Under the applicable NYSE American listing rules, the Company must by January 17, 2025 submit a compliance plan that demonstrates how it intends to regain compliance with the Listing Standards within 18 months of the receipt of the notice, or June 18, 2026. Tech billionaire Elon Musk spent at least $270 million to help Donald Trump win the US presidency, according to new federal filings, making him the country's biggest political donor. SpaceX and Tesla CEO Musk, the world's richest person, was an ardent supporter of Trump's White House campaign -- funneling money into door knocking operations and speaking at his rallies. His financial backing, which has earned him a cost-cutting advisory role in Trump's incoming government, surpassed spending by any single political donor since at least 2010, according to data from nonprofit OpenSecrets. The Washington Post reported that Musk spent more this election cycle than Trump backer Tim Mellon, who gave nearly $200 million and was previously the Republican's top donor. Musk donated $238 million to America PAC, a political action committee that he founded to support Trump, filings late Thursday with the Federal Election Commission showed. An additional $20 million went to the RBG PAC, a group that used advertising to soften Trump's hardline reputation on the key voter issue of abortion. Musk has been an ever-present sidekick for Trump since his election victory in November, inviting him to watch a rocket launch in Texas by his SpaceX company. Trump has selected the South African-born tycoon and fellow ally Vivek Ramaswamy to head the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, through which the pair have promised to deliver billions of dollars of cuts in federal spending. Alec Baldwin’s Western “Rust” had its world premiere at a film festival in Poland Wednesday, but the actor wasn’t present because he wasn’t invited. Baldwin’s presence would have been too “distracting,” said Kazimierz Suwała, the director of the international EnergaCamerimage film festival in the city of Torun. “We didn’t invite Alec Baldwin, and we never considered doing so,” Suwała told The Hollywood Reporter. “That would be too distracting. What this is about is honoring Halyna’s dreams for her work.” Suwała is referring to Halyna Hutchins, the Ukrainian-born cinematographer for “Rust.” Hutchins, an up-and-coming talent in the industry, was killed in October 2021, after Baldwin pointed a gun at her during a rehearsal on the film’s set outside Santa Fe, New Mexico. The gun went off, killing Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza. Baldwin has said he pulled back the hammer — but not the trigger — and the revolver fired. Though the veteran film and TV star called Hutchins’ death a tragic accident, he was charged with manslaughter. However, the case was ultimately dismissed on the grounds that the prosecution had failed to turn over evidence. It’s not known whether Baldwin would have gone to the festival if he were invited, said TMZ, which reported that he was spotted in New York City Monday, pushing a stroller. While Baldwin didn’t travel to Poland to walk the red carpet or to promote “Rust” at the screening, organizers held a moment of silence for Hutchins, the Associated Press reported . The festival is a popular industry event that is devoted to cinematography. Souza, a Palo Alto-based filmmaker and Fremont native, then introduced the film. Souza told the audience that he initially couldn’t imagine trying to finish the film after Hutchins’ death. “It just hurt too much,” he said. But Hutchins’ husband, Matthew, wanted the film to be finished, and came on board as executive producer. Baldwin also wanted to finish the film and returned to the set, which had moved to Montana. But like Baldwin, Matthew Hutchins didn’t attend the premiere. Moreover, Hutchins’ other family members also boycotted the event. “It was always my hope to meet my daughter in Poland to watch her work come alive on screen,” Olga Solovey, Hutchins’ mother, who lives in Ukraine, said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital . “Unfortunately, that was ripped away from me when Alec Baldwin discharged his gun and killed my daughter.” “Alec Baldwin continues to increase my pain with his refusal to apologize to me and his refusal to take responsibility for her death,” the statement from Solovey continued. “Instead, he seeks to unjustly profit from his killing of my daughter. That is the reason why I refuse to attend the festival for the promotion of ‘Rust,’ especially now when there is still no justice for my daughter.” It’s questionable whether anyone involved in the making of “Rust” will see much profit from it. It could be released sometime in the United States, but it’s not clear when or if it will been screened in movie theaters or go direct to streaming. NBC News reported that the audience response at the premiere was “polite.” “Rust” follows the story of a 13-year-old boy who is sentenced to be hanged after he fatally shoots a rancher by accident. He goes on the run with his estranged grandfather, played by Baldwin. The audience clapped through the film’s closing credits, strengthening their applause when a dedication to Hutchins appeared, NBC News reported. But a fair number of moviegoers left the theater before the credits ended and prior to a Q&A with Souza and with cinematographer Bianca Cline, who completed the movie on Hutchins’ behalf. New York-based film industry expert Rob Rosenberg said “Rust” could get “butts in seats” because of the public’s curiosity. And we were contacted by her friends, who told us that before shooting even began on ‘Rust,’ she told them that the film was very important to her and it was her dream to screen it at Camerimage.” One of those friends, cinematographer Rachel Mason, made an emotional speech at the premiere to defend the film. “I feel strongly that I need to make a statement about a very misunderstood film and the people who made it, who I believe are heroic people,” said Mason, who worked on a documentary about completing the film after Hutchins’ death. During the meeting, council member Davion Williams made a statement that has been criticized as antisemitic, while a public commenter who identified himself as "Uncle Ken" made comments that have been criticized as anti-Palestinian. For about 10 minutes, Williams spoke in response to public commenters who, as they have at numerous meetings, called for the city to make pro-Palestinian statements and cut ties to any company or organization that may have connections with Israel. After saying that the U.S. has many domestic issues to be concerned with and that a statement about Palestine wouldn't be anything more than a "token," Williams said that the issue goes deeper than "belief." "There's Jews, there's Gentiles, there's all the group of individuals that believe in peace, but there's a small element of individuals who have a lot of control over a whole lot — over music, over food, over media, over a whole lot of things," he said. "We somewhat hold a blind eye to it, and I know this might be uncomfortable to some of us, and I'm sorry, but it's the truth, and we don't know it. I just found out — I love Pringles. They're kosher. I just found that out. I stopped eating them." Williams went on to ask if people were truly prepared to divest from any ties to Israel, as well as to places like Sudan and the Congo, which activists have also accused of genocide or at least inequitable treatment. He continued on other topics — about why people would attack each other and whether people are accurately being educated about history. Williams said someone recently gave him a lot of information about "what's really going on." "Not to say that I have anything against people from Israel or Jewish individuals," he said. He claimed that Israel is simply defending itself from Palestine and suggested that the city should communicate with President-elect Donald Trump to end the violence "quickly and decisively." "They aren't victims; they started it," he said. "Finish it off." He also claimed that anyone who supported Palestine supported "political rapists" and murderers. Pointing at the list of previous public comments, he said, "There's a list. Find out who is against us." In a statement Monday, Feinen said the language used during that meeting does not reflect the values of the city of Champaign or the city government. "As elected officials, we are called to work with and listen to those on all sides of an issue, even if we disagree," she said.
