The provisional price (6% Li 2 O, CIF China) for this shipment is set at 8.25% of the battery-grade lithium carbonate price quoted on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange (GFEX) as of the shipment date. Sigma Lithium's operational and shipping consistency highlights the Company's robust production capabilities following the successful implementation of several efficiency initiatives at the Greentech Industrial Plant during the four-day annual maintenance shutdown in November. During this month we achieved continuous production of over 850 tonnes per day of lithium oxide for several consecutive days, reaching peak days of 900 tonnes per day, demonstrating the enhanced production capabilities of the Greentech Industrial Plant. As a result, the annualized production run rate reached full capacity of 270,000 tonnes and the Company expects to maintain this annualized production level going forward. " Our ability to maintain a consistent monthly shipment cadence is a clear reflection of our operational excellence, and reliability as a mature producer. It also highlights the stability we have achieved in the use of our proprietary dense media separation technology to produce lithium oxide at our Greentech Industrial Plant, " said Ana Cabral , CEO of Sigma Lithium. "We are delighted with ongoing partnership with IRH in Abu Dhabi which enhances our commercial flexibility to effectively navigate lithium demand seasonality. This collaboration enables us to capitalize on every opportunity to maximize business performance and secure better lithium pricing, even in the current market environment. With Phase 1 now operating at full capacity, we are working relentlessly to replicate this industrial success as we move forward with the construction of our second Greentech Industrial Production Plant. Giants coach Brian Daboll benched Jones in favor of DeVito following a loss to the Panthers in Germany that dropped New York's record to 2-8. The lawsuit says the assault left her heavily bruised and suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. In a memo sent to team officials, a copy of which was obtained by The Associated Press, the NBA revealed that the FBI has connected some burglaries to “transnational South American Theft Groups” that are “reportedly well-organized, sophisticated rings that incorporate advanced techniques and technologies, including pre-surveillance, drones, and signal jamming devices.” Red Bull brings wrong rear wing to Las Vegas in mistake that could stall Verstappen's title chances LAS VEGAS (AP) — Max Verstappen is suddenly in jeopardy of being denied a fourth consecutive Formula 1 title Saturday night. Noodles and wine are the secret ingredients for a strange new twist in China's doping saga Blame it on the noodles. That's what one Chinese official suggested when anti-doping leaders were looking for answers for the doping scandal that cast a shadow over this year's Olympic swim meet. Earlier this year, reports that 23 Chinese swimmers had tested positive for a banned heart medication emerged. None were sanctioned because Chinese authorities determined the swimmers were contaminated by traces of the drug spread about a hotel kitchen. In a strange twist, the leader of China's anti-doping agency suggested this case could have been similar to one in which criminals were responsible for tainting noodles that were later eaten by another Chinese athlete who also tested positive for the drug.Temecula Ringing in New Year With Annual ‘Grape Drop’ CelebrationNone
LeBron James and Bill Russell are the only players in NBA league history that has won four regular season MVP awards in five years. Nikola Jokic can potentially join them at the end of this season. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar won four in six years. And Michael Jordan won four in eight years during his dominant run. Will Jokic do it at the end of the season? It is not out of the realm of possibility. Of course, we are not having a LeBron James vs. Nikola Jokic discussion. But the Serbian player is close to achieving a rare feat. Nikola Jokic Could Replicate LeBron James’ Success Speaking on the latest Hoop Collective podcast , Brian Windhorst mentioned a stat that shows just how valuable Jokic is to the Denver Nuggets. Yes, if you watch the team play it is evident that everything revolves around Jokic, but this stat is incredible. Here is what Brian said, “When he is on the court. the Nuggets are 31 points per 100 possessions better on offense than when he’s off. For every hundred times they bring up the ball without him, they score 31 points fewer. I went and looked up because the last player to win four out of five MVPs was LeBron James. I went and looked at what the biggest differential was for him, and it was one year with the Cavs, it was ‘15. So when LeBron was at the peak of his powers winning four MVPs in five years, he was half as impactful on his team offensively as Jokic.” Winning four out of five regular season MVP awards will put Jokic in special company. With his fourth MVP award, he will join Russell, Kareem, Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain , and LeBron as players with four MVP awards. Are the Nuggets too Dependent on Jokic? Nikola Jokic leads the NBA in touches per game with 115.8 according to NBA stats . The fun part is that out of the top nine players on that list, only Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo , and Jalen Johnson are not point guards. In fact, Johnson is second with 96 touches per game. The stat that Windhorst mentioned perfectly paints the picture of the Denver Nuggets. They lack offensive fluidity without their MVP player and miss his production. They do not have a clear backup center and cannot get enough rebounds. Who Can Challenge Jokic for the MVP? We have to go through the usual suspects, Giannis, Jayson Tatum , Luka Doncic , and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander . Out of those four, Tatum and Shai seemingly have the most realistic chance to beat out Jokic for MVP. Giannis also averages impressive numbers, leading the league in points with 32.1. Yet, his team was among the worst in the East just a week ago. The Bucks have been in too big of a hole to get out and challenge the top two spots in the East. The Nuggets are fifth currently in the West, but they do have a winning record. Shai can make a case for the MVP with his averages of 28.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.3 assists. The Thunder are the favorites to win the West, and if they do it for a second year in a row, it will be hard to ignore Shai and his contributions. Luka was among the preseason favorites, but his production has fallen. He averages 28.1 points per game, 7.6 rebounds, and 7.6 assists on 43.5% shooting. Will Jokic Win his Fourth MVP? This year, Jokic is doing something even more impressive. As of November 22th, he averages more points than Shaquille O’Neal in his prime (29.7), more rebounds than Tim Duncan in his prime (13.7), and more assists than Chris Paul in his prime (11.7) according to Fadeaway World. Nobody has ever done that. It just speaks volumes to the sheer dominance of the Nuggets big man. We will not have a Nikola Jokic vs. LeBron James discussion even with a fourth MVP for the Serbian player. But he will replicate one of LeBron’s most impressive achievements, four MVPs in five seasons. Chris Hemsworth ‘s wife Elsa Pataky shared a rare family photo from the holidays! The 48-year-old model took to social media on Thursday (December 26) to offer a glimpse at her family’s Christmas celebration. The new photo featured all three of her and Chris ‘ kids – 12-year-old daughter India and 10-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan . Keep reading to find out more... Elsa shared the new picture on Instagram. In it, the entire family is wearing matching hooded pajamas that feature the Grinch. India , Sasha and Tristan are standing right behind her as she snaps the selfie, and Chris is in the background closer to their Christmas tree. “Hope you all had a great Christmas,” she wrote in the caption. This is the first time that Elsa has shared a pics of the family since September, when she uploaded adorable photos to celebrate Father’s Day in Australia . Sasha and Tristan have joined their parents at red carpet events, including the premiere of Transformers One and their dad’s Walk of Fame Star Ceremony . India attended the latter but opted out of taking photos. A post shared by Elsa Pataky (@elsapataky)Dec. 26—Most of Western Pennsylvania spent a good chunk of their Christmas Day watching the Pittsburgh Steelers get throttled at home by the Kansas City Chiefs, 29-10. Personally, I think those fine folks deserve a forum to vent. So here is my belated stocking stuffer for all of you. It's a holiday edition of "U mad, bro?" ------ Let's begin with Matt C. on social media. He has somehow figured out a way to ... still ... make the Steelers' recent three-game losing streak all about Kenny Pickett. But I'll play along since, clearly, this is his Christmas wish. First of all, I'm stunned to learn, judging by his avatar, that Matt is a Pitt fan. Never saw that coming. Secondly, no one ever said it was "all Kenny's fault." Kenny being a bust and it "all being his fault" is not the same thing. Fans with a functioning brain should probably be capable of figuring out that subtle, nuanced difference. If you can't, I hope this helps. Most football fans enjoy building snowmen this time of year. But you have fun building your strawman instead. ------ Here is an email from a guy named Mark in the wake of the loss to Kansas City. "Anxiously waiting for your Tomlin bashing." You say that as if I need to stop with him. You saw the play calling from the offensive coordinator and the pass blocking from the offensive line, right? ------ This Steelers fan is obviously fed up. Don't feel obligated. In the words of the head coach himself: "We want volunteers, not hostages." ------ I complained about the roughing-the-passer penalty on Patrick Mahomes during the game. This guy did not appreciate my opinion. Are you too dumb to know the difference between a person disagreeing with one call/rule and a person suggesting that there was overall officiating bias? Forget it. I'll answer that question for you. You are. ------ David poses an esoteric question about the Steelers. "Are they really fading? Or never that good — but playing good teams vs poor teams? Just showing how mediocre they always were. Just like our MLB team the same year after year ... not good and not trying to get any better." The Steelers beat five teams currently in the playoff bracket early in the season. They have lost to three consecutive teams who fit that description since then. So, they are fading — plummeting, actually. The attrition and deterioration surrounding the defense is the big reason why. Now, regarding the Pirates, all I asked for this Christmas was to avoid talking about them until late March. Please, let me stay in the holiday spirit just a little longer. ------ More sports —Airing of Grievances: Poor pass protection, rotten start, shoddy defense doom Steelers on Christmas Day —Steelers defense questioning its 'want-to' after 3rd straight subpar effort in loss to Chiefs —Steelers notes: Return of George Pickens doesn't boost sputtering offense ------ Rich is ticked off. But he makes some good points. "Move the Eagles game to the opener, swap the Chiefs with the Giants, and you have a team that's 3-3, 6-5, and now 10-6, just where they should be. A good, solid team that beats the teams they should beat (other than the annual bad loss, Brownies this year), and loses to the great teams. Folks were living a fantasy, paying attention to the 10-3 record ... believing 'Stillerz goin' to the Super Bowl.' They are what they are — maybe the best team since Ben was good, five or so years ago — but still a borderline division winner/wildcard that likely loses in the first round but may get lucky until the second round." Rich, that's all well said. The back-loaded schedule and the somewhat streaky nature of the season have warped the reaction to who his team really is. Win three in a row early. Drop two in a row. Win eight of nine. Drop three straight. If you space it out more evenly, this is roughly the team we were predicting coming out of training camp, with pretty much the same record we saw at this point last year. The only point I'll quibble with is this: It wasn't just one bad annual loss to Cleveland. If they had beaten Dallas and Indianapolis as they should have, they'd be 12-4 right now. In a way, that might make them even more fraudulent, but they'd at least be frauds with a one-game lead in the division. ------ We end with Sean. He's a big fan of the "Madden Monday"podcast. "You're normally a step above the regular Yinzer asking for a sample of Miller Lite at Giant Eagle on a Tuesday afternoon, but your buddy Madden — he's the (jerk) asking for a 2nd." What a minute. You have the nerve to send me this message and ... not even tell me which Giant Eagle hands out free Miller Lite on Tuesday afternoons? There is a Giant Eagle that gives out free beer on Tuesdays? VANCOUVER — Vancouver Canucks defenceman Filip Hronek is expected to be out until the end of January as he recovers from a lower-body injury. General manager Patrik Allvin issued a statement Tuesday saying Hronek underwent a successful procedure for the undisclosed ailment and is expected to miss about eight weeks. He says the 27-year-old Czech blueliner will not require surgery for an upper-body injury. Hronek hasn't played since going into the endboards hard late in Vancouver's 5-4 loss to the Penguins in Pittsburgh last Wednesday. He's been paired with captain Quinn Hughes for much of the season and registered eight points (one goal, eight assists) in 21 games. The Canucks (13-7-3) have dealt with a litany of notable absences this season, including all-star goalie Thatcher Demko, who remains sidelined with a knee injury, and star centre J.T. Miller, who's on an indefinite leave for personal reasons. This report by The Canadian Press was first published Dec. 3, 2024. The Canadian Press

UConn head coach Dan Hurley insists he's not overvaluing Wednesday night's game between his 25th-ranked Huskies and No. 15 Baylor in Storrs, Conn. Sure, it comes on the heels of the two-time reigning national champion Huskies (5-3) responding to losing all three games during the Maui Invitational with a blowout victory over Maryland Eastern Shore on Saturday. UConn, which had won 17 consecutive games entering the Maui tournament, fell 23 spots from No. 2 to nearly out of the Associated Press Top 25 poll released Monday. "I think it's such a long season and we're eight games in," Hurley said when asked about facing the Bears. "Our performance in Maui shocked the college basketball world and the sports world, and obviously a lot went on there." "I don't think it's a must-win game in Game Nine of the season, but it's an opportunity to play in Gampel (Pavilion), where we play great and are very comfortable, and we know we're gonna have a great crowd." "We also know we're playing a top-level team, so it's a big game for us and it's a big game for them." Wednesday's game signifies the start of a tough stretch in UConn's schedule. The Huskies will visit Texas on Sunday and challenge No. 7 Gonzaga in New York on Dec. 14 before beginning Big East play on Dec. 18 against Xavier, which fell from No. 22 to out of the poll on Monday. But let's go back to Saturday's 99-45 dismantling of the Hawks. Jaylin Stewart started in place of the injured Alex Karaban (head) and joined Liam McNeeley by scoring 16 points to put UConn back in the win column. Solo Ball contributed 12 points, Aidan Mahaney had 11 and Tarris Reed Jr. (10 points, 12 rebounds) and Jayden Ross (10 points, 10 rebounds) each recorded a double-double. "This experience they're getting, (Stewart), Jayden Ross, Solo Ball, these guys are going to keep getting better and better," Hurley said. "Jaylin Stewart has flashed. That Memphis game (in which he scored 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting), he flashed a lot in that one. "... These sophomores are just going to keep getting better and better. That's why I do think we do need the grace and support of our people here at UConn. Because they're going to be such different players in January and February." Coming off a split in the Bahamas, Baylor (5-2) bounced back from a 77-62 setback to then-No. 11 Tennessee on Nov. 22 with a decisive 91-60 victory over New Orleans last Wednesday. "I know we're all a little tired," Bears coach Scott Drew said. "Whenever you come back from the Bahamas and a trip like that, the first game, you can be playing in mud. And I think the guys did a pretty good job, for the most part." Jayden Nunn drained six of his seven 3-pointers in the first half and finished with a season-high 23 points to power Baylor past the Privateers. Robert Wright III scored 18 points, Jeremy Roach had 17 and Miami transfer Norchad Omier recorded his third consecutive double-double after finishing with 12 points and a season-high 13 rebounds. --Field Level MediaMickey, Minnie, Goffy and Wemby
World Cup selection drives US sevens star Maher's move to BristolAhmedabad: A 28-year-old woman from the walled city area on Wednesday filed a complaint with Shahpur police, accusing an unknown person of circulating an intimate video of her and her former husband on social media. According to the complaint, her former husband's phone, which had the video, was stolen over a year ago. She said the video was shot after the couple resumed living together after their divorce. They married in 2012 and legally separated in 2017 following disputes. They met again in 2020 and have since been living together in Shahpur and have a 14-month-old son. She told police that the video was recorded consensually in 2022 by her husband during a visit to his elder brother's residence. The phone was reportedly stolen on Jan 13, 2023, during a trip to a market in the city's east to buy kites. No complaint was lodged at the time. Ten days ago, the woman's cousin informed her about the private video circulating on social media. The couple unsuccessfully attempted to investigate the source and reported the issue to the cyber helpline number 1930, requesting immediate action to stop the video's further circulation. The complainant said the couple initially refrained from filing an official complaint due to embarrassment. She finally lodged the complaint with her parents' support, seeking investigation into the breach of privacy and identification of those responsible. New York has repealed a seldom-used, more than century-old law that made it a crime to cheat on your spouse - a misdemeanour that once could have landed adulterers in jail for three months. Governor Kathy Hochul signed a bill repealing the statute, which dates back to 1907 and has long been considered antiquated as well as difficult to enforce. "While I've been fortunate to share a loving married life with my husband for 40 years - making it somewhat ironic for me to sign a bill decriminalising adultery - I know that people often have complex relationships," she said on Friday. "These matters should clearly be handled by these individuals and not our criminal justice system. Let's take this silly, outdated statute off the books, once and for all." Adultery bans are actually law in several states and were enacted to make it harder to get a divorce at a time when proving a spouse cheated was the only way to get a legal separation. Charges have been rare and convictions even rarer. Some states have also moved to repeal their adultery laws in recent years. New York defined adultery as when a person "engages in sexual intercourse with another person at a time when he has a living spouse, or the other person has a living spouse." The state's law was first used a few weeks after it went into effect, according to a New York Times article, to arrest a married man and 25-year-old woman. State Assembly member Charles Lavine, sponsor of the bill, said about a dozen people have been charged under the law since the 1970s, and five of those cases resulted in convictions. "Laws are meant to protect our community and to serve as a deterrent to anti-social behaviour. New York's adultery law advanced neither purpose," Lavine said in a statement Friday. The state's law appears to have last been used in 2010, against a woman who was caught engaging in a sex act in a park, but the adultery charge was later dropped as part of a plea deal. New York came close to repealing the law in the 1960s after a state commission tasked with evaluating the penal code said it was nearly impossible to enforce. At the time, lawmakers were initially on board with removing the ban but eventually decided to keep it after a politician argued that repealing it would make it seem like the state was officially endorsing infidelity, according to a New York Times article from 1965.New York has repealed a seldom-used, more than century-old law that made it a crime to cheat on your spouse - a misdemeanour that once could have landed adulterers in jail for three months. Further assessments have since revealed the full extent of the injury, with Stokes set to undergo surgery in January, said an England and Wales Cricket Board statement. Stokes suffered the injury while bowling during the third Test against New Zealand in Hamilton last week. Stokes did not bat in the second innings of that match as England slumped to a 423-run defeat -- a result that meant his side still won a three-match series 2-1. “Something else to overcome...go on then!!!!!!!! I’ve got so much more left in this tank and so much more blood, sweat and tears to go through for my team and this shirt,” Stokes wrote on social media. “There’s a reason I have a Phoenix permanently inked on my body. See you on the field to f*** some s*** up.” Stokes previously missed this year’s home series against Sri Lanka and the first Test in Pakistan after tearing the hamstring on the same left leg in August. England’s next Test is at home to Zimbabwe in May. They will then host a five-match Test series against India starting in June before their pinnacle 2025/26 Ashes tour of Australia.
