The club is 3-5-2 in its last 10 games, and getting back into the post-season picture means they need to string a few wins together. The Senators went into Tuesday night’s action five points out of the final wildcard spot in the East, but the club was also only three points ahead of the last-place Montreal Canadiens. “Everyone is looking for success,” coach Travis Green said. “You look at the standings right now hovering around .500. The Senators don’t have any players who will make either Canada or Finland, but the Americans will be interesting to watch. We’re led to believe that Ottawa captain Brady Tkachuk is a lock to play for Team USA. That will allow him to finally suit up with his brother, Matthew Tkachuk of the Florida Panthers, in a meaningful competition. Matthew, who won the Stanley Cup with the Panthers last spring, was one of the original six players named to the American club in June. Brady has 13 goals and 28 points in 24 games with the Senators this year and answered Team USA GM Bill Guerin’s call by taking part in the IIHF world championship with his country last spring overseas. He was seemingly a lock for the roster coming into the season, but there are no guarantees he’ll make it after his underwhelming performance during the first quarter of the season. Sanderson has one goal and 14 points in 24 games this season, but is minus-15. Eleven of his 14 points have come on the power play, and that’s not good news for a player who averages more than 22 minutes per game. Sanderson is now projected to miss the roster in favour of the likes of Brock Faber, Adam Fox, Noah Hanifin, Quinn Hughes, Charlie McAvoy, Jaccob Slavin and Zach Werenski . ChatGPT has broken into the top 10 websites on the internet according to some statistics, and a new report says it’s pursuing the lofty 1 billion user milestone in the coming year. The company plans to do this primarily by investing in its own data centers, in addition to deploying several advertising strategies, according to the Financial Times . While OpenAI has become accustomed to lots of attention, the brand is looking to compete with contemporary companies, such as Instagram and TikTok, that have already amassed and maintained large audiences with stand-out products, Business Insider noted. Instagram hit a lofty 2 billion monthly user milestone in April 2024, with 500 million daily active users. Meanwhile, TikTok sustains over 1 billion monthly active users globally and 150 monthly active users in the U.S., according to Statista. Pune: A Pune rural police constable from Saswad recently fell prey to an online fraud. On Dec 12, cybercrooks gained access to his cellphone and bank account, siphoning off a whopping Rs2.3 lakh using phone banking services. The 40-year-old constable filed a complaint with the Saswad police on Saturday, leading to a case being registered under section 318 (cheating) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and relevant sections of the Information and Technology Act against an unknown individual. According to the constable, the fraud occurred when he scanned a QR code to pay a bill at a bakery in Saswad. He soon discovered that Rs18,755 had been debited from his savings account without his knowledge. Further investigation revealed that Rs12,250 had been siphoned from his salary account, leaving a mere Rs50 balance. "The constable received an OTP for a Rs 1.9 lakh transaction from his gold loan account, despite not sharing the OTP,yet the transaction was made through that account," the officer said. The crooks also attempted two transactions worth Rs14,000 using his credit card details. Fortunately, the constable promptly froze his banks accounts and credit card, preventing further fraudulent activities. "Preliminary investigation suggest that crooks gained access to the constable's cellphone and bank account through and APK file. The Republicans investigated him for the last two years of the Trump administration and found nothing. They have trashed him for the last six years in the press and for the last two years, the Republican-majority House has tried everything but to tar and feather Joe Biden and came up with nothing. So, let’s look at the charges Hunter Biden was convicted of. Number one: the gun that he had illegally for 11 days. The fact is the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives rarely has brought charges against a single person for the purchase of a single gun. Number two: tax issues. He cheated on his taxes (Yes. So has Donald Trump). He’s paid his back taxes and his late charges, so fine him and move on. This entire thing has been 100% political ploy. If I were President Biden, I would issue a pardon to every Cabinet member and their top assistants across the board. I would pardon retired General Mark Milley and all of the members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. I would issue a pardon for every executive level employee in the justice, defense, education, energy and border protection departments, Environmental Protection Agency, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and of course, Dr. Anthony Fauci. If this doesn’t go far enough to stop Trump’s witch hunt, I would issue a blanket pardon for the entire federal government. With this out of his way, Trump can make America great again. Where we live in terror whenever our kids go outside or, even scarier, go to school? Where people value their guns over human life? And many folks erroneously think these guns make them safer. Deborah Donovan, Berwyn A new pledge to the flag Since the Supreme Court granted Donald Trump immunity from the law, thus rendering him lawless, and should he escape punishment for his felonies because of his money, I propose a new Pledge of Allegiance: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the plutocracy for which it stands: One nation under God, with liberty only for those who can obtain and retain more wealth for themselves, with freedom from governmental regulation, from equality, and from justice for all others. (AP) — Ramiro Enrique scored a first-half goal and that was all goalkeeper Pedro Gallese would need to lead Orlando City to a 1-0 victory over rival Atlanta United in an Eastern Conference semifinal at Inter&Co Stadium on Sunday. No. 4 seed Orlando City, in its first trip to the conference final, will host the seventh-seeded New York Red Bulls next Saturday or Sunday with a trip to the MLS Cup final on Dec. 7 on the line. The Red Bulls have made the playoffs in 14 straight seasons but never won the Cup. Orlando City grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute on an unassisted goal by Ramiro Enrique , who scored off a corner kick that struck the chest of teammate César Araújo near the goal. It was the first goal contribution for Enrique in seven playoff appearances. He scored eight times in the regular season - his second in the league. Gallese did not have to make a save in his 10th career postseason start — all with Orlando City. Three of his five shutouts in the playoffs have come in the past two seasons.
