posted the fourth-most catches (213) and third-most touchdowns (26) in school history. "Wildcat Nation, this journey has been everything I dreamed of and more," McMillan wrote on Instagram. "From the moment I committed to the University of Arizona, to every second spent wearing that Arizona jersey ... it's been an absolute honor. "The University of Arizona has provided me with the platform to grow and chase my dreams. ... Thank you from the bottom of my heart. To the best fans in the country, I appreciate you for all of the love and support you have given me these last 3 years. I will always be a Wildcat." In 2024, McMillan totaled 84 grabs (ninth in Division I) for 1,319 yards (third in Division I) and eight touchdowns for the 4-8 Wildcats. He also ranked third in Division I with 109.9 receiving yards per game. McMillan is a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, given to the most outstanding receiver in college football. --Field Level MediaKobe Sanders, Nevada beat Oklahoma St. for fifth place in CharlestonBOULDER, Colo. — A 72-year-old lifelong Colorado fan with end-stage kidney failure waited to the side of the field in his wheelchair for Travis Hunter and the rest of the Buffaloes.
