He didn't at first the "dumb a--singer" he was referring to in the since-deleted tweet but then he posted a since-deleted selfie with Khalid looking cozy, confirming the identity with the caption: "B---h a-- [ninja emoji] lied and said that I broke into his house cause I didn’t want him." Singer and producer MNEK responded to Hugo's tweet, stating his actions were “loser Loser LOSER LOSER behaviour." There were other tweets calling out him out as well. In an email statement to Vulture, Hugo defended his actions. He wrote in part: [It’s] really funny how it works because my intentions was never to out someone who’s clearly been out already in the community in Los Angeles. My intentions was to share my story and share how he tried to use his power to silence me because I simply ended our relationship, he was afraid of what I might say." He went on to mention how people have began to "belittle" his person and direct death threats at him. He shared that from this experience, he's "learned from this is never allow anyone to silence me, it’s crazy that these people said I was chasing clout, when I was holding onto this for five years, and I finally had enough." Prior to the email statement, the Que Paso artist had previously posted a lengthy statement which made a similar point as he did not seem apologetic by his tweets. He stated, "if I had a chance to do it all over, I would do it again and again and again the same way.” Support poured in for Khalid following his coming out, with one fan expressing, "Sending you all the love! you are safe here." Another sympathized, "But you should've been able to tell the world on your own time. I'm sorry people are clout chasers." A third supporter remarked, "You never owe anyone any sort of explanation about your sexuality or your private life, I'm sorry that people felt entitled to this. Hope you're doing okay." An additional comment read, "Here's to being able to live authentically as yourself and who you were born to be. We love you, Khalid. Welcome to the cool kids club. Keep inspiring." Sir Keir Starmer was speaking at the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) conference in Estonia where he met leaders of other Baltic states. After signing an energy partnership with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store in Bergen, Sir Keir flew to Estonia where he spoke alongside Mr Store and their Estonian counterpart Kristen Michal. It provided a chart with the product, features, price, and store plus actual links. We use Claude to whip up a holiday dinner. It made an invitation to send to guests plus provided dishes with recipes and created a grocery list. But there are a few things to be aware of: the platforms themselves warn up front that it's not perfect and responses can be inaccurate. Price said A.I. sometimes has hallucinations. "Where they literally make up stuff," he said. "So be aware, double check your work." And Claude said it "is not intended to give advice, including legal, financial, & medical advice." ChatGPT also warns, "Don't share sensitive information. Chats may be reviewed and used to train our models." But bottom line? "This technology isn't going away. I wouldn't hide from it. I wouldn't be scared of it. I'd lean into it," Price said. Using A.I. can actually give you back time! "20 to 30-percent of everyone's day is spent just looking for information. So that 20 to 30 percent can just be reclaimed back. Automations account for 60 to 70 percent of someone's work day, so really what we're talking about on a business level is giving every worker four days of extra time per week. Can you imagine getting four out of every five work days back? A lot of that you can put to productive use, but a lot of that can be used spending time with your family and friends," said Price. BOSTON (AP) — Two men, including a dual Iranian American citizen, have been arrested on charges that they exported sensitive technology to Iran that was used in a drone attack in Jordan that killed three American troops early this year and injured dozens of other service members, the Justice Department said Monday. The pair were arrested after FBI specialists who analyzed the drone traced the navigation system to an Iranian company operated by one of the defendants, who relied on technology funneled from the U.S. by his alleged co-conspirator, officials said. “We often cite hypothetical risk when we talk about the dangers of American technology getting into dangerous hands,” said U.S. Attorney Joshua Levy, the top federal prosecutor in Massachusetts. “Unfortunately, in this situation, we are not speculating.” The defendants were identified as Mahdi Mohammad Sadeghi, who prosecutors say works at a Massachusetts-based semiconductor company, and Mohammad Abedininajafabadi, who was arrested Monday in Italy as the Justice Department seeks his extradition to Massachusetts. Prosecutors allege that Abedininajafabadi, who also uses the surname Adedini and operates an Iranian company that manufactures navigation systems for drones, has connections to Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard. They allege that he conspired with Sadeghi to circumvent American export control laws, including through a front company in Switzerland, and procure sensitive technology into Iran. Both men are charged with export control violations, and Abedini separately faces charges of conspiring to provide material support to Iran. A lawyer for Sadeghi, a naturalized U.S. citizen who was arrested Monday in Massachusetts, did not immediately return an email seeking comment. U.S. officials blamed the January attack on the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of Iran-backed militias that includes Kataib Hezbollah. Three Georgia soldiers — Sgt. William Jerome Rivers of Carrollton, Sgt. Breonna Moffett of Savannah and Sgt. Kennedy Sanders of Waycross — were killed in the Jan. 28 drone attack on a U.S. outpost in northeastern Jordan called Tower 22. In the attack, the one-way attack drone may have been mistaken for a U.S. drone that was expected to return back to the logistics base about the same time and was not shot down. Instead, it crashed into living quarters, killing the three soldiers and injuring more than 40. Tower 22 held about 350 U.S. military personnel at the time. It is strategically located between Jordan and Syria, only 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the Iraqi border, and in the months just after Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack on Israel, and Israel’s blistering response in Gaza, Iranian-backed militias intensified their attacks on U.S. military locations in the region. Following the attack, the U.S. launched a huge counterstrike against 85 sites in Iraq and Syria used by Iran's Revolutionary Guard and Iranian-backed militia and bolstered Tower 22’s defenses. SaharaReporters learnt that the panel was "quietly disbanded" after it upheld the Rivers State Local Government elections conducted by the administration of Fubara. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nyesom Wike, who is in a protracted political war with his former godson and governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has ordered the secret dissolution of the Special Court of Appeal in the FCT that gave a favourable ruling on the Rivers State Local Government Elections. SaharaReporters learnt that the panel was "quietly disbanded" after it upheld the Rivers State Local Government elections conducted by the administration of Fubara. SaharaReporters had reported that the Court of Appeal in Abuja nullified a judgement of the Federal High Court that barred the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from releasing the voters register to the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) for the conduct of local elections in the state. The appellate court panel, led by Onyekachi Otisi, had held on Thursday that the lower court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the suit. The court had held that Section 28 of the Electoral Act does not accommodate elections conducted by state governments but only federal elections, governorships, and area council elections in the Federal Capital Territory. "The Electoral Act does not apply to local government elections and the lower court lacks jurisdiction to entertain the appeal,” the panel had held. SaharaReporters had also reported that Governor Fubara approached the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja to overturn the judgement that barred the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, from releasing monthly allocations to Rivers State. "The panel that sat to hear the new appeal was headed by Justice Hamah Barka and it also has Justice Adebukola Banjoko and Justice Peter C. Obiora. Wike got upset and reached out to Senior Judicial officers and fixers. He secretly disbanded the first panel that gave the favourable ruling," a top source informed SaharaReporters. "Ironically Justice Barka had recused himself from the Rivers State issue in the panel earlier set for the same purpose saying he was under attack by some forces claiming he was compromised," the source further revealed. "The new panel approved by Wike is litigating on the matter from Abuja Where Wike's wife is also a senior judge," it was furthe revealed. "Wike is also enraged over the decision of the accountant general to pay Rivers allocation based on what he claimed was a mere “stay of execution." SaharaReporters had noted that the President Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government backtracked after it first said it would halt the October monthly Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) revenue payment to Rivers State, citing a court order as the reason. According to Bawa Mokwa, Spokesperson for the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, the decision to stop the payment is in respect of the court order, which bars the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Nigerian government from disbursing monthly allocations to the Rivers State government. The court order was obtained by the factional Rivers State Assembly, led by Martin Amaewhule, who had filed an originating summons against the Rivers State Executive, under the leadership of Simi Fubara. The Amaewhule faction had alleged that the Rivers State Executive was yet to comply with the order of a Federal High Court directing it to re-present the 2024 appropriation bill to the faction of the Rivers State House of Assembly. Mokwa, who spoke on Friday, emphasised that the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) would respect the court order, following due diligence until a contrary order is issued. She later on cited a subsisting appeal saying that the allocation could not be stopped. The FAAC typically disburses revenue to the three tiers of government, including states, local governments, and the federal government. Governor Siminalayi Fubara had approached the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja to overturn the judgement that barred the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, from releasing monthly allocations to Rivers State. The governor, through his team of lawyers led by Mr. Yusuf Ali, SAN, prayed to a three-member panel of the appellate court led by Justice Hamma Barka, to set aside a subsisting order of the High Court that compelled CBN from his state’s monthly allocation. The governor claimed the High Court judgement was given in bad faith. He urged the appellate court to allow his appeal marked CA/ABJ/CV/1303/2024, and nullify adverse orders that Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court made against the state in the judgement she delivered on October 30.Google has named Debbie Weinstein, a senior executive for the tech giant in the UK, as its president in Europe , the Middle East and Africa . Until now, Ms Weinstein has been the US firm’s vice president and managing director in the UK and Ireland , having previously worked at Unilever. She said her focus will be on “unlocking AI-powered growth for everyone”, calling the current AI boom a “pivotal” time for the tech giant. Google has joined many of its rivals in launching a string of high-profile generative AI products in recent times, led by the firm’s generative AI-powered assistant, Gemini. “Europe, the Middle East and Africa is an amazingly diverse and varied region, but the enormous growth opportunity that AI can create is universal,” she said. “My focus will be on unlocking that AI-powered growth for everyone – users, businesses, partners and governments across every part of the region. “I’m excited to be stepping into this role at a pivotal time, in a company where I’ve spent the last ten years and leading a region where I’ve spent much of my life.” Google employs more than 29,000 people across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with 56 offices across 35 countries in those regions working on many of the firm’s largest products, including its search engine, the Android mobile operating system and its Chrome web browser. But don't worry if you missed out on those strong gains, because one leading broker believes there's plenty more to come for this ASX All Ords stock. Broker tips ASX All Ords stock to rocket According to a note out of Bell Potter, it believes the defence and space systems company's shares are undervalued at present. Particularly following the of the sale of its Naval Satellite Communications subsidiary, EM Solutions, to Cohort plc last week. The two parties agreed on an enterprise value of $144 million, subject to customary adjustments. FIRB approval has already been obtained by Cohort. This means that completion is expected within six months. Commenting on the deal, the broker said: Whilst EM Solutions is a well performing business for EOS, it is ultimately non-core to the central business and its sale significantly strengthens the company's financial position. Completion of the transaction triggers the repayment of EOS's outstanding debt to WHSP ($64.4m) so post transaction we anticipate the company will have a cash balance >$100m, with no debt, and will be well placed to support future growth of the core business. Big returns In response to the update, the broker has reaffirmed its buy rating and $2.20 price target on the ASX All Ords stock. Based on its current share price of $1.34, this implies potential upside of approximately 64% for investors over the next 12 months. To put that into context, a $2,000 investment would turn into almost $3,300 by this time next year. That's if Bell Potter is accurate with its recommendation. As mentioned at the top, Bell Potter believes the market is undervaluing the stock at present. It concludes: We await further details regarding the subsequent impact on earnings and timing of transaction completion before updating our forecasts and valuation. From offering unlimited sick leave to giving them time off to bond with their pets or enjoy the company of their aging grandparents, firms are doing all this and more to retain the young workforce and enhance their productivity. According to the India Technology Industry Compensation Benchmarking Survey 2024 by Deloitte India and Nasscom, many firms earmark "well-being days" and offer joining bonuses, albeit tied to a two-year clawback. The survey was conducted across over 200 tech companies nationwide. "With Gen Z prioritising work-life balance , mental health and professional growth, it's essential for companies to adapt their approaches to attract and retain this emerging talent," states the report. Assuming he wins confirmation this time around, Ratcliffe is expected to bring a sharp focus on countering national security threats and foreign adversaries such as China and Iran to the role. The Prime Minister is set to visit British troops serving on Russia’s border as he says Ukraine will require more funding and capability. Sir Keir Starmer was speaking at the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) conference in Estonia where he met leaders of other Baltic states. After signing an energy partnership with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store in Bergen, Sir Keir flew to Estonia where he spoke alongside Mr Store and their Estonian counterpart Kristen Michal. Asked what else could be done to support Ukraine, Sir Keir said: “There is an ever-increasing demand for more capability. That is understandable, and Ukraine needs all the capability that it can get, so I think all of us have put in more capability into Ukraine by way of equipment.” He added: “A lot of money has been raised, funding has been raised, but more is going to be needed.” The Prime Minister’s also discussed making the economic case at home for continued support for Ukraine. Sir Keir said: “Making the case on the significance of Ukraine, making the case, to double down, linking it back to each of our countries – what does it mean for us if Russia succeeds, is a really important question that we have to answer with our people to make it clear why it is that we are so supportive of Ukraine, why it is that we must stand with our allies on this, why it is we must make sure that Nato is put in the strongest position as well. “Now, this is a different world to the world of 10, 20 years ago, to recognise the world that we are living in, there’s a positive case as well to be made. “Defence spending doesn’t sort of sit in a silo over here with no effect on the rest of the economy, no effect on technology. “It has a huge effect on technologies, the cutting edge of technology and change which can then be used in other areas. “It binds countries together. I think all of us have got joint projects on in terms of defence capabilities that bind us together. There’s a huge number of well-paid jobs that are very important to our economy in defence spending as well. “But we have to make that positive case. I don’t personally feel that we can sort of sit back and assume that all of those in our respective countries necessarily accept all of our arguments unless we make them in that positive way, which I do think the argument can and should and must be made. “But the challenge that you put to us is the right challenge, which is it’s very difficult when finances are tight, as they are in all of our countries.” On Tuesday morning the Prime Minister will meet Taavi Madiberk, the founder of Estonian tech start-up manufacturing low-cost air defence missiles, Frankenburg Technologies, which is planning to open a new office in London Specialising in the manufacture of the missiles, the rapidly growing company already collaborates closely with the UK defence industry, sourcing a significant portion of its subsystems locally, including from propulsion specialists Roxel in Worcestershire. Starting in September of 2027, all new passenger vehicles in the U.S. will have to sound a warning if rear-seat passengers don’t buckle up. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Monday that it finalized the rule, which also requires enhanced warnings when front seat belts aren’t fastened. The agency estimates that the new rule will save 50 lives per year and prevent 500 injuries when fully in effect, according to a statement. The new rule will apply to passenger cars, trucks, buses except for school buses, and multipurpose vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds. Before the rule, seat belt warnings were required only for the driver’s seat. Under the new rule, outboard front-seat passengers also must get a warning if they don’t fasten their belts. Front-center seats will not get a warning because NHTSA found that it wouldn’t be cost effective. The agency said most vehicles already have warnings for the outboard passenger seats. The rule also lengthens the duration of audio and visual warnings for the driver’s seat. The front-seat rules are effective starting Sept. 1 of 2026. Rear passengers consistently use seat belts at a lower rate than front passengers, the agency says. In 2022, front belt use was just under 92%, while rear use dropped to about 82%. About half of automobile passengers who died in crashes two years ago weren’t wearing belts, according to NHTSA data. The seat belt rule is the second significant regulation to come from NHTSA in the past two months. In November the agency bolstered its five-star auto safety ratings to include driver assistance technologies and pedestrian protection. Safety advocates want the Department of Transportation, which includes NHTSA, to finish several more rules before the end of the Biden administration, because President-elect Donald Trump has said he’s against new government regulations.
