ISLAMABAD (AP) — Pakistani security forces launched an operation Tuesday night to disperse supporters of imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan who had gathered in the capital to demand his release from prison. The latest development came hours after thousands of Khan supporters, defying government warnings, broke through a barrier of shipping containers blocking off Islamabad and entered a high-security zone, where they clashed with security forces, facing tear gas shelling, mass detentions and gunfire. Tension has been high in Islamabad since Sunday when supporters of the former prime minister began a “long march” from the restive northwest to demand his release. Khan has been in a prison for over a year and faces more than 150 criminal cases that his party says are politically motivated. Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, led the protest, but she fled as police pushed back against demonstrators. Hundreds of Khan’s supporters are being arrested in the ongoing nighttime operation, and police are also seeking to arrest Bibi. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi told reporters that the Red Zone, which houses government buildings and embassies, and the surrounding areas have been cleared. Leaders from Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, or PTI, have also fled the protest site. Earlier Tuesday, Pakistan’s army took control of D-Chowk, a large square in the Red Zone, where visiting Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is staying. Since Monday, Naqvi had threatened that security forces would use live fire if protesters fired weapons at them. “We have now authorized the police to respond as necessary,” Naqvi said Tuesday while visiting the square. Before the operation began, protester Shahzor Ali said people had taken to the streets because Khan had called for them. “We will stay here until Khan joins us. He will decide what to do next,” Ali said. “If they fire bullets again, we will respond with bullets,” he said. Protester Fareeda Bibi, who is not related to Khan’s wife, said people have suffered greatly for the last two years. “We have really suffered for the last two years, whether it is economically, politically or socially. We have been ruined. I have not seen such a Pakistan in my life,” she said. Authorities have struggled to contain the protest-related violence. Six people, including four members of the security services, were killed when a vehicle rammed them on a street overnight into Tuesday. A police officer died in a separate incident. Dozens of Khan supporters beat a videographer covering the protest for The Associated Press and took his camera. He sustained head injuries and was treated in a hospital. By Tuesday afternoon, fresh waves of protesters made their way unopposed to their final destination in the Red Zone. Most demonstrators had the flag of Khan’s party around their shoulders or wore its tricolors on accessories. Naqvi said Khan’s party had rejected a government offer to rally on the outskirts of the city. Information Minister Atta Tarar warned there would be a severe government reaction to the violence. He said the government did not want Bushra Bibi to achieve her goal of freeing Khan. “She wants bodies falling to the ground. She wants bloodshed,” he said. The government says only the courts can order Khan’s release. He was ousted in 2022 through a no-confidence vote in Parliament. In a bid to foil the unrest, police have arrested more than 4,000 Khan supporters since Friday and suspended mobile and internet services in some parts of the country. Messaging platforms were also experiencing severe disruption in the capital. Khan’s party relies heavily on social media and uses messaging platforms such as WhatsApp to share information, including details of events. The X platform, which is banned in Pakistan, is no longer accessible, even with a VPN. Last Thursday, a court prohibited rallies in the capital and Naqvi said anyone violating the ban would be arrested. Travel between Islamabad and other cities has become nearly impossible because of shipping containers blocking the roads. All education institutions remain closed. Pakistan's Stock Exchange lost more than $1.7 billion Tuesday due to rising political tensions, according to economist Mohammed Sohail from Topline Securities. So Luton is to stop all vehicle production after the owner of Vauxhall announced the closure of its van factory. Why? It is easy to throw around the blame. The owner of Vauxhall is now Stellantis, which was formed by Chrysler, Fiat and Peugeot-Citroen getting together in 2019. So the company could be accused of wanting to shut plants in Britain rather than in France, Italy or the US. Or you could blame this Government’s drive to stop companies selling petrol and diesel cars and vans in the UK in five years’ time. That was “a significant part” of the reason behind the decision, the company said. It has certainly had a reaction. The Business Secretary, Jonathan Reynolds, told the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders’ dinner on Tuesday that the Government was launching a consultation about reforming the rules about the pace at which manufacturers will be forced to switch to electric vehicles . Wider retreat from manufacturing Or you could simply say this is part of the much wider retreat from manufacturing that the UK has experienced over the past half-century – though it is worth noting that the same pattern is being repeated across the rest of the developed world. But rather than trying apportion to blame, it is surely more helpful – and actually more hopeful – to set what is happening into its longer-term context. So let’s step back a bit, starting with a sad note, for this ends 120 years of tradition. It was in March 1905 that the Vauxhall company moved to Luton, making beautifully-engineered luxury cars that vied with Rolls-Royce, Mercedes and Hispano-Suiza at the top end of the pre-First World War market. The success didn’t last. The cars were too expensive, profits turned to losses and in 1925 Vauxhall was taken over by General Motors, anxious to match Ford’s incursion into the UK market. American flash Purists may disagree – GM’s Vauxhalls were mass-market products, not “real” ones for the wealthy – but American expertise in mass production turned Luton into a manufacturing powerhouse. Bedford lorries and vans were a huge success, with a reputation for reliability around the world. The factory built the Churchill tank in the Second World War, and from the 1950s onwards brought a bit of American flash into the drab British car market. Read Next The election petition is the worst of Brexit all over again Along with most of the rest of the UK’s car manufacturers , GM was plagued by quality and labour problems, and eventually stopped making cars at Luton in 2002, though it carried on building vans in association with Renault. Car production was switched to the newer plant at Ellesmere Port – where apparently Stellantis will now focus all its UK business. The company has promised an extra £50m of investment there. We will see. But looking back at the history, it isn’t fair to blame foreign ownership as such for the demise of Luton. After all, it was GM that rescued Vauxhall, and turned a small specialist car firm into a global business. More broadly, Nissan in Sunderland has been a huge success and it was the foreign ownership of Tata at Jaguar Land-Rover that turned round the fortunes there. Push customers towards China So what about the Government’s policy on pushing the industry towards a faster switch towards electric cars? There are two points here. One is that elected governments will have environmental and social policies that carry economic costs, and the important thing is that those costs should be made clear. But they make mistakes. If it is true, as Stellantis says, that the Government’s electric vehicle mandate was an important reason behind the closure, then this is a cost. Jonathan Reynolds should be commended for his candour in acknowledging that the mandate “isn’t working as intended”. Nissan says that EV rules are undermining the case for making cars in Britain, and given its importance it should certainly be listened to. The other point is that, Tesla apart, electric car production is dominated by China . Last year it made 58 per cent of the world’s pure electric and plug-in electric cars. It will probably be higher still this year. So forcing people in Britain to buy electric is, in effect, to push them towards China. Golden years The question then, aside from whether this is really a wise policy, is how to persuade Chinese manufacturers to develop more of their business here. More design work? An assembly plant for MGs and other Chinese-owned companies? This isn’t just about the loss of jobs in Luton. It is about the wider strategic implications of our policy towards the motor industry. All this is dispiriting. The UK does have an excellent high-tech manufacturing sector, though it is proportionately slightly smaller than that of most developed countries, at around 9 per cent of GDP. But it has a much wider impact on the economy as a whole, and a recent paper by Oxford Analytics argued that if you take into account its UK-based supply chains it accounted for nearly a quarter of GDP. It also invests heavily in new technologies, with nearly half of the country’s research and development. There is lots of anecdotal evidence that craft manufacturing is booming too. So de-industrialisation may be coming to an end, and the challenge is to exploit the UK’s top-end competitive advantage – just as Vauxhall did in its golden years before the First World War. Where is there growth for Luton ? Getting out of motor production has been a long and painful process, because the growth of Vauxhall in effect crowded out other potential businesses. It has also suffered from the decline of the hat business , the problem there being that people don’t seem now to wear hats as they did even half a century ago – or at least not crafted ones. However on one simple measure, Luton is still a success story: population growth. Its physical location near London has proved a huge magnet, and Luton’s population climbed over the decade to 2021, rising by 11 per cent to 225,000; it is currently estimated at 230,000. That is faster growth than that of England as a whole. One of the principal drivers has been the airport, now planning to increase passenger numbers to 19 million a year . There is a plan to push numbers up much further , to 32 million by the 2040s. That would make it UK’s number three airport after Heathrow and Gatwick, passing Stansted and Manchester. The rationale is that it is better located than Stansted, with a much larger catchment area both for workers and passengers. But there is, as always, opposition, so we will see. The really interesting question is whether Luton is already in the early stages of a wider renaissance. Population growth is one measure, because people go to places where there are jobs. But being an affordable commuter town for Londoners seeking a bit more space is probably a bigger driver. The challenge there is to use its commuter town status to benefit the local economy too. Luton is in the southern flank of the Oxford/Cambridge arc that the previous government described in a consultation document. There are various elements to the plan, including at last a direct rail link between the two university cities. But from Luton’s point of view, the exciting prospect is sharing a role in the creative, technical and educational opportunities in this region – to be an integral part of an area of extraordinary prosperity, rather than a former industrial town trying to replace the lost jobs. The point is this. Towns cannot change their location – but they can play to their strengths, and in the case of any town near the M25, location is a positive. Luton has a large and vigorous immigrant population. For them, stitching in to the arc of prosperity between Oxford and Cambridge is a huge opportunity. NEW HOPE, Pa. (AP) — Dayle Haddon, an actor, activist and trailblazing former “Sports Illustrated” model who pushed back against age discrimination by reentering the industry as a widow, has died in a Pennsylvania home from what authorities believe was carbon monoxide poisoning. Authorities in Bucks County found Haddon, 76, dead in a second-floor bedroom Friday morning after emergency dispatchers were notified about a person unconscious at the Solebury Township home. A 76-year-old man police later identified as Walter J. Blucas of Erie was hospitalized in critical condition. Responders detected a high level of carbon monoxide in the property and township police said Saturday that investigators determined that “a faulty flue and exhaust pipe on a gas heating system caused the carbon monoxide leak.” Two medics were taken to a hospital for carbon monoxide exposure and a police officer was treated at the scene. As a model, Haddon appeared on the covers of Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Elle and Esquire in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as the 1973 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. She also appeared in about two dozen films from the 1970s to 1990s, according to IMDb.com, including 1994’s “Bullets Over Broadway,” starring John Cusack. Haddon left modeling after giving birth to her daughter, Ryan, in the mid-1970s, but then had to reenter the workforce after her husband's 1991 death. This time she found the modeling industry far less friendly: “They said to me, ‘At 38, you’re not viable,’” in 2003. Working a menial job at an advertising agency, Haddon began reaching out to cosmetic companies, telling them there was a growing market to sell beauty products to aging baby boomers. She eventually landed a contract with Clairol, followed by Estée Lauder and then L’Oreal, for which she promoted the company's anti-aging products for more than a decade. She also hosted beauty segments for CBS’s “The Early Show.” "I kept modeling, but in a different way," she told The Times, “I became a spokesperson for my age.” In 2008, Haddon founded WomenOne, an organization aimed at advancing educational opportunities for girls and women in marginalized communities, including Rwanda, Haiti and Jordan.' Haddon was born in Toronto and began modeling as a teenager to pay for ballet classes — she began her career with the Canadian ballet company Les Grands Ballet Canadiens, . Haddon's daughter, Ryan, said in a social media post that her mother was “everyone’s greatest champion. An inspiration to many.” “A pure heart. A rich inner life. Touching so many lives. A life well lived. Rest in Light, Mom,” she said.UConn announced a two-year contract extension for head football coach Jim Mora on Saturday, just before the team took the field for the Fenway Bowl against North Carolina. Mora’s contract extension will run through 2028 and will pay him $10 million through the remaining four years, with the opportunity to earn more in incentives. The 63-year-old coach is set to make $1.7 million next season, $1.9 million in 2026 and $2.3 and $2.4 million in 2027 and 2028, respectively. UConn then went out and thrashed North Carolina, 27-14, in a game that wasn’t as close as the score indicated. “I am forever grateful. I’m grateful to (athletic director) David (Benedict) and (school president) Radenka (Maric) and the Board of Trustees, but this is about what the (UConn players) did today,” Mora said when asked about the extension in the postgame press conference. In a statement released by UConn ahead of the game, Mora said: “I’d like to thank David Benedict, Radenka Maric and the University of Connecticut leadership for their trust in me and their commitment to our football program. When I first got here, I talked about where we wanted this program to go and we have shown great progress but we still have plenty of work to do. The commitment and dedication from the university and the athletic department has me excited about the future for our football team.” “Three years ago, I tasked Jim Mora with the challenge of leading our football team back to success and through his experience, energy and leadership he has done just that,” UConn athletic director David Benedict said in a statement. “He has taken our program to post season bowl games twice and just guided our team to one of the best seasons in UConn football history, building a momentum to keep this program moving forward. I look forward to his leadership of our football team in the years ahead.” Mora is coming off one of the most successful seasons in UConn football history, having led the team to an 8-4 record and an appearance in the Fenway Bowl. It’s the Huskies’ second bowl appearance in three years. UConn’s eight wins is the most for the program since 2010, and the Huskies had their first winning season since that year, too. A win Saturday would give UConn nine wins for just the third time in program history, with the last two such seasons coming in 2003 and 2007. UConn quarterbacks coach Brad Robbins is heading to Tulsa as an offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, according to a report from CBS Sports. Robbins was part of a coaching staff that helped the offense produce its most prolific attack since the 2009 season and fifth-most in program history (32.3 points per game). Robbins worked at FCS Tennessee Tech and Division II North Greenville before joining Jim Mora’s staff in spring 2023. Get local news delivered to your inbox!

Raymond Epps, whose claims against Fox were featured in a “60 Minutes” segment, said the network's false reports subjected him and his wife to death threats and forced them to move from their Arizona home. Northern lights may be faintly visible across parts of the US this Thanksgiving NEW YORK (AP) — Solar storms may produce faint auroras across the northern rim of the United States this Thanksgiving. Pale auroras may be seen Thursday and Friday across northern states including Montana, Minnesota and upper New York — as well as much of Minnesota, Montana, Wisconsin and Michigan. NOAA meteorologist Matt Bettwy says the auroras may last only briefly, and seeing them will depend on how intense the solar storms get. To spy the spectacle, wait for clear skies to get dark and then go outside away from bright city lights. Taking a picture with a smartphone camera may also reveal hints of the aurora that aren’t visible to the naked eye. Landmark fish and meat markets in London to close, ending 1,000 years of tradition LONDON (AP) — Two of London’s most famous markets — one selling fish, the other meat — are set to close in the coming years, bringing an end to traditions stretching back to medieval times. On Wednesday, The City of London Corporation, the governing body in the capital city’s historic hub, is set to present a bill to Parliament to bring an end to its responsibilities to operate the Billingsgate fish market and the Smithfield meat market, both of which have existed in some shape or form since the 11th century. That comes a day after the corporation decided not to relocate the markets to a new development just east of London in Dagenham. What stores are open on Thanksgiving? Not many since most stay closed to prepare for Black Friday WASHINGTON (AP) — With Thanksgiving and the formal launch of the holiday shopping season, Americans will again be consumed with the annual trifecta of turkey, travel and transactions — lots of them. Most national grocery store chains are open on Thursday for last-minute needs, although many close early. Most big U.S. retailers are closed on Thanksgiving Day, either giving their staffs the day off or preparing for Black Friday. Many will open early on the day after Thanksgiving, which is typically the biggest shopping day of the year but has lost some of its frantic energy as more customers look for gifts online. The recall covers certain Santa Fe and Elantra vehicles from the 2021 and 2022 model years. Hyundai says in documents posted Wednesday by U.S. safety regulators that solder joints on a printed circuit board in can develop cracks that can worsen over time and cause the cameras to fail. That can reduce visibility and increase the risk of injury to pedestrians. Dealers will replace the cameras at no cost to owners, who will be notified by letters starting Jan. 19. Some of those Ocean Spray cranberries come from a bog in Massachusetts MIDDLEBORO, Mass. The cranberries have turned this pond in coastal Massachusetts a bright color of pinkish crimson. Several workers, up to their waist in water, gently corral the berries towards to a hose that suctions them up into a truck where they are transported to factories that dry them or turn them into sauce or juice. This bog is one of nearly 300 in Massachusetts that cover some 14,000 acres. This year, Massachusetts farmers are projected to produce 2.2 million barrels of cranberries, an increase of 12% over last year. Drake makes another legal move against Universal over Kendrick Lamar diss track 'Not Like Us' Drake has taken legal action against Universal Music Group for the second straight day in his feud with fellow hip-hop superstar Kendrick Lamar. The new filing in Texas alleges that UMG, the parent company of the labels for both artists, engaged in pay-to-play to get radio air time for the Lamar diss track “Not Like Us.” The song from earlier this year viciously attacks Drake, who says in the court petition that he could file a defamation lawsuit. UMG did not immediately reply to a request for comment. After a similar filing in New York on Monday, the company called Drake's allegations “offensive and untrue.” Harvey Weinstein files legal claim alleging lack of medical care and hygiene at Rikers Island jail NEW YORK (AP) — Harvey Weinstein’s lawyers have filed a legal claim against New York City over allegedly substandard medical treatment and unhygienic conditions. The notice of legal claim filed Tuesday says the 72-year-old former film mogul has been denied medical care while jailed at the city's notorious Riker's Island jail complex. An appeals court has issued a ruling nullifying his 2020 rape conviction in New York, but he faces a retrial. He has denied any wrongdoing. The claim seeks $5 million in damages for mistreatment. Weinstein’s eponymous film production company went into bankruptcy proceedings after his convictions. Marilyn Manson drops lawsuit against Evan Rachel Wood LOS ANGELES (AP) — Rocker Marilyn Manson has agreed to drop a lawsuit against his former fiancée, “Westworld” actor Evan Rachel Wood. In the 2022 lawsuit, Manson had sued Wood in 2022, alleging she had fabricated public allegations that he sexually and physically abused her during their relationship and encouraged other women to do the same. A judge threw out much of the lawsuit last year, and the two sides have now agreed to dismiss the rest of it. Manson also agreed to pay more than $300,000 in attorneys fees for Wood. Manson remains under criminal investigation by Los Angeles County prosecutors. He has denied ever engaging in non-consensual sexual acts.

Knix's Journey to Becoming a Market Leader in Menstrual HealthMichael Cheika's Leicester have snatched a thrilling 34-34 draw with Harlequins at Twickenham in England's Premiership Rugby. Veteran England prop Dan Cole, 37, scored in the 79th minute of Saturday's match when he placed the ball on the line as part of a forward-led assault on the whitewash by Leicester with Springboks star Handre Pollard nailing a tricky conversion. It is the third time in three meetings that the rivals have drawn in Harlequins' annual 'Big Game' fixture at Twickenham, which has now been running for 16 years. Cole had come on as a substitute for Leicester, who also have five wins and three losses and sit fifth, six points above Harlequins but 11 behind leaders Bath. "Dan's Leicester through and through. He's still as passionate as ever," former Wallabies coach Cheika said. "He's ripping into the guys at training. He could easily be saying 'I've done my bit, someone else should be taking over here'. But he's still investing so much into the club and the team. "It takes a while to get to know him but I've started to get to know him better and I'm really appreciating the effort he's making." Leicester played with greater cohesion but a self-destructive streak undermined their evening with first-half mistakes gifting their rivals two tries and providing England five eighth Marcus Smith with two easy shots at goal. Once Pollard's conversion had sailed over via the right upright there were still a few seconds remaining for Leicester to stage one final attack in search of the win, but halfback Ben Youngs opted to kick the ball into touch and take the draw. Cheika backed the decision. "It's usually my go to go for the win but to be honest we hadn't looked like making a break from long range all game," Cheika said. "And we didn't nail our opportunities from short range as well and we created a heap of them. "It felt like we got through that game on fight. "We've got three points and in the long game of the season, that was a well made decision.' - with AAP

Lifestance Health group director Robert Bessler sells $565,500 in stock“Last night and this morning, several of President Trump’s cabinet nominees and administration appointees were targeted in violent, un-American threats to their lives and those who live with them,” Trump transition spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said in a statement. She said the attacks “ranged from bomb threats to ‘swatting'”, adding: “In response, law enforcement and other authorities acted quickly to ensure the safety of those who were targeted. President Trump and the entire transition team are grateful for their swift action.” Swatting entails generating an emergency law enforcement response against a target victim under false pretences. The FBI said in a statement that it is “aware of numerous bomb threats and swatting incidents targeting incoming administration nominees and appointees, and we are working with our law enforcement partners”. It added: “We take all potential threats seriously, and as always, encourage members of the public to immediately report anything they consider suspicious to law enforcement.” Among those targeted was Elise Stefanik, Mr Trump’s choice to serve as the next ambassador to the United Nations. Her office said that she, her husband, and their three-year-old son were driving home from Washington for Thanksgiving when they were informed of a bomb threat to their residence in Saratoga County. “New York state, county law enforcement, and US Capitol Police responded immediately with the highest levels of professionalism,” her office said in a statement. “We are incredibly appreciative of the extraordinary dedication of law enforcement officers who keep our communities safe 24/7.” In Florida, meanwhile, the Okaloosa County sheriff’s office said in an advisory posted on Facebook that it “received notification of a bomb threat referencing former congressman Matt Gaetz’s supposed mailbox at a home in the Niceville area around 9am this morning”. While a family member resides at the address, they said “former congressman Gaetz is not a resident”, adding: “The mailbox however was cleared and no devices were located. The immediate area was also searched with negative results.” Mr Gaetz was Mr Trump’s initial pick to serve as attorney general, but he withdrew from consideration amid allegations that he paid women for sex and slept with underage women. Mr Gaetz has vehemently denied any wrongdoing and said last year that a Justice Department investigation into sex trafficking allegations involving underage girls had ended with no federal charges against him. The threats follow a political campaign marked by unusual violence. In July, a gunman opened fire at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, grazing the then-candidate in the ear with a bullet and killing one of his supporters. The US Secret Service later thwarted a subsequent assassination attempt at Mr Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, when an agent spotted the barrel of a gun poking through a fence while Mr Trump was playing golf.
Fourteen of the 18 NBA teams who played Monday night scored 100 points or more. Eight of the nine teams that won did so with 100-plus points in their favor. That included Knicks who totaled 145 points against the Nuggets, the Thunder who racked up 130 points over the Kings and the Mavericks who finished with 129 vs. the Hawks. But not the Magic . Not Jamahl Mosley ‘s squad that, in an 11-point win, didn’t crack 100 and held their opponent to fewer than 85. Orlando , without three opening night starters in Paolo Banchero (torn right abdominal muscle), Wendell Carter Jr. (left foot plantar fasciitis) and Jalen Suggs (left hamstring strain), improved to 8-0 when limiting opponents to less than100 points in its 95-84 win against the Hornets on the road. Charlotte (6-11) entered the contest averaging 110.6 points and Monday’s result marked just the third time (in 17 games) that it didn’t score at least 100. Perhaps more impressive, Orlando (12-7) is now responsible for two of those three sub-100 performances by the Hornets (Minnesota is the other team). For reference, the Magic are 4-7 when opposing teams score 100 or more. Relying on its defense is how Orlando has won games since Banchero’s abdominal injury Oct. 30 at Chicago. And, until his return and likely after it, defense is simply how the Magic will have to continue to win. Beede’s Breakdown: How Magic leaned on defense to win at Hornets “We have the personnel,” said guard Cole Anthony who scored 16 points off the bench after Gary Harris exited Monday’s contest in the first quarter and didn’t return with a left hamstring strain. “We shot 39% from the floor as a team. It’s hard to win games like that, but we just did that. “We can compete with anyone in the league,” he added. “That’s just what I believe. We’ve proved that and we’re going to continue to prove that.” Anthony’s effort off the bench was a part of a larger one in which the reserves outscored Charlotte’s 53-15. They also outscored their own starters 53-42. Charlotte’s LaMelo Bell had 44. But for Anthony, in particular, his performance that included a team-high 8 rebounds with 4 assists could bode well for the Magic moving forward. Harris is out for for Wednesday’s game vs. Bulls (7-11). Suggs and Carter are not listed on the injury report, meaning the latter is set to return after missing the past 12 games. Chicago played at Washington on the first night of a back-to-back Tuesday. Monday’s contest was just Anthony’s second scoring in double figures after he fell out of Orlando’s rotation. But even in limited action, Anthony has remained consistent with his work in the gym and his teammates have noticed that. “He’s a professional,” forward Jonathan Isaac said. “This league is not easy. Sometimes it’s just not your night. And sometimes you don’t have the opportunity for it to be your night. “But he’s kept his head down and waited for the right opportunity and it happened to be this game. He’s a big reason why we won this game.” In a stretch where Magic need all hands on deck to help Franz Wagner find ways to win, Anthony potentially getting back on track consistently on offense — where he’s shot a career-low 36.2% from the field — only helps. “I put a lot of work in,” he said. “And when stuff don’t go your way, it’s hard to sometimes cope with that. But I’ve just been trying to do what I can to stay ready. I’d love to do it again.” Jason Beede can be reached at jbeede@orlandosentinel.com Up next ...
