A young man who was slashed to death in a violent knife fight near Melton has been remembered as a keen footballer who came from a “loving Christian home”. Known among his friends and family as Kon, the 18-year-old was left for dead after a bloody brawl involving more than 40 youths wielding knives and machetes at Kurunjang on Friday. Kon was stabbed during the targeted attack that unfolded just metres from his home on McBurnie Drive about 7pm that night. He was a vibrant spirit who brought joy and laughter to everyone around him,” a club statement read. “His cheeky grin and infectious enthusiasm for life made him a cherished friend to all. “On the field, Kon was a reliable half-back flanker who embraced every challenge with determination. “He had a natural talent for taking the game on, inspiring his teammates and captivating our supporters.” The club affectionately recalled Kon’s enthusiasm and excitement over joining the Panthers, where he recently played in the under 17 boys premiership team. “His contributions were invaluable, and his presence will be dearly missed,” the club added. “His passion for football and commitment to the Melton South Junior Football Club will forever resonate within our club. “Kon, you will always hold a special place in our hearts, especially your teammates and coaches and parents. “We are grateful for the memories we shared on and off the field and the joy you brought into our lives. “Rest in peace, You will always be a panther.” The club said Kon will always hold a special place in the hearts of his teammates. Golan spoke in general terms and was not involved in Netanyahu’s care or treatment. He said an enlarged prostate can block proper emptying of the bladder, leading to a build-up of urine that can lead to an infection or other complications. After medicinal treatment, doctors can recommend a procedure to remove the prostate to prevent future blockages, Golan said. In Netanyahu’s case, because the prostate is not cancerous, Golan said doctors will likely perform an endoscopic surgery, carried out by inserting small instruments into a body cavity, rather than making surgical cuts in the abdomen to reach the prostate. The Additional Chief Secretary (Transport) has written to Chief Minister Atishi denying the allegation that a probe is being planned against her in connection with the free bus travel scheme for women. “My attention is drawn to news reports on television and social media wherein former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is seen alleging that an inquiry is being contemplated in the Transport Department implicating your good self. I would like to place on record that no such inquiry has even been contemplated by the Transport Department,” he said in his letter dated December 26. The officer said no communication has been received from the Delhi Vigilance Department in this regard. “The aforesaid claim is absolutely misplaced and misleading,” he added. The accusation Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal had on December 25 alleged that the BJP-led Centre was “hatching a conspiracy” to arrest Ms. Atishi with the help of Central probe agencies in a false case related to the Transport Department to stop the pink ticket scheme, which enables women to travel free on public buses in the city. Mr. Kejriwal also alleged that they had received information from their credible sources that a meeting was held between officials of the Enforcement Directorate, Central Bureau of Investigation, and Income Tax Department, where orders were given from “higher-ups” to arrest Ms. Atishi and conduct raids on senior AAP leaders, including Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh. The former CM claimed that this was being done to prevent AAP from focusing on the Delhi Assembly poll due in February next year. ‘False claims exposed’ Reacting to the officer’s letter to the Chief Minister, the BJP said that the communication has exposed “false claims” of Mr. Kejriwal. BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva alleged that Mr. Kejriwal “keeps his colleagues intimidated and politically misled”. “He tried to spread similar confusion regarding the investigation and possible arrest of Chief Minister Atishi. However, the Transport Department’s officer has exposed Kejriwal’s conspiracy,” he added.
