Introduction In the world of AI, new tools emerge every day. It is not always easy to determine whether they can be integrated into our daily lives to enhance them or if they’re simply unnecessary. Today we are taking a look at a rising category: AI summarization tools. Let’s dive deep into the subject and evaluate AI summarization’s usefulness. What is AI Summarization? AI-powered summarization refers to the use of artificial intelligence to obtain only key insights from long-form content. There are two types of AI summaries: abstractive and extractive. On one hand, extractive summarization selects and presents existing key points from the content. On the other hand, abstractive summarization offers a paraphrased, condensed version of the content. Why AI Summarization is Gaining Popularity Let’s see some of the reasons behind the rise of AI summarization’s popularity: Let’s dive into the main benefits of using AI summarizers: Limitations of AI Summarization Now that we explored the benefits of AI summarization, let’s have a look at the downsides of it: Use Cases of AI Summarization Many users can benefit from AI summarization, let’s review some use cases. There are many educational applications of AI summarization. Students, for example, can summarize their notes. This allows them to quickly extract the most important information, permitting easier information retention. Professors and researchers can also benefit from AI summarization tools. They can broaden their sources of information with limited effort. While this category might be more reluctant to use AI, we should not refrain from using AI in media and journalism. By summarizing articles, interviews, reports, or press releases, AI summarizers provide access to a wealth of information. They can also help to break language barriers. AI summarization can be used as a competitive advantage and productivity booster. By summarizing meeting notes, contracts, and long reports, AI tools help busy professionals save valuable time. While AI summarizers can not help with the creativity needed in these fields, they can help with inspiration. For example, with free to use ReadPartner YouTube Summarizer we can get the most important information from a long video, letting ourselves get inspired and saving time for more creation. Human vs. AI Summarization Humans will always have the advantage of emotional intelligence and creativity. This includes cultural and emotional interpretation, which AI cannot yet provide. On the other side, AI summarization stands out with its speed, scalability, and cost-efficiency. When comparing human and AI summarization it is important to analyze our needs. For standardized summaries, some AI tools are doing a great job. When it comes to more sensitive topics or when creativity is needed, it is still better to use the human brain. FAQ AI summarization tools are reliable for many tasks, especially when dealing with straightforward or factual content. However, their reliability depends on the quality of their training data and the complexity of the content. AI summarization saves time by quickly condensing large amounts of information, enhances productivity by allowing users to focus on analysis and decision-making, improves accessibility for non-experts, and delivers consistent results free from human bias. Yes. But, It depends on the tool. Some are format-specific, while others, like ReadPartner, are versatile and can summarize multiple content types, including YouTube videos, PDFs, articles, and websites. Conclusion AI summarizers are great time-saving tools, and we can not say they are useless. However, they can sometimes misrepresent information or miss important nuances. In conclusion, as is often the case, when it comes to AI summarization, it is important to choose our tools carefully and keep a critical eye. That said, it would be a missed opportunity to not use this technology to reclaim valuable time.Purpose Investments Inc. Announces 2024 Final Annual Income and Capital Gains Distributions For Purpose Mutual Fund Trusts with December 15, 2024 Tax Year-EndThe advancement of technology never stops, and with it, the demands of apps and operating systems evolve continuously. WhatsApp , the world’s most widely used messaging platform, adapts to the latest innovations to ensure optimal security and functionality. However, these improvements come at a cost: every year, some older devices fall off the compatibility list. Starting in 2025, a new range of smartphones will no longer support WhatsApp, forcing their users to consider upgrading their devices if they wish to continue using the service. Below, we explain the details and share the full list of affected phones. Why Does WhatsApp Stop Supporting Certain Phones? WhatsApp periodically reviews the operating systems it can support to implement its security updates and features. According to the platform, older devices often lack the technical capacity to meet these new demands. “Every year, we analyze which devices and software are the oldest and have the fewest users. It’s also possible that those devices lack the latest security updates or the functionality required to run WhatsApp,” states WhatsApp’s help center. From May 5, 2025, WhatsApp will only be compatible with devices running Android OS 5.0 and later, as well as iPhones with iOS 15.1 and above. This decision excludes a range of models from different brands that will no longer support the app. Updated List of Affected Devices The official list published by WhatsApp includes several popular models that were once trendsetters but will now become obsolete for the application. Apple Samsung Motorola Sony LG Lenovo Huawei Notifications and Measures for Users WhatsApp has confirmed that before the application ceases to support an operating system, users will receive in-app notifications. These alerts will include reminders about the need to update the device’s operating system. In some cases, updating the software might be enough to continue using WhatsApp. However, many of the devices listed will not be able to support newer versions of their operating systems due to hardware limitations, meaning a device upgrade will be inevitable. What Are Your Options if Your Phone Is on the List? If your smartphone is among the affected models, it’s essential to evaluate whether it’s time to upgrade. The current market offers devices that are safer, faster, and equipped with better features, even in budget-friendly ranges. Additionally, upgrading your device will not only ensure uninterrupted access to WhatsApp but also provide an enhanced experience with other applications. The advancement of technology is inevitable, but it’s also an opportunity to adapt to new standards and enjoy the benefits of innovation. If your phone is one of those losing compatibility in 2025, consider this an invitation to explore the modern options the smartphone world has to offer. Nació en Lima en 1992. Collin Hurst threw for 172 yards and two scores and ran for another for the Blue Hose (6-6, 4-4 Pioneer League). Reagan Andrew threw for three touchdowns and was intercepted once for the Bulldogs (9-3, 5-3). Jennings' 50-yard rush led to Hurst's 17-yard touchdown pass to Worth Warner to tie the game at 20 midway through the third quarter. Presbyterian's next possession began on the Butler 30 after a short punt from deep in Bulldogs territory, and five plays later Jennings scored from 10 yards out. Peter Lipscombe made it a 10-point lead with a field goal with 2:15 to go after a 15-play, 89-yard drive that took over 10 minutes. About a minute later, Andrew threw a 42-yard score to Ethan Loss but the Blue Hose recovered the onside kick. The Blue Hose defeated a ranked FCS team — Butler (9-3, 5-3) is No. 23 in the coaches poll — for the first time in its Division I history that began in 2007.
The San Francisco 49ers announced they have elevated LB Jalen Graham and CB Nick McCloud from the practice squad to the active roster. Additionally, the 49ers have signed S Tashaun Gipson Sr. to the 53-man roster. San Francisco placed LB Tatum Bethune on injured reserve. McCloud, 26, originally signed with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame in 2021. After spending training camp in Buffalo, McCloud was claimed off waivers by the Bengals. McCloud spent two months in Cincinnati before the Bengals waived him and he caught on with the Bills’ practice squad in 2021. He re-signed to Buffalo on a futures deal in 2022 and was claimed by the Giants coming out of training camp. New York re-signed him as a restricted free agent in 2024 but waived him in November before he caught on with the 49ers practice squad. In 2024, McCloud has appeared in eight games for the Giants and 49ers and recorded 14 total tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass deflection. Stewartville boasted too much talent in too many places to not repeat as state champions on Saturday in the Prep Bowl. The Tigers, seemingly masquerading as a small-school program, culminated an undefeated season with a 43-22 victory against Dassel-Cokato in the Class 3A title game at U.S. Bank Stadium. The defeat was so complete, Stewartville widened its margin of victory enough to warrant the mercy rule for a small portion of the fourth quarter. The win also gave Stewartville (14-0) a second consecutive perfect season, and the program’s 28th consecutive victory. Parker Wangen rushed for a touchdown, caught another and kicked a 25-yard field goal for Stewartville. Dassel-Cokato (11-2), the 2021 3A Champion, could not get off the U.S. Bank Stadium field. The Tigers went 8-for-11 on third down and 1-for-1 on fourth down. Stewartville, which entered the game with seven shutouts this season, allowed only 4.5 points per game entering the championship game.ATLANTA — The cycle of mediocrity had a chance to add something of meaning Saturday at State Farm Arena. Instead, no three-game winning streak for the Miami Heat, just a 120-110 loss to the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena and a 15-14 record going into Sunday night’s game against the Houston Rockets to conclude this three-game trip. After victories over the Brooklyn Nets and Orlando Magic earlier in the week, the Heat could not continue the success in the enduring absence of Jimmy Butler, even with the Hawks even more shorthanded. Unlike Thursday in Orlando, when the Heat overcame trailing almost the entire way, this time there was no breakthrough, even with guard Tyler Herro going for 28 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds and center Bam Adebayo with a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double. The Hawks got 28 points from forward Jalen Johnson, 26 from forward De’Andre Hunter and 15 assists from guard Trae Young. Five Degrees of Heat from Saturday’s game: — 1. Closing time: The Hawks led 35-28 at the end of the first period, 61-58 at halftime and 93-84 going into the fourth quarter. From there, a 29-foot 3-pointer by Herro pulled the Heat within 106-105 with 4:07 to play. It again was a one-point game with 3:28 to play after an Adebayo jumper. After two potential Heat go-ahead shots were off, the Hawks moved to a 110-107 lead with 2:39 to play on a pair of Hunter free throws. From there, the Heat misses continued, with Hawks running clock and moving to a 117-107 lead with 68 seconds left, effectively ending it. — 2. Waiting game: With Butler reportedly ramping up his workouts back in Miami, the Heat opened for the third consecutive game with Jaime Jaquez Jr. in his place. It was the fourth consecutive absence for Butler and his ninth of the season, with the Heat entering 4-4 in his absence. Butler already has been ruled out for Sunday night’s game against the Houston Rockets that closes out this three-game trip. The reasoning for Butler’s absence on the NBA’s injury report again on Saturday was, “return to competition reconditioning.” The expectation, amid a fluid situation that has included ample trade speculation, is that Butler will rejoin the Heat for the team’s next practice, which is scheduled for Tuesday at Kaseya Center, ahead of back-to-back home games the following two nights against the New Orleans Pelicans and Indiana Pacers. Asked pregame of perhaps growing accustomed to playing in Butler’s absence, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said, “Either way, we’ve proven that we can win regardless. It doesn’t matter.” — 3. More breaks: Even in Butler’s absence, the Heat again found themselves against an opponent at an even greater personnel deficit. Following up on the Heat’s two games in Orlando, when the Magic were without Paolo Banchero and Frank Wagner, among others, the Heat this time got the Hawks in Atlanta’s absences of Dyson Daniels, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Onyeka Okongwu. Three Heat players whose status was unsure going into the day all were available: Terry Rozier (knee), Nikola Jovic (ankle) and Pelle Larsson (ankle). That left Butler, Josh Richardson (heel) and Dru Smith (Friday’s season-ending Achilles surgery) as the only players not available to Spoelstra. — 4. All-Star competition?: Among those who figure to vie for one of the final Eastern Conference All-Star berths are Herro and Johnson. Johnson continually took it to the Heat in the paint, while Herro again made statements with the long ball. Johnson entered as one of just four players averaging at least 19 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists, along with Nikola Jokic, Domantas Sabonis and Giannis Antetokounmpo. For his part, Herro extended his career best streak of games with at least one 3-pointer to 63, six games off Duncan Robinson’s franchise record. Herro has now converted a 3-pointer in the season’s first 29 games, on Saturday breaking the longest such Heat 3-pointer streak to open a season, set in 1998-99 by Tim Hardaway. — 5. Going big: With first-round pick Kel’el Ware now seemingly entrenched in the Heat rotation, Spoelstra went big with the Heat’s first substitution, with Ware and Jovic entering together at that point. Another element of a revised rotation continued, with Alec Burks also among the Heat’s early substitutions. With Rozier and Larsson also part of the mix, it had Spoelstra going 10 deep by the early stages of the second period, perhaps in light of another game to follow Sunday in Houston. Ware again was largely nondescript in his 10 minutes, closing with four points and one rebound. ©2024 South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Visit sun-sentinel.com . Distributed by Tribune Content Agency, LLC.

San Joaquin General Hospital surgeons are the first in Northern California and Nevada to get a new surgical robot called Intuitive Da Vinci 5. The hospital has been using the Da Vinci 4 since 2017 and in that time, it's assisted more than 1,000 surgeries. "It's important to provide our patients with the latest technology," said Dr. Bassem Ghobrial, a colorectal surgeon at the hospital. Ghobrial also noted that the new tech is just an instrument for surgeons to use—not a replacement. "It's not automated in any way. The surgeon controls everything with the hands in order to do the surgery in a minimally invasive fashion," he said. The hospital said robotic surgery has a track record indicating improved outcomes in specific procedures compared to traditional open surgeries or laparoscopic procedures.
